My Love and I had SO MUCH FUN here acting like a couple of regular fools!…read more We selected the evening visit option, which runs from 5:00 PM -11:30 PM. We didn't want to be running around in the hot sun, and we figured the lines would be lighter in the evening. Surprisingly, it was still super busy! We visited in early January, and the evening temperatures were mild. You can visit as many attractions as you like during your visit. We started out ziplining and moved our way to the amphibious vehicles, cave rafts, and a few water slides. Our faces hurt from laughing so much. The provided dinner is buffet style and surprisingly good! Lots of options, including vegan and vegetarian. The dining hall is huge, so you're not siting elbow-to-elbow with randoms. They spaced everyone out nicely (plus not everyone is dining at the same time). Water shoes are required. You can purchase them on-site for $20, and these suckers will last you a lifetime. They're nice quality and comfortable. I have plantar fasciitis, and my feet were protected and cushioned the entire time. Helmets are required and provided. There are lockers, but the rooms are all co-ed. You will need to bring your own towel. Phones are discouraged, as you need to hold on with both hands when participating in many of the activities. You can buy a waterproof case to hang around your neck if you'd like. YOU WILL GET WET ON NEARLY EVERY RIDE. Wear swimwear and something over it if you don't want your hiney hanging out. The staff are SUPER patient and very friendly. Everyone is bilingual (Spanish/English) so no worries about communication barriers. This place is fun for kids all the way up to (fit) senior citizens. There is a lot of walking, so be forewarned! Taxis are easy to catch here, with the assistance of the outdoor staff. It was about a $40 fare from and to our Riviera Maya hotel (Hard Rock). I am still laughing my head off!

Minor criticisms - *It was a little confusing to get around, as signage was a bit inconsistent and occasionally conspicuous until you got your general bearings. *Food was pretty meh, if you're staying at an Xcaret Hotel I'd try to eat before/after your visit, if possible. *The water slide rider thru put isn't great, so I imagine wait times on very busy days can get out of hand in a hurry. I also complained about the helmets all day long until I soundly wacked my head and was 12/10 glad to have it on .

My favorite things here was looking at all the different birds, observing the wildlife, and sitting by the ocean. It was so beautiful everywhere you went! We also saw so many wild lemurs here throughout the park which was cool. However, since the park was so big, we ended up spending a lot of time walking to each experience. Overall, I would recommend this park since there are so many things to do!

A full-day adventure you still won't finish…read more We spent a full day at Xcaret Park, and honestly, it was one of the highlights of our entire trip. There is SO much to do that you genuinely can't fit it all in one day--underground rivers, beaches, snorkeling spots, wildlife exhibits, and cultural experiences throughout the park. Everything is beautifully maintained, super clean, and very well organized. The staff was helpful from start to finish, and the whole place felt safe and easy to navigate. Food options were plentiful with something for everyone, and it was a huge plus that meals were included. There's also plenty of parking (we didn't have to pay), which made getting there stress-free. A few helpful tips: * Bring water shoes - you'll thank yourself in the rivers * Bring a waterproof phone pouch - must-have for photos * You'll need to sign a waiver at the start * You'll receive a wristband + locker key with a chip (included, no extra charge--just don't lose it!) * There are plenty of showers and changing areas, plus parking within the park Be prepared--there is a LOT of walking, so wear comfortable shoes and pace yourself. Overall, this place is a must-do if you're visiting Mexico. It's the perfect mix of adventure, nature, and culture all in one unforgettable experience.

One day in Cozumel and one in Playa. It was a great experience. The staff is so professional and accommodating. The prices are very reasonable and competitive. There were no hidden fees and no surprises, and the location is perfect. We had small groups both days. The second day there were only four divers and an instructor, Dana. We had a really good time and will be coming back soon. If you're booking online and are a little nervous about the unknown, rest assured you will be taken care of by Dive Mike.

