Mumu Mansion is a delightful shopping experience. I truly enjoyed getting lost in this eclectic boutique. The whole place is a vibe from the music to the plants and just the way everything is styled together. I'm a sucker for decor and details and I appreciated all the thoughtful touches. Mumu Mansion has so many unique, interesting pieces that you won't find anywhere else. I bought these super cute turquoise heels with gold toes, some lovely sunnies and a fabulous hat that I am obsessed with. Love my purchases and can't wait to go back.

Now, MuMu Mansion is no longer just events and workshops and one-on-one styling; it is now is a brick and mortar on Pico Blvd, representing Mid-City. Everything in the store is curated by Melinda, whether it is pre-loved, new, or on consignment. Think plants, vintage, animal prints, beautifully scented candles, vintage colored stemware, home goods, sneakers, plants, plants plants. If you are a fan of sustainable fashion, vintage everything, making your house and home cozy, finding beauty and fashion in diversity across cultures, LA style, all things "jungalow"- like, bohemian glam and mumus, please come through to check out the shop.

Magical online or in person - but the joy of walking into the store can't be overstated! As a plus size person, it isn't often that you can walk into a curated store and find things in your size. Not so, at Mumu Mansion. Melinda is building a fashionable community rooted in inclusion and I'm so glad I stumbled onto her page! My wallet, however, is less glad.

I've ordered online from this place multiple times, from their live sales on Instagram to sending a dm on a piece I was interested in. Melinda has always been super responsive and has a phenomenal eye for clothes, accessories, homegoods etc. I definitely plan to visit the next time I'm in LA, wish I lived near this shop cause the vibes look amazing. It's definitely worth a stop in if you're local or checking the Instagram account for lives sales and new pieces that come in. I've gotten both clothes and jewelry from here and it's all great quality and good price points. Make sure to check out her mumufied pieces where she jazzes up existing vintage pieces with pieces that reflect her own style, she's also plus size and curvy girl friendly a wide range of sizes and great feedback about how something will fit.

I had followed the incredible Melinda for a handful of years and from her wisdom, huge heart, words of inspiration and her quality of sharing real emotion in all the rawness I wanted to meet her. Her very first week of opening Mumu Mansion I was there dressed up and ready as I knew it would be an event. From that I consider her now a great friend and the treasures I have amassed are nothing short of FABULOUS From jewelry to clothing (new & Vintage ) furniture, housewares ! I have a very distinct style and her pieces stand out in My Home and she keeps an eye out for what I may be looking for . I've never not got something when I've been there. Therefore, I can't go every weekend.

    Summer stack started!

Not exactly a mansion, more like a room in a crappy part of town. Nice staff, though.

This was a great thrift store for specific Western, lo-Cal vibes. With a sprinkle of military garb…read more I thought the holdings were pretty sparse. They did have great, authentic silver and turquoise. Service was unenthusiastic.

Raggedy Threads is my favorite vintage store in L.A. - no contest. Don't let this tiny little store…read more- located in a tiny little corner of Little Tokyo - fool you: It's like a treasure trove of rare finds. I've been on a huge vintage kick lately, so this store has been my go-to source for old tees. My reasons for going vintage are primarily environmental since the carbon footprint and resources needed to make new clothes are substantial - and incredibly wasteful when there's so much awesome used clothing out there. Another reason: Your friends can't copy your style. Most recently, I picked up a few tees from the 1970s and 80s. Being in L.A. they get a lot of local and California vintage shirts with logos, designs, and jokes that only true Californians would get. I couldn't resist buying a Castroville "Giant Artichoke" tee they had over the summer. Personally, I tend to gravitate towards regional finds like these because they bring back such great memories of my youth and of family road trips up and down my home state. They also carry old college (Go Bears!), high school, and everyone's favorite - summer camp tees. Plus, you cannot beat the vintage fit from the 70s/80s. Caveat: Today's "S" is equivalent to an "M" or bigger because people were presumably thinner back then. So do your part for the environment and look effortlessly stylish doing it by shopping used and vintage! And there's no better place in L.A. for this than Raggedy Threads.
