We ordered the egg crepe with bacon and cheese it was so delicious we left happy plates!

This little place called to us after being turned away at another well known place in Helen I whipped out my phone and searched for a brunch place and this little gem popped up! This is the BEST kept secret in Helen! We loved the coffee and the food as well as ambiance and service. The best music was also playing!

Stopped for lunch today to check the place out. Good service with the two young ladies there. Had the Philly Cheese Crepe for lunch. Plenty of meat in the crepe that is for sure. Very filling meal peppers and onions were cooked correctly. A little upset they were out of Provolone Cheese at 12:40 PM and they still have a good 6 hours. No one made an attempt to send someone to the store to get the correct cheese. That is prevalent in a lot of stores lately just run out of items and wait till they show up. Also out of mushrooms for someone else's crepe. Will give them another try sometime later. Would of been 5 stars if better customer service.

This place was sooooo good! Had one of the best crepes ever here. I got the banana cream one and mh boyfriend got the s'mores crepe. We were so hungry we didn't get a photo! The servers were very nice and they gave us a sample of different crepes. Small place but not busy at all. They have various crepes to choose from and a few menu options if you don't want crepes.

The lady working there, Megan, was very nice and sweet helping us with our order. Best cappuccino in the US! The crepe was delicious. Very happy to have breakfast there. I highly recommend this place.

Counter service. We got the turkey/spinach/avocado, egg/bacon, and a Nutella/strawberry crepes. Filling. We would recommend one per person...

Nice and cozy! 6 tables and 5 seats at bar area. Rustic decor, booths along the wall. Hostess Ashley and Wayne the Crepe Chef were amazing. Nothing like eating breakfast with some pure classic rock like Prairie League playing in the background. We shared the Egg, Bacon and Cheese Crepe. It was nice, light and delicious. Then for dessert we ordered the American Crepe with Blueberries and Cream Cheese. It was an amazing eating experience. Fresh blueberries, melted Cream Cheese with a drizzle of condensed milk sauce on the top. This is a keeper!

Restaurant Review: Village Crepe Haus No, no, no. I'm not trying to be mean, but Village Crepe Haus just did nothing for me. I had high hopes, but they fell short. We tried the s'mores crepe and the gyro crepe, and neither impressed. The s'mores crepe was overdone and too much to handle. The gyro crepe was even worse--dry, flavorless meat with an overcooked crepe. The place itself is extremely small, not conducive to much, but it does have a cute ambiance. On the positive side, the customer service is extremely welcoming, and the coffee is strong, which I appreciated. But, I'm sorry, Village Crepe Haus--I won't be returning.

First impression: I was SO excited to eat here while I was in town.. the outside of the crepe house is adorable, as is everything in this cute little German themed town. We came in around 11 o clock on a Sunday (on the off season) and this little place was SLAMMED. There's a very limited amount of seats and tables. But luckily by the time we were done waiting in line we were able to snag a table. (We were standing in line waiting to order for about 10-15 minutes, and we don't receive our food for another 15-20 min after that). The coffee: I ordered a white chocolate cappuccino.. it was 10 out of 10. I like my coffee sweet but with a strong coffee flavor and this fully delivered. My partner ordered a s'mores iced coffee and she really loved it! It was sweet and creamy and everything she wanted.. Le crepe: I had a Nutella crepe with strawberries and bananas. It was DELICIOUS. Easily 5 stars. It was soft and fluffy, the fruit was perfectly ripe and delicious. My partner had a Elvis crepe but she substituted the peanut butter for Nutella. It was totally delicious, but unfortunately it was a little crispy and kept cracking. The guy making the crepes (may have the been the owner?) was super nice and instantly made her another one. The second one brought out was perfect and honestly I was kinda jealous on how delicious her crepe was. The only think I really didn't like was the pricing system... for most of the crepes, it a "build your own" and they charge by the ingredient. By the time I was done I paid $40 for two crepes and 2 coffees. It was definitely worth it and I would do it again; but I do wish they had more crepes on the menu that were pre-set combos with 1 set price (like the Elvis). Over all there was a few cons to this little spot, but it was so delicious and you can tell it is a small, family owned business. Which is why I think this place is a MUST if you're rolling through Helen. Just make sure you don't stop in at brunch time if you have a strict time schedule.

Tasty! We visited at around 10:00am on a Saturday morning and it was packed! We got our crepes to go. My wife got strawberry, I got Nutella and banana. The portions were reasonable for the price. Delicious!

They make beautiful cakes and pastries in the bakery!

We came here for Oktoberfest! The wait was about an hour and the line was down the sidewalk, but our server and the manager (she seemed like the magnet) were so friendly and helpful. We got to try the amazing omelet with cream cheese and scallions, pumpkin pancake, and delicious German coffee. The fresh breads were also very tasty with a good texture. The inside was cozy with cute little Swiss toIt was well worth the wait! The bakery is very popular with a wide variety of pastries and cakes as well.