And that's not even a guarantee, I just think I could. I really enjoyed our first experience scuba diving in Playa Del Carmen. There were 4 of us with the instructor so it was a good size to teach and learn. I didn't feel too nervous. First they take you to a pool about 5-6 feet deep and teach you the basics which was needed for a beginner. It was my fiancé, myself and another older couple from Sweden. After an hour or 2 of practice in the pool, we got a lunch break and came back for the actual dives. We had 2 dives abt 30ish mins each and both were great. The first dive felt like a trial run so it was a little terrifying. The couple and my fiancé felt sick after so they skipped on the second dive and I got to dive with the instructors. So fun! The instructor Caro (I think that's her name) was very knowledgeable and fun. She was very thorough and made me feel comfortable. I loved the second dive because it was just me and the pros. Pretty cool. There wasn't much to see underwater which was kind of a bummer but nonetheless, still a great experience. The worst part for me was walking from the shore to the boat. There were tons of rocks that make it a very painful walk and the current was pretty strong. I recommend investing in some water shoes. Regardless, I had tons of fun and would totally do it again. For a little over $100 dollars, this was a great deal.

Your biggest snags will be the lines for the water slides, bird flight, and the Xensatorium. There is a fast pass for the bird flight experience. The kids and I really wanted to check this place out. It had been a long time since we had been here. Since it's a smaller park, it can be overlooked, but the park really tests the five senses. When you first get in you will have the ability to see the various optical illusions (via mirrors, special effects, or room layouts) and take selfies of those moments. The lobby imhas several selfie experiences, starting from the entrance to the locker rooms. Then there's the pueblo, where you will run into an upside down town. You think you are walking uphill but feel the opposite. There will be other opportunities to take selfies of you being in the ceiling, standing over a bottomless pit, or jumping towards the ground...it's all crazy in the Pueblo Abajo Town. The Xensatorium will have you enter a totally darkened tunnel where you will have to use the rest of your senses to feel, smell, and listen your way through the cave...cold, wet, warm, breezy, misty, ...finally ending in a cavern. The bird experience is extremely short, but it heads up the way to the heated float pools, and the muddy river, ...bucket showers will clean you off and you're onto the next one. I thought it was fun, and you can stay there as long as you like. The one thing I don't like about it is the Xnack bar isn't free, you have to pay for the food here...unlike the other parks. If you like selfies, you'll enjoy this park.

The company offers different sorts or excursion, whether it be to Tulum, Cenotes, ATV, Snorkeling etc.. you get to choose which one. We chose to do half a day which was the ATV and Cenote. The entire excursion lasted about 3.5 hours which was good- We did not want to be out all day as it is very exhausting doing an all day excursion lol. We were picked up at 10 and came back a little after 1. Our tour guide Christian was awesome! Our group was small (4 people) in a good way as it felt like we were given a private tour. They normally get larger groups (15+ people). I've never rode an ATV before so I was quite nervous as I was afraid of driving into the trees and getting abducted by Mayans (lol). Anywho, Christian made sure everyone was close together and his instructions were very clear. There will be another team member behind you if you are last to make sure you don't get lost. Once you're done with the ATV, lunch is provided. There was a decent selection but nothing to rave off of. The cenote was quite large. You must rinse yourself in the shower to take off the sunscreen/ products off your body before entering the cenote as there are fishes in there. Life jackets are also provided. There are zip lines that drop you off to the cenote. I personally did not use it as I'm terrified of height. Overall I would definitely recommend this excursion.

