I ordered a Pendejá (sandwich, not the wrap) and a Chicken Beefsteak quesadilla. The Pendejá sandwich was alright (don't kill me!) I would give it a 3 out of 5 stars. It just kinda tasted like a lot of meat on bread to me. But! I will say maybe ordering the wrap is a better idea & maybe opting to add some cheese would make it more delightful, for myself at least. The Chicken Beefsteak Quesadilla: 5 out of 5 stars! Talk about flavor. I'm probably hooked although I would prefer not to admit that. Ugh, amazing!!!!

This little food truck was a great substitute located just a couple of miles East of Old San Juan. Three of us split a pound of lechon, a small chorizo rice, and 3 empanadas (chicken, shrimp, and beef.) Our total came out to be just under $25. This was more food than we could eat. The lechon was delicious -salty, flavorful, meaty, and just the right amound of tenderness. Their tangy hot sauce was a grrat accompaniment. The empanadas were hot and flakey and just plain amazing. The rice was good, but pretty average. They had many other delicious sounding items on their rotating menu that we didn't get to try. Keep in mind they don't serve lechon everyday if this is what you are after. We came on a Saturday and they did have it. They have a facebook page en espanol that seems to be updated pretty regularly. The truck is located between the Shell gas station and the Iglesia Evangélica Luterana San Pablo. Look for a black trailer with a couple of shaded tables right off the Shell. Many people biked here as it's right along the paved pedestrian/bike trail that follows the water. Come check it out! El lobo is located right next to shell gas station which is great because you can buy beer/alcohol and bring it 15 feet away to el lobo and have yourselves dinner with drinks if you are on a budget. Add that with some lights hung up above and some good music and your set! The owners of el lobo are very polite and explains in detail the ingredients of each food listed on their menu for the day. This was top tier; probably the best I've had. Insanely tender chicken on a pan-toasted tortilla with pineapple and some sauce. Out of this world. But honestly, compared to what's coming next, I almost forgot all about those perfect tacos. Out comes the "torta". It looks like a rectangle piece of cornbread with crème and tomatoes on top. Served simply on a white flat plate, soufflé (torta) on the left, and the salad on the right. Ate the salad first. It was the low light. Fresh and tasty, but the dressing needs a bit more pop imo: maybe vinegar. I cut off a piece of the corn bread thing, being sure to include a bit of every ingredient. I'm lost for words. I don't know what to say. This is the perfect creation. This is a godly creation. I will never forget this. Now, as I mentioned, I'm from Arizona. So I love corn. I live green chiles. These are southwest flavors so maybe I'm biased. But this thing was perfect in every way as far as I'm concerned. What she said was sour cream I think was actually crème fraiche. But I don't care what you call it. Torta, sour cream, whatever! One of the best dishes I've eaten in my life. 6 stars.
