We visited this bar for the first time yesterday. It's such a vibe, the decor inside is so cute. It has an intimate vibe and is perfect for a place to meet up with your friends or for a date night. I love Kin Cocktail Bar. I stopped here with my boyfriend after dinner, and decided to try some of their drinks. He ordered one of their halloween specials and I ordered a drink from their happy hour menu! The drinks were a bit pricey (around $14-16 for a non-happy hour drink), but are worth it for how they craft it. Both our drinks were delicious and the presentation was great. The bar itself is a bit small so it could be hard to get seating if it's busy, but we stopped by at a pretty slow time so there were plenty of seats to choose from. And the bartenders + server were all wonderful and extremely nice! read more

Wearing shorts and a logo tshirt, I felt a lot underdressed at this fancy cocktail bar but it was early on a Saturday evening with a Gators match underway so they were happy for the custom. I was welcomed and suggested to sit where I liked so I took one of the booths along the wall towards the back. Comfy space and perfect for drinking with a nice view of the very full stocked bar. A small cozy little bar that had very good vibes. Bartenders were friendly and the space was cutely decorated and intimate. I liked that the music was a nice volume so that you could still vibe and chat without hearing difficulties. We ordered the purple satin sheets which tasted like a light fruit punch with a smidge of alcohol taste. Quite yummy and aesthetic. Also got the chocolate and orange tiramisu. Kin Bar is definitely a vibe. My friend and her co worker were in town and decided to meet up for a nice cocktail at Kin. It has a cozy and intimate vibe, with dimmed down lights but welcoming. We sat at the bar where our bartender host (forgot her name) but was so sweet and gave me gypsy boho energy especially with her outfit & aesthetic. Since it was happy hour, we ordered from their featured cocktail list. We both ordered a cosmo. It was very balanced, with hint of sweet and tart. The bar is overall so inviting and makes it great for friends to meet up and grab a cocktail. We ended with an espresso martini where the bartender mentioned he could make a cold foam since they do not have Bailey's to make the martini creamy. The cold foam added a hint of saltiness like a salted vanilla flavor but complemented the martini so well. Definitely get here early since there is limited seating inside and out. This bar is located a door down from Baby J's and Cry Baby's so it's great for bar hopping and grabbing a bite to eat. The vibes here are unmatched especially for this college town. read more

This place is such a vibe. Small but intimate and I like it. Long bar top with lots of chairs in addition to little cubbies behind them if you much rather sit across from your significant other or a friend. We came for their holiday drinks and I got the partridge. And together us girls because we love expresso martinis of course got one of those! The drinks were definitely hitting and on the stronger side but isn't that a great thing when you want to know it's not all juice and more liquor in what you're getting! My drink came with a little bird (representing a partridge and pear tree) very cute! Staff was awesome too as they chatted with us about the drinks and how they came up with the ideas/names! Kin is the newest edition to the craft cocktail scene in Gainesville. Located on Main Street, the space gives "cozy" a new meaning. If you're going on a busy Friday or Saturday night, expect to wait to get one of the limited seats. Once inside, their craft cocktail list is small but covers all the bases. The drinks lean on the extravagant side, which means they're more expensive than other bars in town. Honestly, for the ambiance, friendly bartenders, and bumping soundtrack (at least when I was there - although I was informed it was just a Spotify playlist), it's nice for a treat. I have heard that they have special seasonal menus as well, which tells me I will be back to Kin to check it out soon. read more

They pay tribute to bars and restaurants of Gainesville with their current menu, each option describes why they chose that particular cocktail and the inspiration. The drinks we tried so far were extremely original, and it seems like they have a lot of classic cocktails as well. I love the small booths they put into the wall across from the bar.
