This is a multi ethnic grocery store that largely caters to Chinese with a huge variety of grocery items. While the variety is appreciated, over half the items I picked up were past the expiration date (or nearing). Not sure if they purposely purchase these expired items for cheaper, or if they just stock too much and are unable to sell everything and don't clear the expired items off the shelves. Regardless, you definitely need to check the expiration date on everything before purchasing. Not worth the drive across the border to come here alone but if I'm already in Windsor for food, I may stop by to browse and purchase some snacks. read more

0 stars! I went in there with a friend with our kids and strollers because she needed to pick up some groceries. I bought a small container of hot sauce and a sucker for my son at the checkout and paid for my items. well the cashier (woman) proceeded to go through the bottom of my stroller in my personal belongings I asked her "what are you doing? " she says not one word, I ask her to stop she says nothing and still proceeds to go through my personal belongings. I have never been treated like that in my entire life. She made me feel like a criminal and that I was being racially profiled for being white in a predominantly Asian market. I called the Windsor police and even they said it wasn't legal for her to do and it was extremely bizarre that she would even do that. I really just want to put it out there how this store is treating people and how they proceed to do illegal stuff and get away with it. read more

Worst supermarket to shop for food. If you think that you are saving money on groceries at Multifood Supermarket than you are so wrong, their food prices are very high compare with most Canadian supermarkets and their staff always unhappy, specially older guy at the cashier. If you are to slow packing up your products to your cart he will tell you straight up to hurry up and pay first using excuse that next customers are waiting in line. When this happens to us there was a young couple behind us and two other cashier was open with no customers whatsoever. This guy is completely useless and disrespectful to customers. He should be near close to customer service or cashier. That day he actually had the nerves to tell us that he don't CARE if we buy at this store and told us he won't sell to us and get out of the store . Also he cancel the debit card that was in terminal to pay for groceries and took out in the middle when wife was punching pin number we unpacked 1 week of food supply from the cart at the cashier and left. Just reading other reviews I noticed we are not alone, this Multifood Supermarket is famous for being disrespectful and reviews clearly described specific person being racist towards customers. The biggest Asian grocery store in Windsor. In a former Price Chopper. Grand opening was this weekend and it was busy! Most of the merchandise is Chinese - it is owned by a Chinese businessman. The store was quite clean - much like T&T in other major Canadian cities. Merchandise was also arranged like in a regular supermarket. There is fresh product, bakery, meat and seafood sections. Some good prices, other prices not so hot - buyer beware. They take credit cards - Visa and Mastercard. 5 cents for bags. Excellent selection - will be back! read more

This grocer has everything I was looking for. Chicken stock, dashi, sauces, red beans, hot pot items, noodles, the list goes on. The only thing I couldn't find was egg bread. It was a big size, good selection, reasonable prices, good size parking lot. read more

This grocery store has an awesome selection of fresh quality goods. I wish I knew what the majority of the non-fresh items on the shelves on the inside of the many isles of this store since most items do not include English. When I moved back to Windsor from London, I didn't think this city would have an Asian Market, but they do! I was so excited, I had the choice of three different Asian markets in London; I honestly didn't think Windsor would have one, but they do. I like to come here to get my produce, and unique goods you can't find in the international section of a regular grocery store, this one has everything! I went today to pick up a few items that I needed this week. They had a good sale on apples, and they looked good too, I browsed through the produce area and also picked up some baby bok choy. They had a selection of sweet potatoes that are huge! But I'm seriously thinking of coming here for my produce. I also browsed through the aisles, and found some really cool Japanese treats you can make on your own called Poppin' Cookin. I had seen these on the internet and found these once in London, but I hadn't seem them in a while, and at Multifoods, they have a vast selection of these candies you can make. I am so excited this kind of market exists here. I'm looking forward to coming back and taking more time to peruse their selection more and take time to look at what else they have. I like having a vast selection of everything an Asian market should have, vermicelli noodles, noodles in general, asian snacks, pocky, fish, meats, product etc. I'm glad I found this place! read more

Shopping at Multifood has always been a pleasure with one exception. Firstly, the selection of vegetables and fruits is great and the ready-made hot take-out food is reasonable and delicious. There is a wide variety of other ethnic foods and spices as well. The one exception to this experience being a pleasurable one are the unfriendly cashiers. A smile from them would go a long way, or "have a nice day" or "thank you for shopping at Multifood," or just some kind of acknowledgement that they appreciate their customer base.
