If you're into vintage clothing and I mean vintage-y vintage then this is the place for you. I'm talking an array of sports teams jackets straight from the 70's and 80's, an array of leather coats, baskets of scarves, dresses for days and everything in between. The store has two levels and every nook and cranny is filled. My friend found a nice scarf to complete a birthday look at a very fair price. I myself would need more time than I had to really dig around but I'm sure there were some good finds in there

My FAVORITE thrift shop. I found the cutest jeans here. This place is so fun - they're super organized and I always see something I like here. They are PRICEY though. So make sure you love what you buy because there are NO RETURNS OR EXCHANGES.

Great shop! Lots to choose from! Could have bought everything I had in my hands ... if funds allowed. The employees, two kind women, just made the rest of the shopping experience better. Super friendly! Great looking store, brilliant merchandising, and esthetics on point!

    Boots and bags galore

This place is awesome. Like, mind-blowingly awesome. I've wanted a pair of cowboy boots for the LONGEST time so I finally decided to make the purchase as a gift to myself. With extensive and thorough research (with help from Yelp) for over a year, I had narrowed down a few places. American Rebel, at the time, was the number one listing to pop up. One day after work I took the drive to look for a pair of cowboy boots. Parking on Melrose is possible after 6 PM but because, in my honest opinion, the street is fast-paced and narrow it's impossible to easily nab a spot in front of the store. No worries, drive around the even more narrow residential streets for metered parking on a side street. I parked, maybe, two blocks away and took a nice stroll back to the business. Inside...WOW. Blown away. It's so cool! I didn't catch the name of the person who greeted me (she was friendly, that I'll give her) but I spotted the boots almost immediately and proceeded to go upstairs and get lost in the world of leather. I wanted a pair of black and authentic cowboy boots and boy, oh boy, do you get your wish on styles and looks. I picked out about three pairs that were well under $60 each. The only downfall? None were in my size, even rounded up to a whole size. Not giving up hope I looked at the brown selection of cowboy boots. It was like that pair and I were meant to be. Perfect fit, perfect distress, perfect all around. $35 too?! FATE. While the cashier was with another customer I decided to look around at the clothing selections. I may not be the perfect size for their clothes but the selections are fantastic and gorgeous. Definitely worth scouring for the upcoming Halloween costumes. I'm told that new selections are placed out on the weekends so that's a bit of knowledge to keep tucked away. You'll see me again.

They closed at 7 even though the hours said 8. The workers were pretty rude too about it. Not a fan

Their prices are quite reasonable. Many items are up to 80% off what you would pay for great clothes and bags. They also have some nice art now and again it is all fairly priced. This is not a Salvation Army type store, yes, all items are used, but all are designer or something you may have seen in a store. They do not have a huge vintage section and that is fine. It has just really nice things that I would end up paying a lot more for new. The service is great. The staff is nice and knows what is in the store and where. If you are looking for a nice bag, they have it or some nice clothes. I have bought a few things there and I have never been disappointed.

They took my phone number and said they would call when they found the match. I gave them my number and about a week later, they called and had found the match. I returned and bought it. Yesterday, we went there and bought a few things. Super cute stuff and fun to shop. My daughter found new Stan Smith Adidas. They couldn't sell them because they lost the key to unlock the block thing that the alarm goes off if cut. Again, I gave my number and today, they called and found the key. Went back and got the adidas.

I've been on a huge vintage kick lately, so this store has been my go-to source for old tees. My reasons for going vintage are primarily environmental since the carbon footprint and resources needed to make new clothes are substantial - and incredibly wasteful when there's so much awesome used clothing out there. Another reason: Your friends can't copy your style. Most recently, I picked up a few tees from the 1970s and 80s. Being in L.A. they get a lot of local and California vintage shirts with logos, designs, and jokes that only true Californians would get. I couldn't resist buying a Castroville "Giant Artichoke" tee they had over the summer. Personally, I tend to gravitate towards regional finds like these because they bring back such great memories of my youth and of family road trips up and down my home state. They also carry old college (Go Bears!), high school, and everyone's favorite - summer camp tees. Plus, you cannot beat the vintage fit from the 70s/80s. Caveat: Today's "S" is equivalent to an "M" or bigger because people were presumably thinner back then. So do your part for the environment and look effortlessly stylish doing it by shopping used and vintage! And there's no better place in L.A. for this than Raggedy Threads.

I love them, and I love true vintage t-shirts and what I love more are the people who are able to identify them and notice them when I wear them. Those are the folks that know, although I'm in a t-shirt it didn't come at a regular t-shirt cost. They appreciate my purchase as much as I do ;) Well... I'd heard Foxhole has reasonably priced vintage and they seem to. Seemed on par with other places I shop for shirts. I was also very excited to slip into a few pairs of vintage cut offs. I found the cutest pair that fit like they were made just for me. I didn't have to worry about alterations with this pair and chose it over another more boyfriend type fit that I have something fairly similar to already. Patches are also there thing here! They have tons and Fox mentioned she can sew them onto something nice if you have a collection of your own. Which, my boyfriend does! I'd love to be able to convince him to let me have Fox make something neat out of his childhood collection so it's not just sitting around the house in a box but he can display it and see them. We'll see... In the meantime I selected my own super cute Hot Air Balloon patch to have sewn onto the back of my new high waisted Levi's cut offs. I can't wait for the rain to stop so I can step out in them. They are adorably hot if that makes any sense at all. Adorably sexy... I don't know one of the two, maybe both. Met Jeff when I returned to pick them up a few days later. He is also very nice. Definitely do yourself a favor and stop in if you love vintage Denim or any and all of the above. I also picked up a really cute shamrock shirt to wear for St. Patty's Day with my birth year on it. Thanks Foxhole for an awesome first experience. I'll surely be back for overalls and more.
