If it was possible to give zero stars, I would. Their coverage is cheap--which is why I went for it. I was in a time of need and the price was great for my situation. Every time I called, I never got clear info about very basic things like 1. My due date 2. the amount due 3. how to reinstate my coverage after my policy expired. Issue #1 - I made an over payment (oops, my fault)... They were kind enough to tell me I had paid for an extra month, but never sent me a refund even though I called several times and asked for one. They--without my permission--decided to apply it to my next month's balance, which messed me up because the next month was when my coverage expired, my bill pay already (automatically) sent the specified amount, and I was planning to switch insurance carriers anyways. I lost 60 bucks... whatever... Issue #2 - RUDE EMPLOYEES who tell me that I "need" to pay the extra $5 to pay my bill so that it clears instantly because they "don't have the time to wait for my check in the mail"... Seriously? LOOOOOL. No. I thought I was the customer??? THANK GOD I never needed to actually file a claim with these people. Issue #3 - They decided to drop my coverage because I supposedly missed my last 2 payments which was INCORRECT... so I sent them proof of payment with corresponding dates and their response: "we never cashed those checks".... apparently they were addressed incorrectly (no one told me and I had no idea for 2 months)... OKAYYY??? An email or phone call would have been nice after the 1st check wasn't cashed. Like no notification, no email, no notice, nothing... only an email after I had already been dropped. Issue #4 - The month my policy expired, I asked them if I needed to do anything if I wanted to reapply for the same coverage? They said "No--your policy will continue automatically"... I asked them not to automatically reinstate me after my last payment, that I wanted to shop around, and that I would consider them for renewal, but I didn't want to be bound to it... I kept getting letters in the mail about renewing my policy so I literally called like 5 times to ensure I wouldn't be automatically renewed. Every time I spoke to someone different (I got names of them all too)... They all were clueless and sure enough, my policy was renewed despite my request. Quoted a rate which was high I felt but I had already joined them, so I accepted. The statement comes in the mail and they doubled my rate without notice. I called the broker, who called them. I was told that I needed to call them directly, so I did. They never answer their calls, and never return messages. So unprofessional. WORST company to do business with. you're better off staying with the big company names. almost no way of avoiding their fees when you try to make a payment. doesnt matter if its online, over the phone or in person they'll constantly tag on an additional fee. that's an additional $48 a year. i know that may not sound like a lot to some people, but it's just a nuisance to have to pay a little extra each month. i had cancelled my insurance and went with a different company and surprisingly AAA gave me a far better quote with the same coverage, and they offer road side assistance. all i was told to do was to send a fax or email stating i wanted to cancel my policy. I would give one star if I could. We had a claim incident, my wife was nearly entirely backed up and another car sped through the parking lot and crashed into her. We tried to explain this, and send pictures showing that the amount of damage would never have happened from simply backing up, and the amount of speed required would mean they had to have been speeding through which is ultimately the bigger issue. I said I would settle with 50/50 but not 100 fault. Now the issue here isn't even that. They didn't contact us for a month. We didn't get to talk to anyone. The whole thing was up in flames. I have 4 kids, what if the car wasn't running? By the time the car is fixed it will have been 2 months! It's unbelievable. I would say report them to the insurance commissioner. They seemed in a hurry to have me signed up with them. I receive my first bill after the $179 activation and registration fees. My first bill was not $95 as promised it was $119.25. I called to try to solve the problem. I been dealing with them for the past 3 days. I keep getting the run-around, every department moves me to another. The changes were made by one of their Agents "Anna". She changed my address after submitting my application because she the system didn't let her when she was entering my information for the application. Probably the worst insurance company I've ever had I've recently decided to cancel with them because my insurance was getting higher and higher every time I renewed I called so I could cancel my policy at the end of the month and not have to renew with them they just straight cancelled my entire policy on the date that I called in there for me having to pay a cancellation fee at the end of the month to which they sent through mail and not discussed on the phone. When I called and spoke to a representative they just said "oh well that's just what you have to pay that's just it, can pay that now" instead of trying to help me or let me talk to a higher supervisor or representative cause I found it to be unfair that I had to pay a fee for canceling early even though I was only cancelling from renewing the following month. I went thru freeway as a quick save my ass move because the previous company i was with didn't ever inform me my insurance coverage lapsed. (a story for another time) the agent i signed up with come to find out is a liar. i asked a lot of specific questions regarding how her company works and if i will be dealing with the same agent. she stated yes i work directly with the insurance company. i even informed her what went wrong w/ the last company. after signing up i didn't receive any information besides my receipt of payment. no ID cards or copy of my policy. Then i get a phone call from freeway talking about i am in collections. I haven't even made it to my first payment yet. then when i contact multi-state for my ID cards and to find out what is going on they explained everything to me and i basically asked for a cancellation form. At first, due to the person i spoke w/ was so sweet, i decided maybe i will give them a try. well after all the harassing calls from freeway, reminder i asked them to take me off their call list, they told me they cant do that. i ended up going thru allstate. allstate is wonderful but they informed me that the policy multi-state sent to the dmv was liability only, i have a lease. anyone who knows that is illegal. i signed up with allstate. fax over a cancellation form to multi-state and even gave them a call. the kind lady said no problem you will not be charged, the policy is already cancelled out. today 2/14 i get a call from multi-state stating in order to close out my account i have to pay $22. umm that is not at all what was stated to me when i called in to ask for the IVR calls to stopped. i had to block their #. I will be reporting them and i will have a lawyer involved. no where in your policy it stated there is a fee to cancel or change from your fuck up. read more

I was in a hit and run on xmas eve, and its been almost three weeks and have spoke to my adjuster 1 time. He based my damages on photos not a mechanic shop, and when he determined the damage he told me to find a shop to make an appointment with and let him no were. That has all been sent to him for over a week now and still no other correspondents have been made. I have called and called and sent a ton of emails to him and his supervisor.
