Went here for lunch on a Wednesday. We had steak tacos and fish tacos. The food was very good. The atmosphere was absolutely amazing. Sitting inside over looking the lake in a quiet restaurant is nearly impossible any more. Our waitress was friendly and helpful. They do offer a gluten free bun even though it isn't in the menu. The food was fresh and temperature accurate. I had the club sandwich which wasn't small with kettle chips. It was delicious and filling. My wife had the cheeseburger with the gluten free bun and a side salad which wasn't small. Met my family here for a quick lunch in between rounds and was pleasantly surprised. I'm thinking just a hot dog or packaged sandwich like most golf course restaurants, but not here. Full menu from burgers to wraps to fish and chips. I heard the bbq wrap was incredible, and I had there version of a BLT but better. Fries were perfect and so were the onion rings. Moses Pointe Steakhouse is out on the west side of the lake. It's kind of off in it's own little corner of the greater Moses Lake area. We had a bit of trouble finding the place in the dark, but eventually we got there! The restaurant is actually in the same building as the golf course's pro shop. The restaurant has a nice ambiance, and I imagine that during the summer the outdoor dining is spectacular with a view of the lake. The food here was pretty good. I had a huge steak that was covered in some sauce made from Jack Daniels. The steak was good, but the sauce was a bit on the sweet side. The service was prompt and friendly. Overall, for the upper end of dining in Moses Lake, this place I think has a superior look. As for the food, it's about the same as could be had in other areas of town...and those other places are a bit cheaper too. read more

I was torn between 3 and 4 stars for this place. I'd go with a respectable 3.5 but that isn't an option. The food was good, but I didn't feel it's value was equivalent to it's price. That said, I was in town for several days and it doesn't seem like Moses Lake has a ton of options, so this is definitely a MUST-GO place if you want a classy meal. As the title suggests, it's a steakhouse. There were other things on the menu, but not many - and nothing memorable. I did have the french onion soup, which was a bit saltier than average, but bursting with flavor (though it was a bad choice for someone about to eat a large steak, as it was awfully filling). All in all I had a very good meal, but if I lived in Moses Lake I think this would be a rare treat, as there was nothing I felt would drag me back aside from the desire to have a good steak in a quiet, classy establishment. read more

This restaurant likely gets far less attention than they deserve. We met friends there recently who were playing golf. (We don't play ourselves.) It's very likely we wouldn't have discovered this restaurant otherwise. But, we're very glad we did. Service was excellent. Our waitress was attentive, had a great attitude, and was fun. I had a clubhouse type sandwich with avocado and onion rings. Both were delicious. My companion had the fish & chips and she said they were excellent. They serve NW microbrews on tap, including some from a local Moses Lake brewery. - - Between great friends, the delicious food, nice view, and reasonable prices - we had a wonderful time. We may not play golf, but we will definitely come back to Mulligans. It's only about 10 minutes off the freeway, no further than other restaurants we frequent in Moses Lake that don't rate as high. read more

We decided to give Moses Pointe a try for our anniversary dinner. Having read the reviews on Yelp, I felt confident I wasn't going to die, but might be a little disappointed. Keep in mind, we live here. We aren't some elitist hipster foodies from the West Side. We have pretty simple desires. Good food, good service, and a pleasant/ clean environment to enjoy those things. Staff was very friendly and welcoming, I had reserved a table for two. When we arrived the hostess asked if we had reservations, and we replied in the affirmative. She told us she had our table ready, which was a nice touch. The place only had like 2-3 other parties of 4 or less, but I appreciate the extra attention. We had water and cocktails in short order. The bread basket was a little slow to come out, but it was yummy. They have olive oil and balsamic on the table for dipping, or they have butter on request. Not sure what criteria the comments about this being an "upscale" restaurant are based on. We saw everything from nicely (casual) dressed diners to schleps coming off the golf course in shorts and T-shirts. Don't get me wrong, I think that's cool. I've never been a "suit", and never understood the attraction to be one. So that's all good. Decor (if that's your thing) IMHO is nice. A lot of dark woodwork, with a pretty open feel. The deck looks very nice. It was raining when we went, so we stayed inside. If I would change anything, I guess it would be the weird silk (plastic?) flowers. Looks cheap... And just plain weird. Doesn't fit with the rest of the place. There are other means of adding color. Lose the flowers. I decided to be adventurous and ordered the lobster. Came with a side salad and roasted reds and seasonal veggies. The salad was good. Mixed greens, with tomato chunks and pecans (?). Blue cheese dressing was tasty. The only down side, the chunks of slightly brown lettuce end pieces. Tasted okay but visually unappealing. I know, I know.. Such a small detail, but come on? Pull those suckers outta there! Maybe use a plastic or ceramic knife to prevent browning (yes, it does work). I ordered the lobster simply because seafood is a good test of a kitchen's skill. A little spendy and potentially a disaster. Mmmmyeah... Wasn't so great. Pretty much over cooked. Rubbery desiccated lobster-stuff. Either it sat under the heat lamp too long, or it was freezer burned. Presentation was kind of just tossed onto the plate. I can deal with that if the food is good. Not much passion on my plate. Don't expect me to be excited about your offerings if the chef isn't passionate about his product. The roasted red potatoes were very obviously pre-cooked, noticeably leathery, and might be considered "over seasoned" for some palates. On the up side the asparagus and carrots were pretty much perfect! Wife said her dish was alright. I sampled the Alfredo sauce. Was quite yummy. Not your basic institutional uber thick sauce. This stuff tasted pretty fresh. For the round up, I'm not impressed. I will go again simply because it is different for us, and the service was pretty good. I believe in second and even third or fourth chances. Funny thing about good restaurants. If you build it, they will come. And by building I mean respect, and clientele. If you continue to offer mediocre product, then you will only be... Well... Mediocre... luke-warm...just okay, somewhere between great and suckiness. When we walked in it was really bright outside and all the dark wood textures made it impossible to see inside --with the lights off. Yes the dining room lights were off the entire time making it nigh impossible to see anything. The glasses were also heavily water spotted. Not very professional or clean. The food was decent but nothing extraordinary. I had the French dip. Traditional apparently means onions and cheese with roast beef (something not stated on the menu). This restaurant is not worth your time to drive all the way out. It also has a fabulous view of a dead field. read more

