I got a call yesterday from a social worker regarding my mom who's a patient there…read more She was incredibly rude and was asking me how much money my mom has and telling me that the care she would need is 8k a week. It was absurd and unprofessional She was belittling me over finances and being very nosy and telling me basically that I can't afford treatment for my mom and being extremely rude about it. I hope they don't have her call me again, if they do I'll remember her name and complaine directly to the hospital. The reason I haven't is because I didn't catch her name when she called. I'll go after them legally if harassment continues

The formally known as Virginia Mason memorial hospital has had a rough go and rumored to have a…read morereputation for not being good care and poor sanitation practices. But in my stay here in the last four days I have seen the staff and practices heading to overcome the challenges laid before them. Now called multi care memorial hospital I see if the trend continues to hear the patients and take real interest in their patients that they are heading in a good direction. The hospital is seeking to update the facility through remodeling but the old building has limited space. Perhaps funding one day will provide an extra wing to this hospital. I say the staff and nurses and aides treat the worst of the patients with total respect maybe one or two nurses have been misguided or burnt out but those few should not dim the smiles and professionalism of the many. Praying that they know and pride themselves that they know of the ones Who made my stay more comfortable and pleasant i give them the reason for the successes so they can take a bow.

This is referring to their behavioral health suite at kadlec but since they don't seem to exist…read moreonline I will put my warning here for all patience. I am Really disappointed with the discrimination I experienced at kadlec behavioral health. I went in not once but twice to get the help I finally needed. I have ADHD and I wanted to get properly diagnosed and start the proper treatment as my life is heavily affected by this. While I did get diagnosed, I was looked down upon because I smoke. She made me come back in, even tho I was already confirmed twice to have the illness. Mary Habiba Ameh couldn't care less. She looked at me like I was a drug seeker and wanted to put me on antidepressants and anti-anxiety meds. I told her I had already used those in the past and had bad experiences with them. I knew they wouldn't help and I wasn't there for generalized anxiety, I was there for ADHD which she confirmed I had. But no, that was unacceptable. She was EXTREMELY dismissive, EXTREMELY SARCASTIC, and frankly she needs to learn more about the diseases she is "treating" and how it presents in people. I felt like she tried to make me Feel small and it felt horrible. For someone who is a medical professional, she did not seem all that Knowledgeable and honestly was a stark reminder As to why I stopped working with psychiatrists in the first place. Unless you fit the perfect mold as to what she wants a patient to look like, don't even bother. If you have ever tried to help yourself deal with your symptoms, don't tell her or she will probably try to tug you around by a leash.

When I arrived, everyone was so prompt on getting things moving fast for me to ensure I was reassured my baby was okay and that I was okay too since I was feeling like cramping in my right side. My nurse Judy, Lisa, Brenna and another nurse that I hate that I didn't get her name but these gals were so amazing. They truly reassured me constantly despite me feeling so anxious that I was going to be okay. They admitted me for infection which I was not expecting and it turned into a 3 day stay, but despite that, they ensure to keep me hydrated, I felt heard and involved in my care. Dr Wells and Dr Marbett were amazing. I was a little upset about waiting on Dr wells all day to find out if I was staying another night or not especially since I was 3 1/2 hours from home and was eager to get back, but he apologized for the delay and was very kind. He was the on call doctor for the emergency room, mother baby, and labor & delivery so he was super busy all day unfortunately which is no fault to him at all. Some days you can't predict how busy you'll be. Dr wells ended up visiting me at 11pm while I was resting, but he was super kind about waking me up and gave me a reassuring update. The following day, he was very was very prompt on getting to me nice and early to ensure I was still okay and agreement with our plan for me to discharge which I was very eager for. My baby did cause us to have a little scare and contractions were happening prior to my discharge but Dr Peterson reassured me a lot and answered all of my questions so I could start on my trek home. Everyone here was so kind and considerate. I can't rave enough about their Mother/Baby department.
