    32. Steak Dirty Fries & 31. Chicken Dirty Fries
    Melissa M.

My friend and I DoorDash'd for lunch and she failed to mention one order could feed 4 people I had the chicken dirty fries and it had all the adult junk food elements: hot fries, grilled (seasoned) chicken, ranch, cheese and some peppers, onions and mushrooms that weren't mushy. I really enjoyed trying to make a dent in mine. My friends steak was a bit too well done and chewy so took a star for that. Otherwise, great for a hangover, cheat day (like, the whole day) or a breakup

After driving by this place for as long as I can remember, I finally decided to give it a try. Their corned beef is constantly advertised in front of the building, so I thought I'd get the Dale sandwich. The sandwich was very good. The corned beef was shaved and crumbly, but still had some moisture to it. The mustard and Swiss cheese complimented it well. It came with a pickle and a hefty portion of French fries. The fries had a nice Cajun seasoning on them, but were a bit on the soggy side. Overall it was a good meal, and I would consider going there again, but I'm not sure when. If you're in the mood for a quick sandwich, I think Papa Joe's is a far better option. If you're in the mood for a good corned beef sandwich, Muldoon's is leaps and bounds better. At $10.25 for the sandwich plus $0.60 for the cheese plus $1.25 for the fries, there are cheaper options out there. But they do deliver, so it's nice to have available if you want delivery and don't want pizza or Chinese.

Hard chicken and food was cold. Never order from them again.

Restauranti ordered two orders of wings dinner and cheese burger was hard and black. the driver was late with the food. The food was cold too. I wish I can take a picture of this food. When you don't change your Grease it's makes the chicken looks black. And the Restaurant used flour. That's not flour dales on put on chicken. just a waste of money. My mom standing in the heat Waiting on the blacken chicken. I will not order from them again. Am about Tired of eating out. With Bad cooking skills.

Thought i would randomly start trying some of the local businesses I pass everyday and Dales Deli caught my eye with the help of Yelp. Instantly after looking at the menu I fell in the trap of wanting to order a bit of everything. Pictured below are a chicken Philly and chicken dirty fries. Both were more than satisfactory, service was really quick and personal which is always a plus for me. So much that I've been back twice since this post! If you're looking to try out a place with reasonable prices and solid portions, definitely stop by

So let's start with the 4 inches of meat packed in this sandwich! I've been here twice now and have had the corned beef and the Reuben. I hold every city with good food to Chicago standards but these two versions far exceed anything I've had in Chicago thus far. You can tell this is a city that specializes in these sandwiches. Dales is a hole in the wall that I hear doubles as a "alleged" underground gambling op. Not sure about the validity to this claim but even if it was true they seem to give lots of attention to the crafting of the sandwiches. They have tables out front and no room to sit inside. Pick up only. Food is made to order and comes out quick. Staff is nice and the sandwiches....O-M-G! My wife's cousins says there a bigger better corned beef here in town. I guess I'm going to have to see for myself!

I ordered the 5-piece wing dinner with hot lemon pepper wings, a side of macaroni, and the greens/cabbage, plus an extra side of fries with sauce. I'll be honest the fries weren't really necessary for me and I could've done without them. But the wings? So good. I don't usually go for lemon pepper, but this flavor was on point, perfectly seasoned with just the right kick. The sides were solid too and complemented the meal well. Overall, I really enjoyed it and will definitely be ordering again.

Normally a place I try never live up to the hype, however, I'm happy to say I was wrong in this case. The side portions are very generous. The mac & cheese is good. The collards mixed with cabbage were outstanding. The wings are delicious ,fried to crisp with beautiful sauce that doesn't drown the flavor out of the seasoning. I chose hot honey lemon pepper. (There's other flavors) In fact it enhances your taste buds. I also tried their beef cheesecake eggrolls, which are pretty decent size. They are a little pricey but I enjoyed. Honestly, the sauce that comes with it isn't necessary. They're fine on their own. I wish we got a little more meat, but it's not a huge deal. Everything is made fresh to order. I highly recommend you give them a try,and if I'm area again I'll return