This place has the best espresso coffee that I've had in Helen. We highly recommend this place.

This place is so cute. The service is very good and the crepes are amazing. I would recommend this place to anyone visiting Helen

Why are they charging folks to use cash?

The store is cute inside and out. Friendly service. Just normal crepes so this place isn't a must since they are pricey. They also have surcharges on cash purchases which is ridiculous.

$49 for two crepes, a waffle, and an iced coffee. ($7 coffee) All were good, but not worth that price in our opinion.

We ordered the pretzel sticks with their beer cheese, and they were incredible. The pretzels were warm, soft on the inside with the perfect chewy exterior, and the beer cheese was rich, creamy, and full of flavor. It was the perfect snack to share while exploring downtown. We also couldn't resist the bakery. We picked up a raspberry Linzer cookie, and it was phenomenal, buttery, perfectly baked, and filled with just the right amount of sweet-tart raspberry jam. Before leaving, we grabbed a bottle of their blueberry maple syrup to take home, and if it tastes anything like everything else we tried, I'm sure it'll be just as amazing. Their bakery cases are packed with fresh breads, pastries, cookies, cakes, jams, and other specialty items that make it hard to leave empty-handed. The atmosphere is warm, cozy, and beautifully fits Helen's Bavarian theme. The smell of fresh bread greets you as soon as you walk through the doors, making it feel like an authentic German bakery. Even with how busy it was, the staff kept everything moving efficiently and were friendly throughout our visit. Whether you're stopping in for breakfast, a snack, or just to browse the bakery, Hofer's is well worth the visit. Between the fresh baked goods, delicious food, authentic atmosphere, and unique take-home items, it's easy to see why it's one of Helen's most popular spots. We'll definitely be back on our next trip.

So happy that I did! When I walked in, the staff were super friendly and all smiles. The cashier/barista was such a sweetheart! They have a cheese market, deli, bakery bar, and coffee shop all in one! They sell all kinds of charcuterie items, from salami, cheese, jam, jellies, to coffee, candy, wine, and chocolates. They also sell cutting boards and other little trinkets. I absolutely loved that they sell "charcuterie for one" that has cheese, meats, and olives for a single serving on the go too! We saw that they had a lunch box special for sandwiches that includes a sandwich, cookie, pickle spear, and bag of chips for $12. What a steal!!! We decided to get the Jammin' Pig sandwich which is a panini pressed sandwich with ham, brie cheese, and cherry jalapeño jam. The lunch box was a great size and included Lay's regular potato chips and a chocolate chip cookie! They also sell other cookies and baked goodies (brownies, cakes, etc.) at the bakery bar area. The sandwich was probably the best sandwich I ever had in my life. Holy cow! The sandwich was pressed and grilled perfectly with nice grill marks and the meat and cheese was fresh! The brie and the cherry jalapeño jam melted together so nicely and added a creamy and flavorful element to the sandwich. The ham provided the saltiness that helped cut a little bit of the sweetness from the jam. The jam wasn't spicy at all. It was a beautifully balanced sandwich. My husband thought I was exaggerating (because I'm not picky with anything haha), but as soon as he took a bite, his expression was speechless. He loved the sandwich so much, that we decided to come back the very next day and ordered the same sandwich and tried another one. If you want to take another step, take a bite of the sandwich and then a bite of the pickle for that hint of acidity. It causes a umami effect with all the flavors dancing on your palette! For the lunch box special, you either get a chocolate chip cookie or the white chocolate cranberry one (I believe they alternate cookie flavors based on their inventory), but both cookies were delicious. The texture is not like other cookies as it's more like an oatmeal texture kind of deal. A little bit crumbly, but nonetheless, both flavors were very good and tasty. My husband ordered the Kickin' Horse sandwich the day after and he actually liked it better than the Jammin' Pig. His sandwich consisted of ciabatta bread, roast beef, muenster cheese, horseradish sauce, and onion, panini pressed style. I had a bite of his sandwich and all the flavors worked so well. The horseradish sauce brings out the roast beef flavor and enhances the muenster cheese. We tried some iced latte specials as well. We had the "Hippie Chick" that is a lavender honey flavored latte and the "Sweater Weather" which is a cinnamon and caramel? flavored latte. We absolutely loved the Hippie Chick latte and ordered another one when we came back, but the "Sweater Weather" wasn't our favorite. Respectfully, it tasted like a fall candle. It was good, but not the best we've had. Overall, we will definitely come back when we're in the area. The price was worth it for the amount of food that you get! Trust me when I say to get the sandwiches! You will not be disappointed!!! Now I'm craving their Jammin' Pig sandwich....