So disappointed. Worst French dip I've ever had. Ribs were awful. We were told we had to go get mustard from the "mustard wall". Chicken wings were mushy. We won't be back. Very sad for this horrible change to what used to be a great restaurant. read more

My boyfriend and I came here for an early Valentine's Day weekend dinner before a movie. The location is a bit out there, but worth the drive for us since we were getting tired of going to Michael's on the Lake in town. They had a special Valentine's Day menu, and the waiter was a sweetheart. Boyfriend had bacon-wrapped filet mignon, and I had macadamia-encrusted lamp chops. Both were pretty good! I can't speak for the regular menu, since I've only been there once. The place was very quiet, but got packed pretty darn quickly around 7 (some soap opera star was visiting). Disappointed. Went on a Friday after work to do three things: enjoy an outdoor patio while eating a juicy steak and drink Pinoit. Pinoit noir, of course. My wife and I were seated at a nice table outdoors with a great view. While ordering, the waitress told me I had a "wasp on my neck" to which I stupidly grabbed, and in response the wasp did what wasps do: it stung me. Of course this is not the restaurant's fault in any way, but it still happened and it still was a bad experience. After ordering a New York steak, medium rare with onion soup, the waitress came back and told me they are out of the onion soup. So, despite already having salad for lunch earlier, I got a Caesar salad. Once we got our plates I asked the waitress if I can get a taste-pour of the "Okonagan Pinot." A few minutes later she comes back with a glass of white wine. I apologize saying I should have been more specific: "Pinot noir, not grigio." Not entirely the waitress's fault, but you would think that a waitress at a steakhouse would either seek clarification or know that red wine, not white, goes with steak. After removing the pinot grigio glass, a few moments later she returns and tells me they are out of the Pinot noir. Okay, nevermind I'll stick with my beer. I cut into my steak. The entire thing is grey with a little light purple in the very middle. It's also way too tough. I wait for the waitress to return, and explain to her tell that I ordered medium rare and this steak is more like medium well. Some will say I am being to picky; if you say that then you don't know steak. Medium well and medium rare are light years apart in terms of taste, texture, and overall experience. She asks me if I want them to make a new steak. Of course I do. I wasn't just pointing this fact out for the benefit of the restaurant. When I get my new plate, the steak is exactly the same - grey to the core. Screw it I say, I'm tired of this and just try my best to enjoy a steak I didn't order so I can pay my bill and leave. On a side note, the table behind me ordered a few gin martinis. Apparently this restaurant did not have a bartender that night, so the people at the table had to explain to the manager of the place how to make a martini, including that martinis do not have ice in them. So in the end: I got stung by a wasp; Didn't get the soup I wanted; Didn't get the Pinot noir I wanted; and after two tries Didn't get the steak I wanted. What we have here is a steakhouse that runs out of its own soup, its own wine, doesnt have a bartender on Fridays, and doesnt know medium rare from medium well. read more

Went here for lunch. Contrary to what yelp says they close at 4 on Sunday's. One had the siracha burger and onion rings, and it was DELICIOUS. The fish and chips were to die for. The fish was juicy and the chips were plentiful. The Cobb salad had very generous portions and was very filling. The only complaint was that Reuben sandwich barely had enough corned beef to cover a piece of bread, and what was on it was so tough I couldn't bite through it. Got it with the sweet potato fries and they were delicious. The thousand island dressing was a bit off, but if you just add a little more ketchup to it then it tastes wonderful. read more

