I had an outstanding experience at Mullinax Ford of West Palm Beach while helping my daughter buy her first car. Anyone who lives in South Florida knows how tough it is to find a reasonably priced used car -- the markups are insane and most dealers list cars way above Kelly Blue Book. After checking with about 15 dealerships and barely getting a straight answer (only one even sent me an "out the door" price, and that took days), I found Mullinax Ford late one night while searching for dealerships with no fees. Right away, their pricing caught my eye because it was actually fair -- right in line with Kelly Blue Book. No games. No surprises. And when my daughter reached out, our salesperson, Dave McKenzie, responded immediately and was the first person in this whole process who seemed genuinely transparent. From the moment we arrived, Dave made the experience relaxed and low pressure. My daughter wanted her name on the paperwork since this was her first car, and the team immediately recognized that. In fact, they pretty much pushed me off to the sidelines (in a good way!) so she could have the full experience and feel confident doing it on her own. As a dad, that meant a lot. Charlie Munoz in finance was great as well -- knowledgeable and friendly. My only small suggestion for him would be to remember that some of us come in cautious because of past experiences with other dealerships. Once I realized Mullinax really wasn't going to slip in any hidden fees or shady add-ons, I honestly wished I had asked more questions. But even so, the financing was straightforward, fair, and far better than anything we'd been offered elsewhere. And then, to top it all off, while we were doing paperwork, a gentleman started chatting with us about the car my daughter picked. We talked for a good 10 minutes -- about cars, weddings, life -- before I realized he was Scott Nicolas, a partner in the Mullinax Ford Group (and a former NFL player!). There was no ego, no sales pitch -- just a warm, genuine conversation that felt like chatting with an old friend. It made the experience even more memorable for my daughter. In a market full of overpriced cars and high-pressure tactics, Mullinax Ford was a breath of fresh air. Fair prices, no hidden fees, honest people, and a team that truly cares about making the experience a good one -- especially for a first-time buyer. I originally contacted this dealership on May 18th about a Bronco through their website. My website request was being sent to spam and would not go through (From both from my PC and my Cell), so I emailed the general sales manager Bren Nicolas directly, letting him know of the issue. He emailed me back and indicated there was some kind of glitch in their system, so we started corresponding via email. After 3 emails back and forth on pricing for a specific Bronco, I thanked him for letting me know his bottom line (Which was very fair) and asked him how we could proceed (Emails chain below). I never received a response to my Tuesday email asking how to proceed. I followed up the next day and never received a response to Wednesday's follow up email. I then sent an additional email on Thursday's asking why no response. I don't know why he wouldn't have gotten my emails since I responded to his previous email, so I called the dealership Thursday at 5:27 pm and left a message for him still no response. Bren new I had another pending deal, and strung me along for 4 days with absolutely no response to any of my requests. I've purchased 40+ cars over the years and have run into this level of incompetence from salespeople, but never from a "General Sales Manager". The only logic I can ascertain for ghosting a customer I can think of, is this individual quoted pricing he couldn't deliver on, the classic car salesman bait and switch. The level of indifference and disrespect is the reason why most people despise dealers. Just another impudent "Car Salesman" with zero character. They had my car there all day, with zero communication until I called to find out what was going on. At 4pm they were just then looking at my car. If I could leave a zero star review I would. This business is downright corrupt and full of liars. I purchased a 2023 Ford Lightning brand new from them last year. At the time, they told me multiple times that they could take the $7500 credit out of the price for this vehicle. I opted instead to claim the credit myself when filing taxes because I wasn't sure I'd be under the income limit. When I went to file, the credit was rejected due to the truck being over the MSRP limit. Never once during the entire sales process did the sales rep or sales manager mention that about this vehicle. I would've never purchased it in the first place if I knew the MSRP limit existed. They told me MULTIPLE TIMES it QUALIFIED. Mullinax Ford - Our first family ride - Car Dealers Near Me - Lake Park, Florida

