Had never been to Muldoon's, but found myself there to meet up with a relative. It was a really pleasant experience. The menu is pretty extensive, plus they have specials. I opted to get the chicken paprikash, as I had to try the Irish take on a Hungarian classic. It actually was very tasty, though it was missing the full chicken parts, opting for chunks of chicken. While we sat and talked, we were also smitten by the dining room and the ornaments that decorated the walls including a Woodstock ticket, pictures of the Beatles, and some humor, aimed at their fellow Irishmen. The service was prompt and the staff professional. Next time I get back to Cleveland, pretty sure I'll be back to Muldoon's! read more

So walking into Muldoon's Restaurant today I was somewhat excited. The parking lot was full and that's always a good sign and upon entering the ambiance was true to a good old fashioned Irish Pub. We made our way to the bar and that's when it started to go from bad to worse. The bartender greeted us with a scowl on her face and the vibe was most definitely off. Anyways to cut to the chase I ordered a corn beef sandwich, and it was probably the worst I've ever had!! DRY and no FLAVOR what so ever not to mention very chintzy it was a very sad sandwich...and I was so looking forward to it. Love this place, they bring a basket of popcorn to the table to snack on while you look at the menu which gives you w variety of options without overwhelming you. The staff is friendly and welcoming. Not much more can be said about this great place. It is great to see Muldoon's surviving post pandemic. We ordered takeout all during the pandemic and were never disappointed. Except for the smaller number of guests during the worst of times, they seem to have bounced back. Have eaten here for many years, most recently Friday, February 02, 2024, and the place was PACKED! Dined in and ordered baked Grouper w/fries and Fish and Chips. We also had a full side order of their spectacular Onion Rings and their Irish Egg Rolls. The Onion Rings were served with Muldoon's sweet & sour sauce. The egg rolls were paired with a tasty Thousand Island dip. The quality of the food never changes. Always fresh and hot. The Grouper was baked, fresh & hot. The Fish & Chips dinner is breaded whitefish, served with fries and coleslaw. There are several preparation choices. Standard fare but well prepared. Always cooked properly (no sog), with two big pieces of fish and lots of fries. Creamy, crunchy coleslaw rounds out the dishes. When the appetizers arrived,, we had to wait a minute to enjoy. They were hot off the presses! The egg rolls were crispy and flavorful with a nice combination of cabbage and corned beef. Now on to one of my favorite pub foods; Onion Rings! Muldoon's has the best I have had since the original Manner's Big Boy Onion Rings. Neither dish was greasy, an indication of proper oil temperature and cooking time. An enjoyable meal. Friendly staff. And a nice touch; a manager stopped by our table as we prepared to leave to check our satisfaction and wish us a nice weekend. read more

This was the third or fourth time we've been here. ALL the staff is friendly and attentive! We come with our son, daughter-in-law and 2 1/2 year old granddaughter when we visit them in Cleveland Heights. We keep coming because, besides the friendliness, the food is just so good! Super friendly staff, food was incredible! Friday night and we got the last 2 spots at the bar. Full menu served, the fish (and chips) were the best I've had in a long time! Drink prices were reasonable. Volume in music was not deafening! If there has to be a -... while we were watching the baseball game, probably the only two in front of this TV actually paying some attention, the manager came up and changed the channel. Another great american food irish bar that i enjoy going to. This one,located in North Colinwood neighborhood, directly off 90E/W freeway on E185th Street. They have an epic beer selection, and if you want, can participate in their beer tour that is held annually. The food is very diverse and is reminicent of the immigrants that used to live in the neighborhood, from seafood and burgers to hungarian chicken paprikash, there is a very good selection of food. I had the cheese burger tonight, although the bbq burger is also most excellent. Generous helping of steak cut french fries, topped off with one of the many beers available on tap(I had a Bell's Two-Hearted Ale). I usually come at least once a month to eat with my mom and dad, and my brother and his family. So large party sizes are available. There is a back patio open in season, if you are a smoker you can also go out there instead of standing in the doorway. I highly recommend checking out this local watering hole!! read more

Muldoons, more like MOLDOONS Literally so bad gave us moldy popcorn and when we politely confronted them they gaslit us and said, and I quote; "shit happens". Along with claiming the popcorn was popped 30 minutes ago. Their food is wildly over priced for lousy quality and greasy fast food taste and quality. You'd be more satisfied eating at McDonald's or maybe even Burger King. The entire atmosphere in the place is unsettling, from the moment I walked in I was filled with utter disdain. Muldoon's is a superb hole-in-the way option for bar food just east of downtown. I have tried their Reuben and chicken sandwiches, both of which were very tasty. Both were also really modestly priced. The service I received even during takeout was some of the best I have received so far during COVID. The female bartender, although busy, was extremely polite to me and efficient. As I was leaving another waiter even went above and beyond telling me to "have a great night!" I stopped by Muldoon's after placing a phone order. I have eaten in the restaurant before and since non-fast food restaurant options are limited in this area of town, I decided that Muldoon's would be a fun and easy meal when picking up lunch for a friend who was recovering from knee surgery. The process of ordering over the telephone was quick and easy. I ordered 2 Maui Chicken Salads which had a teriyaki glazed chicken breast over a bed of lettuce. The salad was complimented with pineapples, almonds, water chestnuts and oranges and came with a delightful oriental dressing. It also came with a delightfully soft, warm, garlicky breadstick. When I went to pick up the order the server at the bar was quick, pleasant and efficient. The restaurant was packed and all of the food I observed being served looked delicious with very plentiful portions! In the past went I visited Muldoon's I've really enjoyed their appetizers (there are many options) and their sandwiches which are huge! Now that I've tried the Maui Chicken Salad, I may never go back to the sandwiches. It truly was that good. We came in from the west side last night to see a band at the Beachland Ballroom and decided to stop here for a bite to eat before the show. We are so glad we did, everything we ordered was outstanding including the service. We ordered burgers, tortilla soup, french fries, chicken wings and onions rings that were freshly batter dipped, not frozen. Seems like the draught beer was served in chilled glasses too. Perfect!. The complementary popcorn was a nice touch and you can't beat the prices. Will definitely make a trip back out to this place, hopefully soon. read more

This is a great place to watch football and hang out with the family. Their corned beef sandwich and veggie burger is very good! The corned beef is thin sliced and the veggie burger is well seasoned. The service is excellent and it's nice to see a waiter taking pride in their job, they're very knowledgeable and helpful in regards to the best items on the menu for each diet type. Hockey tournament this weekend so out for dinner with my wife. Was hankering for dinner at 185 bistro which is now closed unfortunately. Next stop Muldoon's just down the street. Ive been to Muldoon's a number of times for lunch since I used to work nearby. We sat at the bar. It was quite packed with the local dinner crowd. I ordered the meatloaf loaf melt and some of their awesome potato ham soup. The sandwich was awesome served with gravy and fires. I thhink I used the gravy more for the fries then sandwich. Soup was filling and flavorful after doctoring it up with a little Tabasco. My wife also enjoyed her chicken sandwich and house salad. Bar tender super friendly and attentive.
