Hopefully, with the excellent equipment here, I will once again look like someone who doesn't at all the wonderful restaurants I review for yelp. Seriously though, the staff is great and the equipment is great here, too. The YMCA is great everywhere, and this is a particularly good branch.

The spinning and pilates classes are particularly awesome (thanks Cheri, Laurie). It's a clean environment, and everyone is super helpful -- which is a plus. There's a kid's babysitting center on the first floor and a gigantic playroom on the second floor (that is peanut/popcorn free so there are no little kid allergy freak outs.) Added bonus (if you didn't know): If you join one YMCA, you have free access to any Y anywhere in the world. So, you have that going for you.

Little Scholars was such a blessing when I had a crazy commute of living in Indianapolis and…read moredriving to Muncie every day. I did online searches of all daycares in the area and this one never popped up so I was frustrated with my lack of choices until a coworker mentioned they had toured Little Scholars and liked it. I made a quick phone call and scheduled a tour for myself. Staff could not have been nicer and rates were very affordable. Thankfully, I was able to get on the waiting list in enough time to have availability for when I finished maternity leave. My whole experience here was so easy. I handed over a bag of my son's items every day and they labeled everything for me. I set my car sear in the front hall with all the others and picked it back up at the end of the day. Staff was always very laid back. I never once got a call about an emergency or a situation that they couldn't handle. I could stop in and check on my baby any time that I wanted. I enjoyed getting my notes at the end of the day with a full report of all of his activities. They also did crafts! I was so impressed that my baby got sent home with completed crafts all of the time. My son was happy here and was usually rocking peacefully when I arrived for pick-up. I no longer commute to Muncie every day but I am so thankful this daycare was available for when I needed it.

My daughter is really happy here and asks to go to school and loves days when she has class. In the summer there are various camps based on age and skill level like cheerleading, flag football, basketball, reading, music, and swimming. Cons: They don't have a security system. Anyone can walk in, which is kind of scary. They have a playground across the street that the kids have to walk to and several times the gate has been left open. Also, there is a staircase going down without a gate on it. The lack of security features (huge deal in my mind) are the reason for 3/5 stars. p.s. They always schedule school events during the day time of weekdays. I have my child in childcare for a reason... I work. This has caused a great deal of stress from time to time.
