Mullers! Pretty funny (and fitting) since that's my name too! The staff here is wonderful--super friendly, attentive young ladies who really take care of the tables. Prices are fair, and the food is so good! I tried my very first Reuben here and it was absolutely delicious. The homemade soups are rich and flavorful, and the Greek salad came loaded with all the best toppings. They offer both indoor and outdoor dining--we chose to sit outside, and the weather, atmosphere, surrounding area, and music made it a perfect experience. Definitely worth a visit! read more

Muller's exemplifies and amplifies the super cute German theme of Helen, Georgia. My sister and I went and had an enormous breakfast with a beautiful array of their fine food! We had to have their Epic fried cheese kabob. If you love cheese, do not skip this. Make this your cheat day if you have to. It is outstanding, especially with that little spring mix side salad. My sis ordered the chicken schnitzel with eggs and home style potatoes. I had the mouth-watering French toast. Needless to say, we didn't leave a spec of food. The chicken was juicy and tender and crispy all at once. The service was outstanding. The server was very kind and attentive. Tried this place for dinner based on their reviews. The host was nice. The manager who seated us was really nice. My server very nice too. My biggest complaint is about the wait encountered. I was quoted about 30 minutes to be seated and was probably a little over that, thankfully with other parties leaving to get progressed through the list faster. Once we were seated though, the first thing our waitress said is that it was going to be another hour before the kitchen would have our food out. In reality, time from seating to getting our food was probably was closer to an hour and a half. I ordered the wiener schnitzel with potato salad and spätzle. Everything tasted very good. I enjoyed my schnitzel. I liked the flavor of their potato salad a lot but didn't care for peas being in it. That was a first for me. The spätzle was good. I did order it with some additional toppings which were missing when it came out. No way I was sending it back. The plain original one was fine and they fixed the check no problem before cashing out. All in all, I would recommend this place on the food if their was not a wait. I would be hesitant to recommend it if you get waitlisted outside because of how long it took the kitchen. I hope they get that figured out. On food alone I wpuld of gave them 4 stars. For me tonight and the overall experience, I have to drop it to 3. read more

Not ideal breakfast spot- The service was great, but the food left us disappointed. We had the grilled cheese/tomato soup which admittedly was good, nothing to write home about but nice on a cold day. The chicken schnitzel though was truly awful- the breading was half off it when it arrived and was so rubbery we spit out the few bites we tried. The eggs and potatoes were typical diner style so not much to praise or complain of. The only saving grace was the great hot cocoa we had. Decided to eat here based on two factors- high yelp ratings and they are able to cater to GF allergies. Sadly most restaurants in Helen get horrible reviews, couldn't find one over a 4! We sat outside on a beautiful fall day, our waitress was so kind and excellent, she got our drinks right away, answered our food questions and made great recommendations and suggestions for allergies. I got the bratwurst sandwhich with no bun and a side salad. The bratwurst wasn't bad, the sourkraut a little too soggy but the salad was really great- fresh lettuce, veggies and cut cheese that was so great and home made dressing. The hubs got the Ruben and fresh cut fries. You can get frozen fries or for $2 more fresh cut. Get the fresh cut- really good! We stopped here to get breakfast while visiting Helen. They were very quick to sit us down and take our order. However, we didn't get the food until 45 minutes later. We were advised the kitchen was behind and that to do a breakfast order they have to clean the grill to do eggs. This makes no sense considering they have an all day breakfast. Why not have a grill for eggs? They also advertise their famous fried cheese but to me it was just a mozzarella stick lol Other than that there was nothing special about the breakfast. We chose this spot for breakfast and we were very well pleased with our decision. We sat outdoor looking over the other establishments since it was a nice day out. The ambiance of the place was awesome and very well decorated. The staff was very kind and very helpful when it came down to the menu because it was a German establishment. The service of the staff was an amazing even when we had to wait a little more for our food but then again we went when it was Octoberfest in the town so every place was jam packed. But let me tell you when that food came out everything was made with love and perfection as you can see from my photos. My chicken Shnitzel was to die for, it had bacon and a fried cheese in it and gave it that extra spunk with a sunny side egg on it. And if you've never tried a burger with a sunny side egg on it then you must try it. My GF had the breakfast plate with eggs, roasted potatoes seasoned to perfection. While my mother had her scrambled eggs with those roasted potatoes and toast. She also had a black coffee and said it was delicious. Overall this place went above and beyond our expectation and if we are ever back in Helen Georgia we will definitely visit again. read more

