Moved into the area about 7 months ago and have been a loyal mulligans customer since day 1 of being in Clarksville. I still don't understand why multiple ids are needed at check out if in the state of Tennesee does not require you to be 21 to simply accompany someone into a liquor store. Tonight I had not touched anything in the store, simply accompanied my gf in the store and they refused to sell to us because I had left my id at home, then stating that it is company policy to check all ids for everyone who's in the store who touches the alcohol, I stated that I didn't carry anything and he said that its company policy he has to see both ids... Another visit to Tennessee and another visit to Mulligan's. Made a visit to a few distilleries this visit and was pleasantly surprised Mulligan's carried a full range of Woodford products. The "blue label" malt whiskey has earned a place at my home bar. Try it and fall in love all over again. read more

Great little liquor store in Clarksville. Went in looking for OVZ (Zinfandel from Lodi, CA), but they don't carry it, but did find one of my favorite vintners Michael David Earthquake Zin. I also found Santo Fina celebrity Tequila made by Guy Fierri and Sammy Hagar. It's supposedly an additive free tequila (no fake flavor additives) I've been wanting to try it out. It's a little higher priced here than what I've been finding online, but I bout it anyway (this is a brick and mortar after all so what do you expect? Great place to check out. Recommendation from a friend to visit this store. I'm not an alcohol connoisseur but this store had everything. Apparently I looked a little days and confused because there was a gentleman who asked me if I needed help. I was looking around for something special for the holiday to give my husband. He nailed it. I wanted to get some Brandy and Port and he pointed me in the right direction with in my price range. I was interested also in the Moonshine and he gave me a couple of reasons of what to buy and why and I ended up picking up the strawberry flavored moonshine and I can't wait to try it. Although reading the other reviewer's regarding the cashiers, I would agree the cashiers are a little to be desired the customer service checking out is a bit prickly. read more

Sad to have to leave this review. This has been my go-to liquor store for 8 years. I've spent a small fortune here. Then recently they decided they were going to upcharge for using credit/debit cards. Literally two prices on the shelf tags. Uh uh, no. Retail has spent most of my life pushing us towards using plastic and to me, it's a cost of doing business. This is the third business in town I've stop patronizing. I shop regularly here for bourbon and whiskey. The inventory here is wide, deep, and varied. Their employees are knowledgeable about what they have, the availability, and sometimes future availability. Buffalo Trace products do not last here at all, but where do they?? Their wine list is great as well in their temp controlled room. Like cigars? They have these as well, and not a bad selection, I might add. If this store weren't on the other side of town, I'd probably be here more often. read more

I really love the people who work here. I'm a wine drinker and the wine i get, prices here are a little more expensive than other local places, but the store is clean, well organized, the lines move quickly and I've not met one employee there who isn't top notch. Super friendly and they have great suggestions whenever I'm in the occasional mood to try something other than wine. read more

This spot gets 2 thumbs up from me after seeing that they have Anchorage Brewing Co beers here. Finding anything Alaskan seems to be rare down south. So spotting the couple that they had brought some comfort to this homesick heart. Mulligan's has a large range of wines from Italian, German, and Spanish, to state side made. The beer selection is decent with imported beers, but also local. While the selection is large, there's no pick six option available, which is a bummer. I haven't checked the liquor selection, but I'm sure they have most of what you could want and more. The prices are a little more expensive than most places. You could find some of the same wines and beers at Kroger, Publix, or the Class Six for a few dollars cheaper. Unless you know they have something that nobody else does, or you're on that side of town, it might not be worth it to stop in. The customer service was good, they asked frequently if I needed help, and even looked up a few beers to see if they had any in store, but ended not having them. It would be a 5 Star if the prices were more competitive, but with them being a few dollars more expensive than everywhere else, it's more of a last resort shopping spot for me. read more

