Wow!!! All of the good food in Washington State is in Moses Lake. Washington has not won a John Beard since 2019. Nor is the state covered under the famous and most respected Michelin's Guide system. Face it, this state is not known for its food. Moses Lake is the anomaly to all this. Micheal's by the Lake is the surprisingly upstart. This is a much needed relief. The oasis in this culinary desert. We came as a large group to celebrate my in-law's birthday. They sat us down in a privet dinning room in the back. Most places you would think we would of been ignored and forgotten by the staff. At Michael's by the Lake we pretty much had our own wait staff. They were very friendly and attentive. The food was exquisite! Everything was done perfectly. Especially the mozzarella sticks. All in all, my family have nothing bad to say. Great location right on the lake with lots of great view seating. We were greated immediately and seated within minutes, for lunch at noon on a Sunday. She had the halibut fish and chips. Three huge pieces of lightly breaded and perfectly fried halibut with crispy fries. He had the turkey club. Super sized sandwich on hearty toasted whole grain wheat. Bar service was experienced and prompt. Wait staff was very friendly and attentive during our entire visit. The men's room was filthy. I have seen cleaner bathrooms at no name truck stops on the interstate highway. Is this where the restraint staff is expected to wash up before preparing all of our meals?! Finally had all the stars line up to visit Michael's, and it was a lovely Saturday afternoon lunch. It's a beautiful place, inside and out, with a nice patio set up for the best lake views. The food was wonderful! All their burgers are 1/2lb Wagu-style, and Hubby loved his. And you can't go wrong with their Prime Rib Dip that I had, because it's actually prime rib that did not sell out when they serve it on the weekends. The restaurant is lovely & relaxing with a beautiful view of the lake. Our waitress, Erika was wonderful. Greeted us immediately and took our drink order. The food presentation was pleasant however, there was a slight problem with part of my dinner-the chicken parmesan. I informed her of it and she offered to replace my meal. Since I was hungry and the major portion was still delicious, I decided not to have my meal replaced. She appreciated my informing her of the issue & let the kitchen know of the problem. Came here while otw back to Seattle from Spokane as we heard good things about this place with a view on the patio overlooking the take. Came on a Sunday afternoon 2:30pm and they say the patio is closed. We were seated for about 15minutes before the server came and give us water and take our order. Food took another 15minutes or so to serve even on a slow afternoon. Food tasted mediocre at best unfortunately. My cod was pretty dry and my fries were overfried. Mushroom ravioli tasted decent but the artichoke dip was a not great at all. There's no crab meat in the dip and hardly any artichoke taste. The server didn't come by to fill our water. Didn't come by our table at all but once but more like stopping by barely stopped while heading to other table. Not great, but not the worst either. So I only had dessert here but I will definitely have to come back for the food! This restaurant is really welcoming and has a beautiful view of Moses Lake. The service was outstanding and everyone was so welcoming. I ordered the cookie with vanilla ice cream. My friend and I went there for dinner yesterday. The hostess that sat us was so rude. She took us to an area that didn't have a view. We asked if we could sit where we could have a view of the water. She said no, it's dirty. And then left. A gentleman at another table with his family came over and said that he was going to complain because he had the same horrible service from her. We were about to leave when our server came to the table. We explained why we had planned on leaving and she was really nice and asked us if we would reconsider and stay. We did. She cleaned off the other table and allowed us to move. She was wonderful. The food was wonderful. Management comped us a free dessert and I noticed they did that for the gentleman and his family as well. I'm surprised that they allow someone that was so rude to work there. The sauce complimented the ravioli very nicely. The steak on the other hand. I wasn't too impressed. The steak, although looked amazing and seasoned very nicely was a little tough. We tried the potstickers which were delicious! I loved the seasoning on them and the dipping sauce was yummy! My husband got the teriyaki bowl and I got the chicken lettuce wraps. I love Asian food, we are from So Cal so we have authentic Asian food a lot! That's why I am only giving it 4 stars. The presentation was beautiful, love the restaurant and staff. But the entrees we ordered were very sweet, tasted like a syrupy sweet and not what a traditional teriyaki sauce or ginger sauce would be like. They were good but a lot of liquid in the bowl. 3) Had the mushroom ravioli and the sauce was a little sweet, fresh mushrooms not used so wasn't up to my standards. 4) The fried zucchini was sliced into quarter strips and because they were so thick the zucchini was crunchy. We stopped by this restaurant on our way through town. We were eight hours into a twelve hour road trip and needed some lunch. They don't take reservations and the parking lot was super full so I was worried about getting a table but there was tons of room inside. We ended up sitting in the bar section, but there's also a section of the restaurant off the back that is glassed in and looks out at the water and then tons of seating in the main restaurant. Service was a little slow but I think that's because there weren't a ton of employees working and the poor bartender was having to serve tables outside as well as at the bar. We ordered the Gorgonzola truffle fries, a side salad, bang bang shrimp and seafood pasta as well as drinks. Their drink/wine menu is wonderful and everything we ordered was delicious. The food was amazing. The pasta was a little expensive but it had a decent amount of seafood and was delicious as well.