21 June 2025: I had to trade in my old Toyota FJ Cruiser because I needed a vehicle with an automatic transmission due to knee damage from my military service and post-surgery pain. Having to press a clutch was too painful. I hesitantly traded it for a 3rd Gen Tacoma with an automatic transmission. Kept if for 1.5 years and hated it. I wanted another FJ Cruiser. I stumble across Mullinax Fords web site and see this beautiful green FJ at their West Palm Beach location. I had been looking at FJ's for a month, and this one checked all my boxes. Low miles, looked great and well maintained, etc.... I drove from Tampa to West Palm to test drive it and it ran great! I was totally stoked (that feeling you get when you love a vehicle) and I traded in my Tacoma. I drove it home (3.5hrs) and it was great. Felt good, just like my old one except this one was an automatic transmission. I parked in my driveway and it rained that afternoon. Didn't think anything of it. Went to get something out of my it and noticed the passenger side floor mat was wet. I then lifted the floor mat and there was a puddle of water. I notified the salesman that sold me the vehicle and asked if he could call the previous owner to see if this was an issue. The salesman obliged and the previous owner stated it never did...maybe true, maybe not. I pulled apart the lower kick panel, removed the glove box, and inspected the cabin air filter. Filter was dry. Had a neighbor spray the FJ down as I laid in the FJ observing the lower passenger side are below the kick panel. I had them spray low and work their way up. When they got to the mounts for the roof rack, the water started coming into the cabin. I communicated this with the Mullinax Ford and they said they would talk to the manager. Today I went to remove the roof rack to inspect the mounting areas to find where the water was leaking into the cabin. I put my T-40 bit in there and went to loosen the bolts and the spun freely. They were "just" in the holes, not attached to anything...just sitting in the holes. That being said, there is a bracket under the headliner they are supposed to attach to. I proceeded to remove all the trim covers. Strangely, none of the bolts were "factory" tight. The were all way too easy to loosen. That made me suspicious that someone knew about this issue, started to fix it, then gave up. The first one I removed was the upper trim panel that covers the door latch. I pulled it off; it was full of water and traces of dirt. It had a small metal clip in it as well (the clip that holds the roof rack bracket to the roof). Had to remove the A-Pillar trim, and the rear window trim, grab handles, and various clips to get to the area where the mount is (remember, I'm the consumer). As soon as I lowered the head liner that is above the door latch, I see the bracket that the two bolts are supposed to mount to. It was just wedged between the headliner and the door latch. So now it's all apart and ready to repair. I contacted Mullinax Ford to see if there was anything they could do for me...maybe pay for the parts to repair it, maybe send me to a contract place to have someone do the repairs. Their response was, "Unfortunately since it is a bronze vehicle and you are so far. We won't be able to do anything." They could order the parts I need through a local dealership here, or offer a gift card to cover parts and labor...but no. They can't do anything. I find all this to be strange. It must not have rained a drop in West Palm while they had the vehicle on the lot, and they must not have washed the vehicle. If so, they would have known about the leaking. I suspect the guys that do the vehicle prep probably saw the water, and wiped it up and didn't report it. Had I known this vehicle was leaking, I would have either used it as a negotiation tool, or simply not have wasted my time buying it. P.T. Barnum once said, "There's a fool born every minute." I was that fool for trusting Mullinax Ford. Not their fault it leaks, but they should have made it known, or repaired it. Buyer beware. Update 23 June 2025: Mullinax Ford did contact me by phone and offer to pay for the parts needed to do the repairs. I appreciate them reaching out to me, and this was a step in the right direction. I was ok since I know it requires test drives and I had more questions. After talking to several dealers, we ended up at Mullinax as they were the ones that obviously wanted to make a deal. Went back and forth with Brittany via text and on the phone, and she was AMAZING. One of the best sales representatives that I've ever dealt with. Not rushed, very friendly, knowledgeable, responsive, and just made the whole process very easy. Went in and did a couple of test drives, and got numbers from the sales manager. He gave us VERY good, bottom line numbers, no BS, and made everything super simple. There were no stupid games or the typical back and forth where they test you with ridiculous numbers to see if they can rip you off. I really appreciated this. Did I mention he was very nice just like Brittany and everyone else there? So in the end, I had to bring back my significant other the next day to test drive the vehicles, and she decided that she wanted to go another direction, as in there's another vehicle that she likes more. Currently dealing with my Fusions backup camera intermittently working, i brought it to my regular mechanic and he told me to bring it to ford and have them update the software- i went to my "service tech" Josh, who never even looked up from his desk when i explained the problem, i told him I'd like the software update and without looking up he responds "yeah it's probably not the software it's guna be the hardware"...wow. Wish I'd read the Service Department reviews before purchasing a new Mustang Mach-e Premium AWD from them. Take those reviews and this one seriously. My car "bricked" on me at 45 mph, Tuesday, June 10, 2025 at around 10:00 a.m. (on my way to a doctor's appointment). It's our only vehicle. As I was pulling out of my community and getting up to speed, a red alert popped into the instrument cluster advising me the electric motors had just shut off! After 20 minutes of being stuck in the dead car, still in Drive, I was able (somehow) to dial it out of Drive and into Park, start it up and get going. Now, about this place of business. Calling, leaving progressively more urgent messages, texting and chatting with this dealership's bots since then got no response from a human being; nada