AMAZING!!! Definitely NOT droopy Home Depot or grocery store plants that are poorly grown and badly cared for. Expert service on plants and landscaping advice, and it's FREE! Name brand annuals and perennials from reputable growers, and they guarantee their stock. Visited again for spring gardening plants and supplies, plants are healthy and prices are good. Staff is polite, knows their stuff. Stone yard is HUGE, Had 2 deliveries of gravel made, beautiful selection and prices are good, service is great. Great place to browse, too! read more

Lady at the front desk on 05/14 around 11:40am, beyond rude. I found a euphorbia that was not tagged, so I took it to the register, and asked how much it was. The first gentleman said was speaking with another and said he would charge 4.99. The other then said 19.99, and they came to the conclusion of 14.99. The gentleman walked away to deal with a phone call. Another gentleman was ringing my items up and I was explaining to him that the other gentleman told me it would be 14.99, but I was going to see if I could get it for 12.99 (again, not tagged, also a bit unhealthy). The lady walks up, (I honestly believe she thought I was trying to lie to the man) gets in my face, throws her hands up and says it's 14.99. I didn't even get to speak to her. I uttered no words to this lady while she was snapping at me. They're lucky I even bought what I did. 0/5 will NOT be back. read more

None of the employees were helpful at all. They would walk right past you. I had to find an employee to ask for assistance. The young lady did not know the answer to any of my questions and could only tell me what isle some of the materials were in and walked away quickly. I had to hunt her down to ask where the isle was as it was not in the store but outside. I had more questions and informed them of such and another young lady would quickly answer it and walk off so I found myself chasing someone down for hhelp for quite a bit of time. I finally got one of them to walk outside so we could go over different bushes and there was no willingness to assist. Body language displayed they were aggravated and did not want to help. I finally made the purchase even against my first mind, and I had to go back outside to pick up the material. I had to ask 5 times for directions on where exactly to pick it up. Once I was back there I had to wait 30 mins and mind you the store was empty. They guy did not want to help and stated he would quickly dump the mulch as he had other work to do and Need to keep moving. I asked if I'm a paying customer and made my purchases why he would rush me and be so rude to a customer. He simply stated that if I was not ready I would have to wait longer. I then stated this is poor service and he shrugged and said if I don't like it to return the equipment. I told him I would do just that and he shouted good. Once inside I was talking to the cashier about the service I received and would like to return everything. She never asked why or addressed the poor service I received. I stated they really need better help as they are losing business. She stated she doesn't think so and they really didn't want my kind of business anyway. I asked what she meant by that and she said they like helping their own kind. I was in shock. She quickly rang me up for a refund. Told me 5-7 days and have a good day. I will never go there again. Even in this day and time. We are still being faced with racism. And it's bad when Hate takes over and overrides making your business successful. read more

I was a regular customer for years and never needed to return anything, however, this summer I purchased an indoor plant for $80 that had a few brown leaves but appeared to be viable. Within weeks it was pretty much dead. By that time I could see it had a bad case of spidermite and returned it to the store. The owner or manager refused to give me a refund or replace the plant. My years of shopping with them made no difference and I lost $80. BTW the return policy stating no return of indoor plants is NOT posted only printed on the back of the receipt you get after your purchase. read more

Do not use this place if you are a Black or Brown individual. The employees are rude, argumentative and unpleasant. It's unfortunate that the racism is in your face. Clarke Garden Center and Stone Depot off rout 30 and I394. First time customer. Older lady was very rude to us. Several people pulled into the parking lot at the same time. Apparently they were having an early closing but did not have any signs on the property anywhere stating that. The woman came out in and told us that if we didn't leave the property we were going to be locked in and have to stay all night. I told her the gentleman told us that we could just look at the roses and she told us we had to park out on the street and walk back in. She had a very rude tone. First time customer and that will be the last time. read more

My husband came here on November 1st to pick up cement and two of the workers gave him attitude and were being so rude to him I'm not sure if it was a race thing but my husband is always professional these men had not reason to be son rude to him! I thank God I did not go with him they would of heard my mouth! My husband has an accent and I believe this is why the men were being rude! read more

I liked the wide selection of pots and other gardening/outdoor supplies. The unfortunate part was the actual plants. I felt like the houseplants were just a graveyard. More I would say 2/3 of the plants were in bad condition, either overwatered or burnt. I bought a succulent and took it home to find out the roots were about to rot from overwatering and the leaves were falling off. At least the staff was friendly though. read more

The flowers are beautiful the variety is great ! Unfortunately, not much for customer service There was not one employee asking if I needed any help! I finally found someone who was fixing the bushes / trees and as I asked him about a rose bush he indicated he is the delivery guy "he knows nothing!" I did return back for a couple more rose bushes and I must say they definitely have plenty to choose from ! So I admit I will continue to go ( knowing the customer services is NOT great ) because the variety and quality of the roses , bushes, flowers etc... is outstanding! read more

Have been buying their soil, amongst other things for several years, after learning that the pro's buy their soil there. I'm here to to you that the pro's were right! My tomatoes have been over 6 feet tall every year since. They mix their planting soil with all the great stuff your plants need. Do your garden a favor, try their soil. They deliver too. You can actually see the manure in it! read more

Wonderful gardening center- has everything I need for my veggie garden- manure/soil combo, pea gravel for my yard, an amazing selection all around! Edited to add the prices were fantastic- much better than other local nurseries. The staff was well-informed and incredibly helpful, answering all my questions about soil amendments. read more

I just want to give a shout out to Clarke's Stone Depot. This is my go to nursery when I need assistance/information or equipment. I have found them to be personable, knowledgeable and well stocked. Some items are more expensive than other places but it is the customer's choice what they purchase and where. I am a person that compares prices. I suggest that you give this place a try as they have a good variety of items, flowers and vegetables/fruits/herbs included. I have no complaints and I have been going there for years. read more

My friend and I went to this garden and were very excited about seeing it for the first time. Well, that's enough of that place. I had to go back to get an item that I wanted and that I could not find at any other nursery. I have never met more ignorant and rude personnel in my life. No customer service there AT ALL. They ignore you completely and heaven help you for asking a question. The guy at the counter continued to watch a game show while checking me out for my purchase. Sarcastically, he said thanks to the TV game show as he never looked at me again. The guy with him just looked at him and smirked and laughed. I don't get my feelings hurt by rude and ignorant people like this, but I think that HE thought that he was upsetting me and proving some type of rude point. Two occasions and ignorant and rude behavior on the part of the staff. Prices are high and service is beyond poor. Why ever go back or recommend this place to ANYONE??? The other review must have been written by themselves. While ignorant and rude are understatements of this childish, juvenile and unprofessional behavior by anyone, I'm at a loss for stronger words.
