Transportation was right on time, no transfer to another bus, or another stop, or (like other excursions we've been on). Also it took less than an hour from the hotel zone. The guys working at Selvatica went above and beyond. What a nice group of people working. Every single person working was non stop going, and still were so happy and nice. They made us feel comfortable, and made our day so enjoyable. It is a guided, organized experience so you're guaranteed to do everything that you signed up for. Barely any wait, and you're basically with the same group the whole time. The light 'snack', is a turkey sandwich, and then you get lunch (tacos/fajitas) at the end. There's a very cool bar, the place itself is picture worthy, you feel like you're in a tree house! Highly recommend doing this. There are lockers there, but can't bring phones on most of the activities. There are photographers (hanging from zip lines!), and photos for purchase at the end. $100, however they came with nearly 150 photos, worth the purchase. Recommend - wearing comfy clothes, bring a swim suit, and if you have crocs id wear those.

If there is only one Xcaret park you have time for, come to Xplor! It was so much fun. They have…read morezip lines, ATV, swimming through the caves and more! My then fiancé (now husband) and I spent the entire day here and was able to finish all the activities (some more than once). The buffet is really good and you can come and go as you please. It's extensive and has a variety of cuisines but my favorite is definitely drinking the refreshing agua frescas. Book your tickets in advance! They sell out. And come early! Even if you have a ticket, you'll have to wait in line to check in and you would wanna beat the crowd for at least the first activity. There are stands with traffic lights at certain areas in Xplor that show you the wait times and line congestion-super helpful! Everybody is required to wear a helmet they provide for safety since a majority is walking under the caves. You are also required to have water shoes. You can find good ones online before your trip or you can buy more expensive ones at their gift shop. There are two routes for swimming-short and long. We did both and we were so glad we tried the long route because you can actually see bats! I've seen mini bats before but it was my first time seeing them so close! And I was swimming underneath them! Keep in mind, the water can get cold so be sure to wear some good wetsuits. There was really long line for the new slide, the toboganxote. DO NOT skip this and trust me, even though waiting outside in the heat is pretty painful, the water slide at the end is worth it! You might share the tube with strangers. My husband and I shared it with two others. You cannot record with a loose device. They will not allow you. You would want to grab on to the handles because you might fall. If you do record, you'll need a GoPro attachment on your helmet or something. The slide is such a thrill! I wish we did it more than once but sadly, the wait time truly was very long. This is a fun tourist attraction for thrill-seekers!

We dropped in the cool water and began walking through the underground waterway, with beautiful stalactites and stalagmites surrounding us. (Quite refreshing, from the hot and humid summer heat of the jungle surroundings). Later in the evening we climbed the top of the large water slide. I was not ready for the twists and turns, along with the stomach to the mouth unexpected downward plunging sections. At the end of the ride, I was both exhilarated and exhausted! One of the park employees, Issac, who is now my hero, noticed how fatigued I was and went out of his way to help me out. Leading me to a nearby hammock, where I spent a few hours getting my equilibrium back under control. At the end of the night, Issac unexpectedly returned and presented me with a few complimentary gifts, a beautiful embroidered tote bag and a stone night light with the Heart emblem with the Xplor logo on the front. It truly touched my "corazon". Shout out to Issac!! From the old guy on vacation from Texas. I'll always remember you and will add this to one of stories I tell my friends and family.

We were promised last pick up/first drop off and that we would be back at the hotel by 5:30 but the actual drop off was 7:30 pm as the drivers didn't even arrive to bring us back until 6pm. We had folks on medication and this was completely unacceptable. It was not until I mentioned contacting the credit card company to dispute charges that someone even attempted to get us back earlier. Before that they just kept screaming at us pick up is at 6pm there is nothing we can do even if you were told something else. The worst part is we were lied to - the schedule was set far in advance but they conveniently told us that we would make it back by 5:30 even though there was never an intention of doing that.

5/5 Highly Recommend…read more We booked two private tours with Absolute Adventures: first the Tulum Ruins, Swim with Turtles and Mexican Lunch on a Monday and then the Two Cenote and Mexican Lunch on Wednesday. For Tulum and Turtles our tour guide was Luis and our driver was Rodrigo. For the Cenotes, our tour guide was Arturo and our driver was Enrique. Both guides were exceptional and both drivers took good care of us. Booking online was simple and their communication about the tours, both confirming the tours before we left home and same day communication about pickup, was excellent. Our hotel turned out to be a headache about letting outside tour companies onto the property, and we ran into some real meet up issues because of it, but the team was super responsive and got it sorted quickly. It all worked out in the end, and honestly that kind of responsiveness under pressure told us a lot about how they run things. We started our Tulum tour early to beat the crowds and heat (highly recommend!). Luis guided us through Tulum and made sure we stayed hydrated the whole time, which matters more than people think when you're out in that heat. His knowledge of the area, the flora, the fauna, the history, was genuinely impressive, and he had this rare ability to be educational and entertaining at the same time without ever feeling like a lecture. At our turtle excursion he schlepped our gear and made sure we didn't forget anything, none of which was his job, he just did it because that's who he is. I was also practicing my broken Spanish throughout the trip, and Luis never once made me feel dumb or embarrassed when I got it wrong, which I really appreciated. For our next tour, Arturo took us to the cenotes. When he picked us up, he suggested we visit a different cenote than what we'd originally booked. I was a little skeptical, figured he just wanted a shorter drive. I was completely wrong. The cenote he picked instead allowed us to have two totally different types of experiences that we would have missed entirely otherwise, and I'm glad we trusted him. At Cenote Jaguar, Arturo gave our kids real time and space to jump and play, which ended up being a highlight of the whole trip for them. At Cenote Dos Ojos, claustrophobia was a real concern for us. But Arturo's tour through the caves was informative and calm enough that we felt genuinely safe the entire time. Between the logistics, the guides, and how they handled a hiccup that wasn't even their fault, these two tours were one of the best parts of our trip.