If I am in the Willowick area I will usually try to stop by Sweetberry Fresh Market to see what I can find. Sweetberry is a medium sized market with a large selection of produce and fruits, a full deli counter, butcher counter, bakery, groceries and prepared foods. Once you have parked you get your first taste of what is best and freshest since they have a display of vegies on sale on the side and front porch; which is open in the summer and covered in the winter. Inside you find a tightly packed market which is usually packed with people. The staff does a nice job of keeping things moving, but it can get a bit overwhelming and slow at times. I usually concentrate on the fruits and vegetables; prices are moderate, although I can usually find good deals on the sale items. For me I can pass on most of the other food, while they have a freezer of frozen fish and seafood, there is no fresh seafood. Most times I visit Sweetberry while the selection is good between the crowds and the prices, I either leave with nothing or just a couple of items. If you are in the area Sweetberry is a good alternative to the grocery stores, but probably not worth a special trip.

They have your usual produce as well as some interesting finds like dragonfruit, papaya, mangoes, and fun melon varieties. Their prices for staples like carrots and potatoes cannot be beaten! They do have varieties of meats as well, including Amish chicken. They carry Amish fry pies too, sometimes from Der Dutchman! We also love the fancy pastas available, and that they carry Original Bagel company bagels from Bohemia, NY (this New York girl is very particular about what she calls a good bagel!). We've been going here since before my baby girl was born in 2025, and we've been bringing her along with us since she was an infant. The staff recognizes her and is always so friendly and sweet with her, and she always enjoys shopping with us and picking out an 'emotional support fruit' to carry along on her shop. It IS important to note that the store is on the small side and that the aisles are quite narrow. It can also be packed during peak hours, so you just need some patience. It's worth it!

Jack's Deli is an Eastern European/Jewish deli that's been a part of the community since the…read more1980's. The original owner grew up in then Czechoslovakia and brought a part of home to the US. Recently the deli was acquired by the Cleveland Restaurant Group. I've been visiting the deli for over half a decade when I crave Eastern European meals. Lately I've been less enthusiastic about visiting due to food changes. RECENT CHANGES: The deli operations have remained unchanged from the customer standpoint. There is still restaurant area and deli. The menu is the same. The hours of operating were reduced with few dinner times remaining. The food recently drastically worsened seemingly due to ingredients. Soups especially took a hit tasting more artificial. ATMOSPHERE: Casual, old style, mom and pop atmosphere. Most guests are families. The front of the business is a deli where you can order your goodies and pay at the counter. The back is the restaurant where you can get seated by the host who is located by the deli. The layout makes entry and exit challenging. FOOD: I always take my food to go, and never dined at the restaurant. I previously ordered many dishes and to be honest can't remember them all. All were good. As a result, I'll talk about my latest order. - Cabbage Borscht ($11.75 for a quart) - I'm from the country who invented borscht and had many borschts in my life from different countries. This is not borscht. It has no beets. It's a vegetable cabbage soup. The menu does not indicate this is a spicy soup, the receipt indicates "hot cabbage soup." The soup is spicy which borscht never is. Worst of all, there is a very strong hint of canned tomatoes or some tomato paste. I couldn't eat more than two spoons of this soup due to artificial flavor. It's very poorly made. It's hard to name this homemade soup as listed in the menu because of artificial ingredients. Real tomatoes would drastically improve this soup. - Mushroom Barley ($11.75) - The soup wasn't pleasant. It tastes slimy. I think that the problem is the base is some vegetable puree. I didn't enjoy it. - Knishes ($7.90 x 2) - I love knishes here and they taste the same as before. Very heavy on the meat (Rueben in my case) and delicious. To be very honest they don't always feel fresh but I love them just the same. SERVICE: Service is average. The guys at the deli aren't too warm or friendly. The checkout people are always nice. There is clearly some miscommunication between the kitchen and the front of the house. Items are frequently promised but then denied. The front of the house seems to not know at all what's available in the back. There has to be some communication or inventory tool to fix this. It's confusing to the first time customers. It's also confusing to me with every order. PARKING: Plenty of parking available with two entrances and exits. The main entry from Cedar Road is the easiest. Stay vigilant as you navigate the parking lot, there are some narrow parts and alleys with two way traffic. The one differentiating factor of this restaurant was its homemade appeal. Everything tasted like someone's Eastern European grandma shared the recipe and prepared the food. Now the food is tasting commercial and lost its initial appeal. I'll be back to Jack's Deli for the deli (knishes) but won't be ordering any restaurant items again.