I use to go here all the time for our liquor needs but not anymore. My wife and I went in to get some stuff a Mexican dinner we were having this evening and we needed tequila for margaritas. We got what we needed went to the counter and the young lady the blonde cashier said she needed both our id's I gave her mine and she waited for my wifes. My wife had left hers in the car. Never gave us a reason why she needed both we got my id and left our liquor on the counter and walked out. I can see my Id because I was making the purchase but both id's I don't understand and they lost a good customer. In fact two weeks ago my mother in law and wife went in to buy liquor and my mother in law made the purchase a second Id wasn't asked for. OMG! I can't believe that a place like this exists in Clarksville! Their wine selection is huge and impressive. I read that Mulligan's started as a wine shop but expanded their collection once they moved to the new, larger space. I'm not a big wine guy so I didn't stick around the wine section for too long, though and their liquor section was big as well. I figured knowing where I was it would be a lot of Jack Daniel's, Jose Cuervo and *shudder* hypnotiq. Mulligan's didn't disappoint in that respect BUT it made up for it with their large selection of scotches-which was very good and priced on this side of CRAZY! I was a little disappointed that their bourbon collection was limited to just the usual Jim Beam, Maker's Mark etc. UNTIL I saw their shelf stocked with a smaller collection than their scotch but still an excellent bunch of labels. Wow, was I still in middle of nowhere Tennessee? The only thing I was disappointed in was their beer selection-they had some pretty good labels but most of it was stocked with their cheap stuff. DON"T GO HERE (unless you want to be double charged) Was told my card declined, but was actually charged a partial amount PLUS the full amount on my second card. When I called to find out what happened and how to get the money back I was basically told I needed to wait because "the bank had it not them." Awesome selection of wines!!!! Store was kept very clean and organized. Glad to see they had a selection of Sake/Japanese wine! Prices are a little on the expensive side though, more pricey than others. There was only one person working at the front but she helped when I had a question. If you're looking for something more specific you can probably find it here, but if you want beer/wine/liquor more common Kroger/Publix any other grocery store or gas station probably has it for a dollars cheaper. read more

Mulligan's, I hate you. Your prices are high for the area, your customer service is atrocious, and you have a monopoly on the Clarksville booze scene. Many times have I been to Mulligan's, zero times have I been helped. Even when I stop employees and say I need help choosing a wine, I get blown off and walked away from. I would say it's because I'm younger than their typical clientele and I always see those same staffers scurrying over to affluent-looking retirees, but the other yelp reviews on this page suggest it's just me. I make a point of getting my libations at Fort Campbell or in Franklin/Nashville depending on whether I'm working that day, but I know I'll be back here and that annoys me. read more

Walked in around 2:45pm on June 26, 2015. Wasn't really busy but no one came to greet me or see if I needed help, which I could've used the help but no big deal. I was pretty impressed with the huge selection of wine, beer and liquor. I was there looking for wine (which I have no clue about, hence why a little bit of help would've been nice) but I found a few things I was looking for. Mulligans seems a bit pricey, especially in comparison to the liquor store at Ft Campbell and then when you tack on that TN sales tax....yikes! Overall, nice store and great selection. Just don't think I'll return unless I can't find something very specific that I can't find else where. read more

Don't get me wrong, I love their selection and wide range of options they offer at mulligan's. However, the older woman who works by herself at times seems racist. The first time I experienced it, I brushed it off. The next day I came in with my boyfriend and he noticed it also. He was nicer to her, I was trying to ask her a question about one of the bottles of liquor I was looking at and no ok, I'll look she just looked it up and told me the price. She always seems more hostile towards me, rather when she's ringing up another customer. My boyfriend and I have probably spent over 1k here to stock up our at-home bar. This isn't the first time this has happened in Clarksville. The liquor store by Dairy Queen's has acted this way also. Kind of a bummer. read more

A quick update--Mulligan's moved into a new building just up the street. The new digs are beautiful. Where before the interior was typical of most liquor stores (though way less creepy than Ebenezer's) with awesome service, now it looks and feels like a winery (still with awesome service) not unlike places I've been to around Napa/Sonoma. The wine selection is varied and plentiful. Though they didn't have the bottle I wanted, I still left with enough to fill our wine rack. (gotta stock up when you can't buy on Sundays or in a dang grocery store. Tennessee, jeez. :/ ) read more