until an hour or so ago (today, Thursday, June 12). Was told If I'm unwilling to risk driving it to their dealership (20 miles further away than my previous Ford dealership's terrible "Service" Dept., and the reason I left after nearly 20 years of Al Packer Ford West's disregard (because it was only 5 miles away). First human being to respond to what I consider an urgent product failure, asked for all the info I'd previously and repeatedly included in every voicemail, text and chat. She then advised that if I'm unwilling to drive it there, "Mobile Service" can't come out and just check the state of charge on the car's 12 volt battery for a "couple weeks;" and if I get it towed in (which can be done asap), the dealer doesn't typically exercise it's discretion to provide a Loaner (which, she told me, only is available with an "extended warranty." I've only had the car since June 28, 2024. It has only 5,600 miles on it. I got it back in my garage, don't trust it's use again, and this dealership expressly does not care. read more

Mullinax ford sold me a Toyota Tacoma 2007 that should have been on auction not on their lot. They lied about the oil leak saying it just happens with older trucks yes of course makes sense but I took it to my mechanic and he said there's a crack in the pan that they tried to cover up with paint. The biggest part was that the trucks chassis / baby was completely rusted. You could stick your fist in the hole near the Catyltic converter. They also tried to hide that by coating it all in paint. My husband and I purchased our very first brand-new F-250 in January 2025. Trusting Mullinax Ford of West Palm Beach, we did not test-drive the truck (which we've never done before). I mean, it's a brand-new truck, right? Nothing should be wrong. As we drove the truck home, we noticed a weird noise coming from the AC, but we didn't think much of it (maybe they forgot a piece of plastic that was flapping around). So, we continued our hour-and-a-half drive home. The weather hasn't been too terribly hot, so we haven't had to use the AC much, but when we do, it made a terrible, very loud noise--so loud that we couldn't use the Max AC setting. Now that April is here, my husband took the truck to our local Ford dealership, and they discovered a rodent had been chewing on the cabin filter for a while. We asked Mullinax what to do, and they suggested we contact our automobile insurance and that they should cover it. So, I called our insurance, but they told us we have to meet our $1,000 deductible first. I sent a picture of the cabin filter to Mullinax, and their response was, "Yes, unfortunately, I was told it would be less expensive to go through insurance than service. Our techs charge $225/hour." Mullinax also said that this was very common. So, my question is if it is common why not do a full inspection before the truck leaves to dealership. Now, we just want a full inspection of the truck at no cost to us to ensure the rodent has not caused any further damage anywhere else. We do not feel this request is too much to ask for, especially for the money we are paying for this truck. read more

If I could put 0 I would. Was shopping for a car for a little bit and they gave me what I thought was a good deal. I put a 500 dollar hold on a Tesla Model 3 from another dealership on a Saturday and was told it would be here on the following Tuesday. Salesman (Dave M) told me to get insurance ready and ensure everything was ready to go. Get a call Tuesday at 4 o'clock PM that the car has something small wrong with a door latch, but should be done quick and delivered Wednesday. Fast forward to Friday and I had to be the one to reach out for any updates through the week, and the most recent one is that the car has to be sent back to Tesla to be repaired, and to pick another one they have at another lot. Of course, all of the other models are more money, or I will be charged a non - refundable shipping fee if its at the Mobile, AL location. Received a call from Skylar and there was no effort to make this right or get a deal done from the staff in any way to make this less of a pain. I ran my credit and applied for a loan for a car that was in no shape to be sold and was given options that cost ME more money for something that was completely out of my hands. Customer service not good at all. 110 point inspection is advertised but if this were true I would have known before running my credit this car had issues. read more

June 5th 2023 my 2019 F250 supper duty truck would not start. I had it towed to Mullinax for WPB to have it repaired under warranty. I was informed Monday the 12th 2023 that a new fuel pump was installed. (this is the third fuel pump, two were installed at a different dealership) The truck started once then would not start again. Tuesday the 13TH 2023 I was informed that the technician caught my truck on FIRE. I went to the dealer ship that day to see the damage. It was extensive. I do not want to have it repaired because of the damage.I was told that I would be taken care of. I just want my truck replace for the same truck. Never take your car there for service! We have bought 5 cars from Mullinex Ford on Northlake, sales department are great. Service department and specifically the service manager is horrible. First, we have to wait for weeks or months for service on a transmission recall part that makes your car UNUSABLE, car can't drive. When they finally take your car in they keep it for weeks before they start to work on it!! Our service advisor (whom is no longer there) NEVER returned a single call I made inquiring. Note- I waited 1 week before I even called. While my son's car was in, I asked for an oil