Short menu but big flavors. Hearty and robust and ample. I ordered the Slow roasted rib dip with sweet potato fries and could eat only half of it. Others in my party ordered the rib sandwich, cheeseburger, regular fries, and grilled chicken salad. No complaints! Their fries are uniquely yummalicious. They're cut differently...almost like sliced. And they seem air fried but I'm not sure. They have a nice crisp on the edges but are slightly pliable and then sort of melt in your mouth. First time here and it just happen to be in a blizzard. The parking is fairly unique as you need to go around the building to actually park there. The atmosphere is warm and the bar is set up really nicely with a bunch of choices to pour. The menu is small and the food selection looks to be fairly unique. We decided to go with the Diablo double and one of us got regular fries and the other got sweet potato fries. The staff answered our questions and were super friendly, even with an almost full dining room. The burger was cooked perfectly to our desired temps and the toppings were all fresh and the rolls were nice and soft. Will definitely be coming back to try their other burgers on their menu, but I will rank this one of the top burgers in town. read more

Decided to hit up SLAB at 7360 East Main Street in Reynoldsburg. I was greeted by Bryan and Terron when I entered. I first met them 6 years ago when they had just started a Food Truck. I was seated and my waitress Emily took my order. I ordered the SLAB Burger which is a beef patty, bbq back rib, Havarti cheese, onion straws and SLAB sauce on a Brioche Bun. I also HAD to order the Sweet Potato Fries. It was kind of ironic that my waitress Kia from over a month ago stopped by and said hi. Emily brought my food out. The burger is on a very nice Brioche Bun. All the ingredients worked well together to provide a great flavored sandwich. Of course I have to talk about the freshly made sweet potato fries, you add in the SLAB dipping sauce. OMG!!!! So flavorful of a dipping sauce. On to my server Emily. I was blown away by her. She grew up with the owners. She works a corporate job during the week. She refilled my water numerous times, even when it wasn't necessary and I had to ask why. She related that you never know when you're going to busy, you don't EVER want your customer to be without or waiting for a refill. I can't recommend SLAB enough. "Amazing food, but terrible service both visits" This was our second time visiting SLAB Kitchen. The first time, our waitress seemed annoyed when we asked for a few minutes to look over the menu -- we explained it was our first time there. Her body language made it clear she didn't want to come back. After she finally took our order (about 10 minutes later), we never saw her again. Other staff members brought our food and refilled our water, and we had to ask someone else for our check after waiting about 15 minutes once we were finished. Despite the poor service, the food was absolutely delicious, so we decided to give it another try and bring our daughter. Unfortunately, we were seated with the same waitress, and the experience was just as disappointing. Once again, the food was amazing, but the service was rude and inattentive -- we had to repeatedly ask for our check, and she never came back to our table. No matter how good the food is, we won't be returning. When customers are spending this kind of money, a little courtesy and attentiveness should come with the meal. read more

The food here was amazing. I had the Rib Dip sandwich with fries and my husband had the BBQ rib sandwich with fries. I absolutely loved my rib dip and fries; the pork was nicely seasoned, and paired well with the cheese and toasted bun. The pork jus was flavorful. The hand cut fries were a cross between potato slices and steak fries and were fantastic. Hubby would have liked more slaw and onion tangles on his BBQ, but enjoyed it still. Only reason for 4 instead of five stars is the inconsistent service. Everyone was wonderfully kind, but it was 10 minutes from seating before we were recognized, another 10 to order drinks, another 15 to order food, and we had to ask to have our server come see us. She admitted she didn't know she had our table. We had to flag down our drinks, as they were unsure who ordered them, and we were offered food that was not ours. Hopefully some of these kinks will be worked out, as the food was truly amazing. I just fear they will lose customers (we saw one couple leave tonight) due to the lack of a solid service plan. read more

Our experience at Slab was just okay. The portion sizes were noticeably small. I ordered the Diablo Burger, and unfortunately, it barely covered half of the bun and was overcooked. My husband had the Mahi Mahi sandwich, which was also on the smaller side. Both meals came with fries that were good, but we were surprised to find we were charged separately for them. Our daughter ordered the wings, which were actually a nice size and well-prepared. Service-wise, we didn't see our waitress much, but when we did, she was friendly. What really stood out, though, was how the owner personally greeted every table around us--some more than once--but never acknowledged ours. It left us feeling overlooked and unwelcome. To top it off, when we went to pay, we realized we had been overcharged. The waitress was kind when we pointed it out and corrected the mistake, but no one, including the owner, offered an apology. In fact, one of the owners seemed visibly irritated about having to adjust the bill. Unfortunately, based on this experience, we won't be returning. read more

Slab was located inside Eastside Brewery in Reynolsburg. They grew out of the kitchen they were leasing and now own a wonderful spot on Main Street. The food is always delicious and consistent. New items are soon to be added. The specialty drinks are good the beer and wine selections are decent. The atmosphere is unique. He really liked the sweet potato fries and thought the ribs were okay, but a bit dry (btw, they are advertised as baby back but were not like any baby back rib I've ever seen...they are large and fatty like a St. Louis style) and needed more sauce. We kept hoping that maybe our waitress would come back and check on us so we could ask for sauce, but she never did. So I flagged down another waitress (the other waitresses all seemed very attentive to their tables) and asked if she could tell our waitress we needed bbq sauce. A bit later a different waitress brought us more bbq sauce. Oh, and our waitress said the ribs come with fries and we could sub sweet potatoes fries...but we were charged $4.50 for the side. When I was done eating and my husband was almost done, our waitress finally came back and asked if we wanted to cash out (remember, my husband is still actively eating). This truck has only been open for a few weeks. And I hope they are open forever! The food is sooooo good. They were at the Ohio Agriculture building today. I work down the street and sent all my employees there to eat. The owner of the truck was so nice and even though they were busy they were very well organized. The ribs are to die for! Next time I'm just getting a full slab. They just fall right off the bone. The slaw is creamy and not too vinegary. The rib dip sandwich and the slab burger were also good. Everything looked and tasted good that we got. They do not offer much for drinks. They had water bottles. The portions are good. And unlike some food trucks, they put the food in to go containers which was nice for us because we drove to the truck. I'll be seeking them out for more! read more

First time eating here, They set up at several places so I have seen them around. I stepped right up to the truck and placed my order. I had a half rack of ribs, as I was not very hungry. It was about a 10 minute wait to get my food. I got home and opened the box to find a sauced up slab. Upon tearing into it, the meat fell of the bone. With the exception of a little sauce, the bones had no meat left on them at all! The meat was tender and juicy. The sauce had great flavor and was not overwhelming. The grilled chicken sandwhich was perfect. I am funny about my grilled chicken sandwhiches because it can turn out to dry or not cooked enough or just plain nasty. This truck has met my requirments not to dry not over cooked or under cooked and spiced right. They add some bbq sauce and tge pickle tomato and lettuce and they end up with a happy camper in me. I will be getting that again. I also dried the ribdip sandwhich. It was tasty but I think I would try the bbq version vrs just plain one per my taste buds. Omg! This food truck has shown me why ribs are so great. You want to talk about fall off the bone? We couldn't even get the bone out of the box without the meat falling off. Plus the BBQ sauce they put on the ribs tasted great. The ribs were full of flavor and there was a lot of food. I'm stuffed and didn't even finish my fries or the slaw. I'm very much impressed. This food truck came to our neighborhood for Friday night dinner and we ordered online. We got a text confirmation and then about 2 hours later, got a text saying our food was ready.
