Their wings, salads & burgers are the best! As far as drinks, they have a full bar and the bartenders are good mixologists that can whip up something according to your drink of choice and taste buds. We saw this place while running errands and decided to pop in. The restaurant looked clean and we were sat immediately. Our server was new, but did a good job overall. All the food came out at once. We started with the zesty bombas which were like fried mashed potatoes and a chipotle sauce. We also got the cheese quesadilla and the fried hangry bird chicken sandwich. It seemed like they were out of quite a few things on the menu, as the first two items I ordered they didn't have. The cheese quesadilla and chicken sandwich were as expected. In Columbus for a softball tournament. We checked in to our hotel the night before and went to this restaurant for dinner. Service was good, food was delicious and we got to watch the Cavs game. I asked a few questions about certain menu items and she knew absolutely nothing. They don't bring the meals out all at once. For example one person will get their meal and the others get to sit there and watch them pig out. I've been here multiple times and I've never gotten a refill on my drinks. I watched the table behind us wait 15 minutes before they brought their change back. The second table beside us had to get up and get the waiters attention just to get a refill. No silverware on command when sitting down. Plus just to get a table you have to wait awhile... when not even busy! Makes you decide if you wanna come back or not. Update they never gave us our check and we ended up walking up the the front counter to get our bill so we could leave. The waiter is just standing around talking coworkers. I lived in Panama and one of my fond memories were the fresh pork rinds and at the end there was actual pork. I do not know why I thought that is what this was. I did enjoy the chipotle sauce with it, but I will not make this mistake again. If you have seasoned citizens, this is the spot for them. I was not lookin for this joint, I jus ran into it and I'm real happy I did. Munchie's is the TRUTH!! I first checked the temperature of the place and it was real cool and and nice inside. This is a spot to watch the game, have dranks and get some of their famous wings. Not those small ones either. I can vouch for the Carolina gold and garlic parm with a side of potato skins (not frozen).......FIRE!!!!!! Hands down my new favorite wings and skins in Columbus. Last night my husband and I went to Munchies for dinner at 2045 Brice Rd. I was very very disappointed in the place. It says it's a sports bar but tonight I would really question that. There were only 3 TV's that had baseball on and the rest of the TV's had nothing but rap music and video of rap. The videos were appalling. Half dressed women shaking there butts and breast. There were a few videos where it showed 2 black people having sex as rap music played. The music was so loud you couldn't hear the person next to you talk. No mix in music just all rap. The food was good except for the chicken sandwich. My husband said that it was only fair and didn't have much flavor. We will not be back as it is NO LONGER A SPORTS BAR. read more

Especially love their wings (better than Roosters--if you like a spicy lime sauce, Pao Pao is great), empanadas (crust and fillings are spot on!! Definitely not the frozen prepackaged stuff), chicharrones (the freshest I've found in Columbus), potato skins (newer item--classic!), and fries (crunchy the way it should be) just to name some. Place is still new, alot of waiters standing around chit chatting. Our waiter did not know what the food taste like. If you want to drink and watch sports a good place to go. Nothing special about the chips and dip, had the cheese sauce, it came out warm not hot wasn't even spicy. Just plain cheese sauce. The garlic wings were pale and needed more sauce. Roosters has nothing to worry about. The sandwiches DO NOT come with a side! $12 is to much just for a sandwich. It was $1.99 to add fries. Daughter had the Bleu burger it tasted good but the bacon overtook the taste. I had the braised beef empanadas the meat needs to be chopped up more. The crust was flaky and came with a spicy dipping sauce. I may come back just to try the tamales. To bad they don't sell the tamales and empanadas individually so you can try different fillings. First of all, I am so very happy that this restaurant was placed in an existing, renovated, establishment -- this side of town, has far too many abandoned buildings. I have eaten here a few times with all but one being carry out; this is the place of choice when I am 'craving bar food' - with this being a higher quality food. The one time I dined in, we had a large party, so getting food was a 'little' slow, but the server was a delight, and on top of everything. The music was on point, and helped our table reconnect (this was a get together post funeral). I have always had a consistently good food. I am at fault for finding something I like, and continue to order it every time -- this would be the case with the jumbo quesadilla. It has been crispy and tasty every time. It is large enough to share as an appetizer, or as a meal with some to take home. I can't really speak to their drinks or most of their menu, but I've heard good things. I am happy with their consistency and offerings -- definitely a recommend. read more

Oh boy. I've been watching the former Genji's Japanese Steakhouse transformation into Munchie's for over a year with curiosity. They are now open. However I am not entirely sure it is a finished product. The menu is eclectic. They serve both Coke and Pepsi products. My 3 chicken empanadas came with a 4th (not a complaint, just an observation). They had more TVs than customers (24 TVs, to 10 customers). I eventually figured out how to get in the parking lot from an always busy Brice (Channingway to the back of their lot seems the best bet.) Prices are very reasonable. The alcohol variety seems extensive as well. The guacamole was heavenly as a side. They'll figure this out, but hopefully it is soon enough to draw a crowd. read more

Well let me say that I am fuming.....I am disabled and use a service dog to assist me with my disabilities. If you know anything about service dogs you know that a true one is behaved, non intrusive, and are allowed access to anywhere the general public is allowed. It is federal law that a handler be allowed access to anywhere the public is allowed. Well today, 3/24/21 at 12:47 pm, my two grandsons, myself and my service dog entered this establishment. The hostess pled at us twice and then fumbled with some paperwork. She then looked at me and stated that they do not allow service dogs as they are not set up for it. Service dogs do not require anything from the establishment. Basically we want you to ignore our medical equipment as we enjoy our meal. I explained to her that he was breaking federal law. She didn't care. What is aggravating is that if I was in a wheel chair I could have been served however since my medical equipment is a service dog I am discriminated against. I would recommend spending your money at establishments that are all inclusive and do not violate federal law! read more

I have been to Munchies several times for food and drinks. This time I had to write a review because this dish was not up to par for $15. I ordered the tilapia shrimp. The tilapia was blackened as mentioned in the menu but I figured for the price, I would have received 2 pieces of fish since the shrimp were less than bite size. The parmesean sauce that they put on the side had no flavor nor was it hot. Seemed as though it was out the jar. We also ordered naked wings meaning no batter. The bartender made sure of that when she sent the order to the kitchen. Whelp we ended up with breaded chicken. Thankfully they removed from our bill. My sister and I were in town for a concert. Not many people there as they just recently opened for the day. We were sat and who we thought was a server came over and grab our drink order. My sister went to the bathroom and he came back asking what vodka we would like. He himself made the drink even though there was a bar tender who seemed no to be doing anything except watching tv and talking to the few customers at the bar. We ordered the Sweet Chili wings when we got our drinks, which were ON POINT! We then ordered our food (burger and fries and ribs with mac&cheese). The wings were PERFECT and CRISPY!! I loved the wings! This is how wings should be!! When we got our meals, again everything was on POINT! When restaurants advertise 'Fall of the bone Ribs' they better be falling off the bone, and these WERE! These were amazing and I'm LOVE my Ribs! These are so much better then chains. Live music was fun, grown folk atmosphere for Sat evening with framily. Server (I forget young lady's name )was very attentive and accurate with our orders and bill split. I was treated like a king as I sat at the bar and was pleased to learn that they have live music on Friday and Saturday nights! So, I sat and listened until their first set was over! Stopped while passing through the area. At first, I really didn't have high expectations but they definitely exceeded them. I had the boneless wings with lemon pepper sauce, thinking it would be similar to some bigger wing joints. I was blown away with them. They came out hot and delicious.