change and tire rotation. Rotation was never done and we didn't notice until we received the final invoice. I called and personally left the service manager a message and asked for a call back AND when they called for a review I also asked that the manager call me. TWO months later and still no call. Searched all over my entire home state of North Carolina and could not find a Maverick Hybrid. Literally called every dealer in the state. Was headed to Florida to visit family so called every dealer along 95 on the way down. Found one in Weston and West Palm and the Weston one sold before we got there. Called Curtis at Mullinax West Palm and he got us all set up for the transaction via text and connected me to financing which offered a deal better than my credit union. Held the truck for me for the day until I could drive there. Did not take too long to do all the paperwork and run through the vehicle. Zero pressure for additional sales from Curtis or the guy who helped us out in financing. Truck was exactly as described and exact price I expected. Would definitely buy from this dealer again if we needed to buy out of state again. They have "no dealer fees" but they do charge some market adjustments on extremely hard to find vehicles (like the hybrid Maverick which had a $3k extra cost). Was willing to pay it though to not have to wait over a year to order one. The market adjustments in my home state are $5k. Truck is still a really great deal even with the adjustment. While the sales side was a breeze when I purchased my 2021 Super Duty, the whole situation changed on my last service. I took it in for a check engine light only to be told it was a fuel sensor. While it was there they were to check the misaligned tailgate and the protruding front left fender. 16 days later I was told my truck was ready. I hurried over only to find my Service Advisor left for the day. They delivered my vehicle with only the fuel sensor addressed (in addition to a bad fuel line they found during the process). The other two items were listed as "no work performed". When I inquired about it to two of the other Service Advisors still there, they said, "what do you want from me, I'm not your Service Advisor". I suggest taking Service out of their titles. When I asked to see a manager, the one SA that was indifferent offers up that he's a Manager. Needless to say, nothing accomplished. Repeated calls and messages left for the Service Manager went unanswered. A few days later I get a call from the original advisor telling me to bring it in and he would have the body shop look at it. He further said, "if they don't call you, I will." Four days go by and no call, I called him, after getting yet another unreturned call from the Service Manager. He tells me, my truck is ready. He further added that, "they did the best they could but you know these trucks where the body is mounted directly to the frame, they take quite a beating,"really? Never have I ever given a bad review online but after horrific service from Mullinax Ford in Lake Park for my Ford Transit Connect I must warn future buyers to STAY FAR AWAY FROM MULLINAX LAKE PARK. DO NOT BUY A CAR FROM MULLINAX. They do NOT honor their warranties. And COVID is not an excuse for everything! I purchased my THIRD FORD a Ford Transit Connect from Mullinax Ford. I thought my warranty was 36000 miles or 3 years whichever came first. My car had 9500 miles on it when my battery died in November 2020 at only 1.5 years old. Called Mullinax service and they said they could not fix it until after Xmas!! So I called AAA and they came over in 10 minutes and said I needed a new battery. I called Ford to make sure they would reimburse they said yes just get us the receipts. Got new battery emailed receipts. 3 months later no reimbursement check and battery dead again, called AAA, they said and PROVED it was not the battery rather something in the car causing the battery to leak. Went to Mullinax they kept my car for a MONTH! They have no loaners. I had to rent a small car for which they said they would get me reimbursement. My total cost at this point was $1797!! Mullinax said they had to submit paperwork to Ford in Michigan for reimbursement. I got a check for $873 which was partial reimbursement for the car rental and $0 ZERO for the battery. Apparently here are Fords rules: -They do not pay for batteries if the battery dies during normal business hours unless you go to a Ford dealer. Mullinax never told me that. My battery died at 11 am. Mullinax told me to keep my receipts and submit. If my battery died after business hours MAYBE they would have paid for it, who knows. -Ford only pays $35-$49 per day for a car rental reimbursement FROM THE START DATE OF WHEN THEY BEGIN THE REPAIR!! Since my car rental cost me $1455 and they only reimbursed me $873 it means MY CAR SAT ON THEIR LOT FOR TWO WEEKS or MORE doing nothing. So now I am out of pocket $982 for this entire mess. ALMOST A THOUSAND DOLLARS WHILE UNDER WARRANTY! I called FORD in Michigan. First they said they would try to get Mullinax to reimburse me more, EITHER FOR THE BATTERY or the rest of the RENTAL but not both!! Made no sense to me. MULLINAX refused. So then Ford in Michigan called and left this message. "To keep my battery receipts because right now they do not have a program to reimburse me but maybe in the future they would" WHAT? In the future I will NOT be under warranty... no chance they will reimburse me then if they do not reimburse me now. Do NOT purchase a car from Mullinax. Sad since they lose the trade in sale of my current FORD and the sale of my future FORDS. How STUPID can a dealership be to lose a loyal car customer over $982? read more