I came out to see my friends play a jazz show and I was pleasantly surprised with this place. The wait staff was congenial, attentive and fun! I ordered the calamari as an appetizer and it was executed perfectly. Usually calamari is a little chewy but they cut little strips from a calamari steak and it's super tender. I ordered the meatballs stuffed with mozzarella as a main dish. The meatballs were juicy and flavorful and the linguini was cooked al dente. The sauce didn't slide off the pasta and it tasted fresh and tart. My wife ordered the 8oz prime rib with a baked potato and salad and she was not disappointed. The steak was cooked to her specification (medium rare) and was very well seasoned. It is too bad this place is located way out at the Moses point resort, a bit of a drive for some people. read more

I have intermittently come out here to eat since it is close to where I live. It seems as though they have had there ups and downs. The last three times I have been here (within the last 6 weeks) it has been excellent. The service has been very good, it is always very clean, the view is great and most importantly the food has been outstanding! Between the sandwiches and burgers for lunch or the steaks and fish for dinner it has taken me by surprise. If you want an appetizer the steamer clams or the calamari will hit the spot. They have a newer chef and that has apparently been the biggest difference. People in Moses Lake need to give this place another shot if you haven't been in a while, I highly recommend it. read more

They cannot handle big groups of people, because they just can't deliver on what they are promising. Keep in mind, each person is paying roughly $35. We were a group of 14. The dinner came quite late (over an hour), the plates were cold, some of the little details (such as butter) were missing, the waitress was overwhelmed, and unfortunately I got a little sick afterwards. I am not from Moses Lake. I only went because I was part of a large group which had already decided on this restaurant. As the evening wore on, the majority of our group was displeased with the food and service. None of us will go back there if we can help it! As a matter of fact, we would have been better served getting pizza somewhere else. At least it would have been hot. I did sent an email to the manager (business card at cashier on the way out)....there was never any reply. I specifically said I was not interested in getting any money back. I just wanted them the acknowledge that there were multiple issues they need to address. No response yet, and I sent this email in February. read more

This place is terrible. The food is inconsistant and the service is awful. Even after coming in with a large party and tipping 20% each on like 6 seperate checks, we got bad service the next time, even though the waitress recognized us. This place does not value its patrons. The food can be decent, but it is like spinning a really overpriced roulette wheel. Steaks are often smaller than advertised. I am from Portland, OR and I am visiting my family in Moses Lake. My dad wanted to treat me to a nice dinner and we decided to go to Moses Pointe. We chose this restaurant because I remembered having amazing food and service years ago. We unfortunately had the complete opposite. The two female servers that were there needed to be working at Dennys not this place. When we walked in the door one older female said, "seat yourself, just don't sit at the two eight tops cause those are reserved." What??? Okay, then my mom asks the other server for some menus and she replies, "Well, you seated yourselves." AND?? What does that mean??? We were told to by your cohort, my mom replied. When she comes to take our order she tells us that she's so busy, she's actually a nursing student and only works there for fun. Talk about a nice dinning experience...NOT!!!! No offense, but I come from the mecca of good food and service and I know Moses Lake is far from being as good as Portland, but come on. I truly would have been fine if we were eating at Dennys, but we weren't. So much for wanting a nice evening out. So, I order a side salad w/ my meal and asked for the dressing on the side. She brings me my salad and says, and I quote, "I know you asked for dressing on the side but they mixed dressing in it already, so here you go." I should have told her to shove it at this point, but decided to try it. It was gooped up w/ so much dressing I couldn't eat it. The meal was brought out immediately after being served the salad and I handed her the salad indicating I couldn't finish it because of all the dressing. The rest of the evening wasn't any better. They were yelling at each other from across the restaurant. They kept telling others the same thing they told us. They were just so busy and blah, blah, blah. I hope the manager sees this. I am so disappointed and I'm sure others that were there this evening agree..Service HORRIBLE, food DISAPPOINTING. I will never go back there and I can't believe dad wasted his money there tonight. read more

We had a work event in Moses Lake and decided to have dinner at Moses Pointe on a Wednesday evening. We called 2 weeks in advance for a reservation for 15 people, in hopes that they would be prepared for a crowd. There was no one in the restaurant the entire evening we were there, the waitress was incredibly overwhelmed by our table (the only table she was serving), some of the orders were incorrect. We had one person with food allergies (a list of allergens was provided to the waitress) so we asked if the chef could just make fish with olive oil and herbs/lemon and steamed veggies - what was delivered to the table was overcooked salmon with no seasoning or olive oil and some overdone veggies. There were a few average meals at the table but overall no one was impressed. It's quite sad if this is the best in Moses Lake. Our company will be making trips to Moses Lake once a month for business, we will have to find another restaurant. read more

My husband and I go to the Pointe at least a couple times a month as we live closely. We always have a great experience. The staff are great and very attentive. The food is wonderful and the chef very accomodating when asked to make a few tweaks on the order. I would like to see the menu expanded so there are a few more options. read more
