We were looking for pizza and we came across this spot. It is a small operation that only has delivery or pick up options. There aren't any tables or chairs inside. We got a pepperoni pizza, loaded tater tots, mild lemon pepper wings, a beef patty with pepperoni and cheese, and garlic bread bites. They estimated that the order would take 15-20 minutes to make and when we arrived 17 minutes later they told me they needed five more minutes. They were nice enough to bring it out to the car once it was ready. So we wanted pizza and I think that was the best item that we had. The pizza was piping hot with plenty of cheesy goodness. The sauce was slight sweet and the ratio of sauce to cheese was good. The crust was a good thickness and it was light and slightly chewy. Everything else sort of missed the mark. The wings were ok but not very crispy. The stuffed tater tots tasted like a loaded baked potato, which was great but they also weren't crisp on the outside, which was what I was expecting. The garlic bread bites tasted stale. They were overly chewy and the garlic parmesan topping was inconsistently covering them. The beef patty looked like a frozen patty from the grocery store that had been sliced open with pepperoni and cheese stuffed inside. It looked pretty pitiful and wasn't worth $2 extra for the pepperoni and cheese. I would come here again, but next time, I would only get pizza. read more

I have driven by this place so many times because the outside is not that impressive. It definitely doesn't look like the kind of place where you want to stop and grab dinner for your family. But eventually my curiosity got the best of me so I decided to order some pizza and cheese sticks And a Gyro. The cheese pizza is pretty similar to Costco pizza. Which is not an insult in any way, shape or form, because in my opinion, Costco pizza is some of the best there is. The pepperoni is also similar, so this in my opinion is pretty much the perfect combination of not quite thin and not quite thick crust. It is very tasty and it is what we order when we don't feel like driving all the way up to Costco. The cheese sticks were average, which is okay. The Gyro, though was friggin awesome. I don't know if I was just starving that day or if they really just make a very very good Gyro. I've ordered it twice more since then just because it is a really tasty lamb Gyro in my opinion. I am disappointed that we've lived here for so long, and I let the exterior cloud my judgment so it has taken me this long to actually try this place. read more

Don't know if I really want to write a review because "QUIET IS KEPT" but this place is AWESOME. Drive by here everyday after leaving work and I've seen co-workers bring the pizza into the office. But living in Petersburg and being retired military I drive by the Muncheese in Petersburg going to the commissary and it looks really untrustworthy. However, this spot rocks. First time and it was totally worth it. Got a large philly steak pizza with green peppers and extra meat, 1/2 tomatoes the other 1/2 no grilled onions, fresh onions and jalapeno. Excellent crust, not salty, great taste, not too cheesy or saucy, crunchy vegs which I love on a pizza. Plus plus plus. Would give it 5 stars but the guy called my wife back after the order saying it was too complicated....LOL. It turned out perfect anyways. Thanks and we'll be back. New pizza spot. read more

Went out in seek of some takeout and we had passed this place a bunch of times and finally decided to stop and check it out. The place is small but very clean and the gal at the checkout was very nice and helpful. We ordered a variety of stuff just because we didn't know what to get and wanted to try different things. They had a lot of variety and the prices are good as well. We ended up getting a pizza, burgers, chicken and steak sub, and wings. The buns on the burgers were really fresh, soft and good. The chicken/steak sub was huge and so was the pizza for the price. Everything had lots of flavor I think the only complaint would be to remember not to get lettuce on anything. It was on the burgers and steak sub and it was really soft and wilted and didn't go well with the burgers or sub. We had to scrape it off. Other than that it was really good. read more

I've rode by Muncheese a few times. Today... was looking for something different to order on Grubhub and decided to try Muncheese. We got the VA Philly which is steak and shrimp Philly, a regular Philly, and the chicken combo that comes with wings, tenders, cheese sticks, and fries. Everything was still pretty warm when it arrived minus the onion rings. Everything was also very good. With delivery, I spent about $54 which is kind of high for lunch. They are about a 14 minute drive so I think next time I would just order and pick up (curious if pricing is different in store). read more

