If you live in Santa Clarita or any other area that has been deemed high fire zone home insurance is near impossible to buy. Here's an update for all future and existing customers of jsg insurance I highly recommend you check your policy premiums I had talked with Jon Gardner about 10 times explaining that my premium for two vehicles at the time was extremely high he had responded with I will try to check your policy and see what I can do after him supposedly looking into the policy he said that would be the lowest a premium of 3700 dollars for 6 months I was shocked explaining in detail to Jon this is outrageous adding another car got my premium to a shocking almost 5000 with one vehicle having state minimum insurance which I never ever had in my over 26 years over vehicle insurance that supposedly saved me around 1000 in a 6 months policy. I started checking with other agencies who told me you are paying way too much they ran the numbers and it came back around 2000 cheaper for a 6 months policy I was like this can't be true the agent had now made me a policy with both vehicles fully covered at 2600 for 6 months let me remind you Jon had given me a policy for 3700 with one vehicle at state minimum I quickly had the other agency get my policy active and gave Jon Gardner a call explaining how frustrating dealing with him has been and how according to the two other agencies I spoke with he was ripping me off for higher commissions this coming from two big insurance agencies when I told Jon what was going on with over charging my policy he responded with other companies have competitive rates I was shocked he even responded like that... as my agent he had a fiduciary duty to look into a customers issue in regards to charging almost double for the policy premium but he never cared and thus I cancelled the policy and business with jsg insurance Here's the twist he had insured me with mercury which I have been with for over 10 years the new agency got me a 2000 dollar less policy with both my cars are full coverage insurance with MERCURY this should explain it all what I realized about Jon he doesn't care about customer service he just wants to get paid the commissions and higher policy premiums lead to higher commissions which I recently learned from the other agencies.... Knowing I was expecting an increase in my homeowners policy, a friend of mine recommended JSG Insurance  services and to speak to Jon Gardner. After contacting and sending him my information to see what I had and to see what he could do for me, it was determined based on the area I lived in which is a fire area, he could not find a company that would insure me. I have had my business insurance with Jon for some time now. I really like the personal service as it is nice to be able to call and speak to one person who knows all about you. We are purchasing a house and for some reason, it did not occur to me to call Jon. I called Geico where our auto policies and umbrella policy was at. This was a big mistake. I don't want this review to be about how Geico dropped the ball, but do want to thank Jon for stepping in at the 11th hour (literally) and provided our homeowners insurance and quote and called our lender direct and had everything the lender needed to close within 2 hours.
