Our tour guide the previous day advised us to wait until around 10-1030 before arriving to ensure vendors were open. We heeded his advice and yet 1/3 of the stalls were either still setting up or had not yet arrived so be aware of this when visiting. The area has plenty of space for lots to walk and gather, though there isn't much space to sit down and eat. There are a plethora of food stalls, fresh juices, sweets, meats and more. We wandered up and down each aisle stopping when we saw something interesting. We tried pastries, olives, tacos, candies and flavored salts. This was a great spot to pick up gifts for people back home.

They had a wide variety of flavors and all of them were delicious. But even better than the gelato was the service. The husband and wife who run the shop were always so friendly and welcoming. They spoke English for my husband and were very patient and encouraging as I practiced my castellano. It's been almost a year since we were in Barcelona and we still talk about Sante Gelato. Visiting this shop was such a sweet part of our trip to Barcelona and I'm sure we'll stop by on our next trip!