This was likely THE best grilled chicken breast sandwich I've ever had. We ate dinner there last night and came back for breakfast today. On request, they cooked another chicken breast to go along with my breakfast. We enjoyed the indoor air-conditioned dining room but there are also plentiful seating areas outside, too. Big variety of menu items. Great service at both meals. Five dedicated parking spots near the door. The prices were excellent and portions were just right. Very happy. This is another of my favorite restaurants in Helen. They have gluten free fried cheese, and it is amazing!!! I just love the texture of it. The roasted potatoes it comes with are thin sliced, are perfectly greasy and lightly salted. They also have gluten free schnitzel, which is phenomenal. My family and I visited this restaurant today and waited about 25 minutes to be seated since we were a party of 8, understandable. About 15 minutes after we ordered, we asked about our food and were told it would be another 30 minutes, and the server didn't apologize. No one mentioned it would take that long before. It actually took 38 more minutes, and our order was messed up, missing two plates. The food was good, but definitely not worth the wait. Places like Helen are an extreme oddity of a town. They aim to pay tribute to a culture, but also distort it into something that is difficult to describe. In this case, it a strange combination of North Georgia country tradition, with a light overcast of German flare. It is as touristic as towns like this get. Zdenek Muller, the head chef and family owner, got his culinary training in Prague and opened this gem of a restaurant. Muller family came to Helen on a vacation 19 years ago and fell in love with the town, deciding to open a restaurant. This particular review will focus on the breakfast experience at Muller's. The bratwurst platters are substantial enough to feed multiple people. The bratwurst is tasty. Breakfast potatoes are solid. And after a meal like this, the beer from last night is sufficiently greased over. There is a pleasant front patio and while it is facing a road, it's not an extremely busy one, thus making for a rather nice spot outdoors to enjoy a meal. We came in the beginning of March, and there was only one other small party eating inside. Scored one of the very few free restaurant parking spots right in front of the restaurant and the parking lot. It was a bit chilly inside and the old pop hit music was loud. They lowered the volume of the music a little bit after my mother-in-law asked. We ordered Czech entrees, the Schweinebraten and Roasted duck. Both of the entree meats had flavor but parts of the duck was a little dry. They both needed a sauce so we asked for a side of mushroom gravy ($3), which was good and made the dishes taste better. They both came with cooked shredded sweet red cabbage, sauerkraut, and homemade bread dumplings (more like slices of bread), which were all okay. The sauerkraut was not extremely tangy, more mild. Bread dumplings were soft-would have been better if they had a sauce/gravy to soak up. For dessert, ordered a warm apple strudel and chocolate fudge cake to go. They were both okay. The chocolate fudge cake tasted like it was from a cake box. Our waitress was kind and friendly. They have high chairs available. No changing table in the bathroom. Didn't realize until after there was a 4% processing fee that was automatically added. Not sure if that was because they assumed we were going to pay with credit card or not. So make sure to ask if that can be taken off if you're not paying with credit card. read more

We took a short weekend trip to Helen, GA and decided to try Muller's. It was just before lunch on Friday. We were immediately greeted warmly. The food was wonderful, we ordered a fried cheese kabob appetizer and enjoyed the various fried cheeses. We shared an order of Chicken Cordon Bleu and roasted potatoes...whoa, delicious. I felt we would be remiss if we hadn't ordered some potato salad at a German restaurant, and boy was I right! It was most likely the best potato salad I've had...like my late German mother used to make. We finished off the meal with some apple strudel with vanilla ice cream. Couldn't have been more pleased. The prices were reasonable and the decor was what you'd expect of a traditional German-themed restaurant. I'd recommend Muller's 10 out of 10 times. A very fun, quirky place. Hey, if you're going to be in a town with a cafe that has fried cheese in the name.... you've got to visit. We were seated quickly, overall place is quite clean, and busy but attentive service. We had the fried cheese kabob appetizer, interesting... not sure it's something my intestinal system could have a repeat order on, but interesting. They serve it was a salad (?) and Texas toast. The dipping sauce I to ask our server what it was... the answer is tartar sauce. Well that's different. We ordered a cheeseburger to share, and the waitress didn't hear us say cheese, but in the end that's probably a good idea after the cheese app. Solid burger, good fries. They let us order as a to-go, and then we ate on the patio. I had the spaetzle with creamy mushroom sauce and added chicken. LOVED! and I suppose it was good that it was in a to-go box because I could only finish half. Anyway, I think this place could do a great late-night business with a limited menu.