Muncheese food is delicious. I love the onion rings ( huge and mouthwatering) the philly cheese steak and philly chicken sub are incredible, they even pack it with meat. My family goes there a lot. There is never a disappointment. If you call it in snd they give you a time. It's ready when you arrived. After passing this place a million times, I finally ordered delivery to see if I've been missing anything. I remember going to this building as a kid, when it was an ice cream shop, which had me feeling a little nostalgic. After reading reviews, I decided to order a variety of items, but skipped the pizza this time. I totally forgot to snap photos, but here's what my partner and I got: a chicken philly sub; lamb gyro platter; fish fillet sampler; cheeseburger; hot buffalo wings; fries; chicken bacon ranch sandwich. Here's how we felt about each item: Chicken Philly - very generous with the meat, which was seasoned and cooked well. The bread was a little mushy, so I think I'd throw it in the oven for about 5 minutes next time. Not sure how I feel about sliced yellow cheese on top of a philly sub, I'd rather have melted provolone or the og liquid orange cheese. The sandwich also felt a little dry, so I'll probably add more mayo if I get it again. Overall, not bad, but nowhere near the best I've had. Lamb Gyro Platter - another generous portion and one of my favorite dishes of the night. The lamb was lovely, the pita bread was good and the fries were okay. We received tzatziki, ranch, and tarter sauces, none of which were marked, and even after tasting each one, it was hard to tell which one was tzatziki. I think I ended up using the ranch with the gyro platter, but it worked fine. This was supposed to come with a can of soda, but did not. I didn't really care, but worth mentioning that it was left out. Fish Fillet Sampler - easily the favorite pick of the night. The fish fillets were perfectly cooked and seasoned well enough that we didn't need to add anything to them, although it never hurts to sprinkle on a little hot sauce with fried fish! The fillets were HUGE. Crispy on the outside and deliciously tender inside. I will definitely be ordering this again. The fish was better than any of the fried fish I've had around town, even at "seafood" joints. This was also supposed to come with a soda, but did not. If the price is built-in for the cost of a soda, it starts to add up when it's left off of each platter. Cheeseburger - typical frozen beef patty, which would be okay for the price, but the bun tasted really stale. Will most likely not order this again. Wings - traditional with hot buffalo sauce. These were okay, but I think ordering a dry rub is the way to go next time. Or maybe getting the sauce on the side. It's like they were soggy and overcooked at the same time, if that makes any sense. Fries - nobody is going here for the fries, but they're good enough to munch on as a side. They're not good enough to want to keep eating them after the sandwich is finished ... but maybe that's a good thing. Chicken Bacon Ranch Sandwich - I'm personally not a big fan of this combination and especially not from here. My partner who usually loves this type of sandwich, threw this one away. The bacon was really weird, maybe turkey bacon?! Gross AND a mean trick for this bacon lover! Bun was stale. The chicken was barely warm and was a cheap frozen patty. The cheese wasn't melted and the lettuce was wilted. Just no. Overall, an okay experience. The delivery was quick and the food was hot (aside from the Chicken Bacon Ranch Sandwich). Will get the fish and gyro again for sure and would like to try a stromboli and an Italian sub. Stay tuned for updates. read more

Going through the list of available ingredients and they wanted to charge an additional.50 cents for catsup and .50 for mustard. I was here from of town for work and wanted something quick and delicious that delivered. We were able to order online which is always a plus for me. It took about 2 hours for the pizza and wings to come. They were luke warm when they arrived so I had to heat it up in the microwave. The pizza reminded me of Chuck E. Cheese pizza which is not a good thing. It was rubbery with waaayyyy too much cheese and barely Andy sauce. My wings were ok. Pretty greasy and not fried hard like I requested. Favorite local spot, even though I've never been inside. We usually get it delivered through door dash. My boyfriend and I HAVE to order from there at least once every 2 weeks. I usually order the steak and cheese, I don't know what they do to the steak, but it is magical. The cheese fry portion is bigger than just a regular fry. I also love their onion rings. My boyfriend gets wings and his favorite favor is hot old bay. They have many different flavors to choose from. You can tell this establishment has a good sense of humor by the signs they have posted. We seriously have never been disappointed by this place. Every single thing we've tried has been delicious. It also delivered well (with fixings on the side) GARLIC BREAD WITH CHEESE was also amazing, was a LARGE portion, and had the perfect amount of garlic butter. I will say that there might have been a bit too much cheese, but that just shows that they don't skimp on ingredients. Tomorrow night we will be trying boneless wings, beef donairs, Caesar salad and poutine. (Fries speak volumes, so will they pass the test?) I've wanted to try this place since my first experience with the one in Petersburg. No comparison. I wanted the steak and cheese with chicken and shrimp. Steak was non existent, bread was stale, chicken was a day old, and it had a total of 4 shrimp. I paid extra for bacon and mushrooms of which the bacon was soggy if any could be found. Not worth the 20 bucks the lone sandwich came to. I'll drive right on past to the other location. Hopefully they still remember quality. read more
