    Splash guard, anyone?
    Chet L.

This is a drinking establishment. And a dark and smokey one, even at 1pm in the afternoon. Takes a few minutes for the eyes to adjust, then you realize that a bunch of the locals are giving you the evil eye while using the other eye to check out the girl you've brought. Well, was brought by... I was there for a benefit. Why the stares? Suspious much? Or guilty much? Or hiding much? I didn't ask. Anyway, its dark, smokey, and don't ever, and I mean EVER, wash your hands in the men's room. See my attached Suggested Primary Photo. Parking's okay, drinks are okay, prices are okay. Were you wanting to get a little lovin' from one of the locals, you would probably not have to go far - I think most were from the nearby trailer park. Probably a good idea anyway, since I hear that the cops stake out the nearby median waiting for DUI tryouts. Not my cup of tea, I know it has a bit of a reputation as a dive bar. But so does JR's - I was there once yet was treated like a local. And I wasn't afraid to use the sink.

If you are a local, stop on by. This place is pretty cool. Kareoke is awesome, the bands are cool and the bartenders are really nice.

They offer different drink specials every night of the week along with the best local rock bands around on the weekends and they never have a cover charge.

Apple Maps struggled to provided proper directions to parking and it might be because the area is under construction so just give yourself time to find Loosey's especially if going for dinner. It sure is worth the effort though, especially if you get Matthew as your server. He is full of wit and great local knowledge. He charmed our table from our first encounter. Loosey's has to be a local favorite because the quality and freshness of the food is outstanding. Matthew is a local treasure and made our experience there so memorable and fun. We all remarked that it must be so electric there when live music is on stage or it's a Gator game day. We started with the loaded potato skins. There were 5 large pieces that were covered with toppings and delivered pipping hot. I could easily order that as a meal next time I'm in town. Their house ranch dipping sauce that is drizzled on top was delicious. Several in our group ordered the Chic-fil Loosey's, which is a buttermilk fried chicken sandwich, but I wasn't able to grab a photo as they were so eager to get started eating it. The portion of chicken breast was extremely large and the batter was perfectly crispy. Both diners exclaimed it was one of their all- time favorite chicken sandwiches they had ever eaten. Another diner took advantage of their wing special and exclaimed the Buffalo Garlic sauce was fantastic and she paired them with their ranch as well. She loved their added touch of the small paper basket topping the plate of wings for the bones. I had the Classic Beef Burger and it was cooked perfectly. There was a nice peppery flavor to the grill of the burger and the patty size was more than I expected. Especially for the price. I was so happy we found Loosey's. It was really good food. I encourage you to look past the construction mess and the "old wooden bar" stereotypes and trust me when o say, they take great pride on preparing high quality food.

To be honest it looks like a old pub but we were pleasantly surprised how great the food was. We started with the Kalbi burnt ends which were great with its kimchi mayo. Then we shared the Nashvillle hot chic-fil-loosey which was fried perfectly. The mac-n-cheese which was creamy and delicious and finally the enormous chili dog topped there pbr chili that has beef and smoked sausage. All in all we had a great experience and can't forget about there great draft beer menu!!!!

Let me start by saying I absolutely hate leaving bad reviews. I've worked in the service industry,…read moreboth bussing tables when I was younger and waitressing, so I'm very understanding. For me to leave a review this negative, the service truly had to be poor. Last night, we chose this place to celebrate my Irish heritage with a green beer and some light food. There is plenty of parking and outdoor seating, which is a plus. However, when we arrived, there was a line of people waiting for a table, and it quickly turned chaotic. One woman tried to cut the line, and another wanted to argue over a small booth that her family wouldn't have even fit in. Eventually, we were seated. I understand that holidays can be busy, so we were trying to be patient. Our waiter came over, dropped off menus, said "I'll be right back," and disappeared. After 25 minutes of waiting at the table, I had to flag down another waitress. Meanwhile, at least three tables that were seated after us already had drinks and had placed their food orders. I understand being busy, but at the very least, we should have been greeted or offered drinks. The waitress we flagged down said she would help us, which seemed promising at first, but then we waited another 20 minutes just for drinks. I'm not sure if it was an understaffing issue or something else, but the service was extremely poor. We considered leaving a one-star review, but the waitress did seem like she was trying. The food was okay, we ordered light items, and it still took quite a while to arrive. Overall, we would recommend skipping this place. There are plenty of other options in town that will treat you better. We work hard, and when we go out, we expect at least standard service.