We were given locks for lockers and told to put away anything we didn't want to take on the ziplines. They went on to say we could bring phones or cameras at our own risk. We received harnesses and helmets, but as the second person checked mine, I was told I needed a different harness. After getting the 2nd harness and starting to climb the stairs, our tour guide told me I could not take my GoPro as I needed both hands on the line. It was on a bright yellow handle with a wrist strap. How did I get fitted for 2 harnesses and a helmet without them telling me? I put the camera away and started up the stairs. They were a little steep but doable. On the way up I passed several people from our group going down that could not handle the stairs. As we went from one platform to another I noticed several people in the group holding their phones on the zipline and the guides said nothing to them. But they didn't allow my camera, which was made to be secured to my arm? I was last off the ziplines. As I came down, my tour guide asked if I was wearing a swimsuit and told me to go wait by the hammocks. No further instruction like bring a towel, or put shirt away. He seemed annoyed with me for being last. I had to ask the others what we were doing next and what to bring. The underground cenote was next. We had the option of a regular life jacket or an inflatable one for those who wanted to dive. Even though the tour was listed as snorkeling and the description stated snorkels are included, there were no snorkels, only masks. We were told the government outlawed rental snorkels. The Adventure Maya website shows people with snorkels and still lists the activity as "snorkeling". Our guide told us a little about the cenote and took us around showing the bats and the stalactites. We did a loop in the cenote that according to the recording on my GoPro took 17 minutes before we got out. We left the cave and had 25 minutes to dry off and eat lunch before we had to be back in the van. Lunch was pasta with vegetables, rice, and roasted chicken, along with salad. While eating, there was someone going around selling the photos but never made it to my table before we left. I attempted to view the photos online for several weeks after. The site says they are available for 60 days after the tour, but nothing came up for our date or any other. Stop 2 was the YaKul lagoon and cavern. We were given the same options for life jackets, just a mask with no snorkel, and flippers, before being led down to the lagoon. We were not allowed to put on sunscreen here, and most of us had not put on sunscreen prior as all the swimming was supposed to be underground. I later learned there was an underground cavern at this location, but we were not taken there. It was very crowded with other groups. Our guide led us around in a loop, but there was not much to see. The water was also very murky from so many people kicking up sediment. Many of us just went back to get in the shade. Even with the short amount of time, the back of my head got sunburned. When the guide got out of the water we had 10 minutes to retrieve our things from the van and change clothes as we had to leave in 10 minutes to get to our ferry. The changing rooms were actually decent. I asked our tour guide about the other cenotes we were supposed to visit, as the description provided by the cruise line said "4 cenotes", but we had gone to 2. He was unaware of why it stated 4. When we got to Palya Del Carmen we had to rush to make it to the pier on time for the 3:45 ferry back to Cozumel. We made it on time however, the ferry did not start moving toward Cozumel until 4:22. The tour was supposed to return by 4:30 which would have given us a little time to shop in Cozumel before getting back on the ship by 5:30. Ended up being an hour late and got through security just in time to make it on the ship at 5:35.

Taxi to the destination was separate and $15 each. When you arrive, they have you watch 5-10 minutes of safety + general environmental awareness videos before putting on life vests. Then you walk to the pool and get into the water. There is a guide and photographer with you the entire time, and closely guides the dolphins on what to do. Dolphins did some cool stuff - flips, leg push, got to touch them, but nothing crazy and wasn't as personal as I expected even in a small group of 2-4. After the dolphin visit (around 45 min - 1 hour) then comes pictures. They take you to a room and try to convince you to pay $210 USD for 10 pics, and the packages get more expensive from there. I personally did not want to buy the pics, and felt pretty harassed about this. Would rather just leave after the visit next time. Not sure if I'd recommend. It was cool to do once, but definitely pricey and probably better places you could go.

Awful. So regret not going with Dolphin Discovery. We loved our Dolphin Discovery experience some…read moreyears back but they were closed on the day we could go. Delphinus clearly has connections so they are attached to Xplor Xelha mega company and other locations. This was a terrible experience and to total rip off for the money. Delphinus said small groups but they meant a mega group split up into 8 groups that took forever with 2 smaller, older dolphins. They kept repeating simple exercises to stall for time. We paid extra for the superman push and the dolphins fail to push kids out of the water properly (not even past the waist) To be fair, the dolphins weren't given enough swim distance to get the momentum needed but we really had to question how small and old these dolphins are that the same 2 dolphins were performing these activities for a huge group. Then at the end, they added some weird and unnecessary snorkel with the dolphin. You can get the same experience in a smaller group, better run and actually get pushed out of the water during the superman push at Dolphin Discovery. The photos are super expensive but they are no matter where you go. Delphinus does not offer the additional video though. We added the additional cost of transport. It takes about 30 minutes from Playa del Carmen. We had a 10am reservation so they picked us up at 8:50am at a nearby location. On the transport back, they combined us with a group that clearly stayed for another experience so we sat waiting 20 minutes for them in a non air conditioned area with nothing to do and no food or water. Then to add to the wait, we dropped them off first at playacar - I'm sure they were happy. So this added another 10 minutes for a total of 1h 40m (11:20am-12:40pm) for what should have been a 30m transport. We were hot, bored and very hungry - we thought this just added to the stinky experience. To finally being dropped off at 12:40pm. The driver wouldn't even let us off a few blocks earlier with some nonsense about being tracked, like that was our problem. After multiple complaints and getting re-directed, a month later they refunded the transport.