Well finally found out that they're super over priced! I've been buy this cheap bottle of wine here for a while, finally stopped in another store called "Crockers" off Dover Rd. They have the same $16.99 bottle of wine at Mulligans selling for $11.99 at Crockers. Not only was the wine SO much cheaper, but the vodka was as well. Crockers pretty much has the same choices Mulligans has, but its a little out of my way from home. Won't mind driving an extra 5-10 minutes to save $$$$$ read more

I base this 4 star rating on the fact that this building is a central location for all things wet and intoxicating. Imagine a Mecca in the Clarksville area for AA members. My main areas of investigation in this land of magic potions were wine, vodka, and tequila. They had a fine selection of wines where you can find just about anything to suit your taste no matter if you prefer a Malbec from Argentinian local or a Chianti from Italy. The pricing was slightly high, but I have been spoiled by California's AWESOME selection of 5 dollar wine. There is an outstanding selection of vodka. I recommend the Viking Fjord Vodka, which has a crisp taste I have come to love with a clean not overly strong finish derived from delicious potatoes. Excellent tequila selection as well. I recommend the Cabo Wabo which I find to be far superior to the ever popular Patron. read more

If you're looking to grab some Jack and a 6 pack of beer then this is a great place but unfortunately their price gouging on good Bourbon and Scotch means I won't be returning. For instance, they have my favorite scotch Lagavulin marked up to 150 dollars when every other store has it for 90. They're even selling the usually more expensive 12 year Cask Strength for 125 which makes no sense because every scotch drinker knows the age on Lagavulin means little because it's Cask strength so therefor more expensive in every market. I don't know if this pricing is intentional but it's highly erratic because some things will be priced normally. It's sad that I have to drive to Nashville to pick up a 90 dollar bottle of Lagavulin 16 year because this place would probably be a regular stop for me otherwise. read more

Really good prices, the place is always clean and smells nice. Staff is always friendly. Have never had an issue at all. We have been going to mulligans about once a month for the last few years and will continue to go because of the customer service and prices. Just wish they had bud light limerita's so I wouldn't have to make an addition trip elsewhere. read more

I have been to this liquor store many times, both in its older and new location. They have a decent liquor collection but a TERRIBLE beer selection. I would expect a little more from a "premium" liquor store. The staff, in my experience, basically ignore you. Sometimes it's nice to get a recommendation from an "expert" but I haven't found that to be an option here. I asked about a premium (very well known) bourbon and the staff had never heard of it!!!! I find that a little surprising considering that it is located about 2 hours from the distillery. All in all they have what your looking for just don't expect the staff to help you find it. read more

Very upset! I bought a gift card for $25 dollars at Christmas for a dear friend. He tried to use it yesterday (we were with him) and the cashier said the gift card could not be used because they had a system crash and printed a list of the cards they sold and the number on the back of ours didnt match their list and to see a manager today. So we came in and the manager checked their list again and was basically like, too bad!!! I said that $25 dollars was taken from me and put into the register in December and that I want it back or something. She told me she wasn't gonna argue and she did not care. Then kept walking away. I told her customer money was taken from ME for zero goods or services and again she said she didnt care and didnt have to listen to me. So, my money is GONE. For all I know the guy that rang up the gift card didn't scan it to activate it to enter the system. That's why they can't find any record of it. He probably pocketed the money afterwards and the manager doesn't care. Her demeanor altogether is cold, rude, and arrogant. NEVER walking into that building again. read more

A horrible place to shop. I purchased a bottle and was charged $6 more than it was marked. The cashier said he couldn't do anything, so whenever I called the manager she was rude and hung up on me. I called the bbb and filed a complaint, Rather than accept responsibility, the manafer accused me of trying to scam them. Tell everyone you know to stay away from these crooks.