He was so knowledgeable and taught us so much about the area, the ruins, including a lot of info about Chichen Itza even though it wasn't on our tour. I learned a lot about the Mayan people and Aztecs. Unfortunately I underestimated my ability to handle the heat in the area but Eddy and our driver Rodrigo were amazing! I hung out in the shade so my husband could finish the tour, then Eddy got me out of the ruins so fast and back to Rodrigo. We had to cancel the cenote due to my heat exhaustion but they were so understanding and patient and got us back to our resort quickly. If ever in the area again I would absolutely try again and request Eddy as our tour guide!

Overall (TLDR): Small Scuba shop in Playa with some very nice staff and instructors who worked around my vacation schedule to accommodate me getting my AOW while still finding interesting enough dives that my fiance (who already has her AOW) could dive with us and not be bored. They took us on short notice and dealt seamlessly with Cozumel closing unexpectedly when we were supposed to dive there. Overall great service and learning for me at a reasonable price. They are my go to dive shop in Playa. The Story: I booked a week at an all inclusive resort in Maroma for the week of spring break and was playing with the idea of finally getting my AOW certification so that I could do some of the more challenging dives I hadn't had access to with just an Open Water certificate. I did a little research and most of the shops down there had few reviews and not a lot of information available. I ran across Mexico Blue Dream, and their website was helpful and gave me hope. I emailed a month before the trip and they responded quickly. Up until the time when we were about to leave, I was still debating taking time away from an all inclusive resort to get the Advanced cert. I called them the day before we were supposed to arrive, after about two weeks of hemming and hawing, and they fit us in. They arranged a two day dive schedule with 4 dives in Playa and then 3 dives in Cozumel. When we arrived at our hotel, we had trouble contacting the dive shop because evidently the phones around the shop went completely out, but luckily Camille emailed me with his personal cell number and everything worked out just fine. The shop itself isn't the easiest place to find as the address helps you find the block, but the address itself is not well marked on any of the buildings in the area. Best advice I can give you is to look for the big yellow door! We met Damien, our instructor/dive master who has to be one of the most kind and even keeled people around. He was patient in explaining what we were going to do and what we needed to achieve for the certification process. Our first dive was a wreck dive with tight quarters and some decent marine life to watch. I always felt at ease with Damien as he was attentive, without being overbearing, and adaptive to our skill levels throughout our dives. Our second dive was a drift dive and the third was about navigation and maneuvering underwater. I always felt comfortable and secure with Damien. Such a great instructor and person overall. The second day we were supposed to go to Cozumel, but when returned from our first day, we found out they closed docks due to high seas. We transitioned to diving some Cenotes instead for our second day, and those went off without a hitch just like the previous day. The view from the Cenote called "the Pit" was one of the more remarkable geologic formations I have experienced. The Good: Good prices. Great staff who was thorough and responsive. Cute little facility with everything we needed despite not being a large storefront/retail location. They knew their stuff and made me feel comfortable the whole time. Camille was helpful in the office making all the arrangements, and I couldn't have asked for a more zen and knowledgeable instructor than Damien. The Bad: Nothing. The Mediocre: finding the place the first time was a little nerve-wracking because I'm very type A when it comes to being on time, but it worked out just fine.

8/5/26 My family…read moreand I had a wonderful day trip to xcaret. We got the tour plus plan with the photo package. It included one buffet meal in that day. We took as many photos where all the camera eyes were which made the photo package super worth while. They don't look like much but the resolution and clarity is amazing. Especially when it captures you in the natural rivers. I originally planned to do two rivers but dang, after spending 1 hour floating in one, we were done for the day. One tip for your is bring some shampoo and body wash to use after the rivers. I didn't think to bring this and could only rinse off in the outdoor showers. Felt a tad bit icky all day. Lots of walking in our water shoes but enjoyed the butterfly sanctuary, jaguars, waterfalls and parrots. Lots of photo opportunities. Beautiful park. I now see why they charge you an arm And a leg. Gift shop was great. We spent about an hour in there and got some nice things. The night time show was two hours with a 10min intermission. I loved learning about the Mexican culture. All the dancing and music was beautiful. We had a lovely day here
