For days i have tried to resolve this issue with this place. I haven't been able to speak with the owner but i need to. I was told that my tire that was removed so my new tire could be put on my car has disappeared. When i know it was there initially because the installer came to me and explained it was a directional tire and couldnt be put on the other side rear location. It was 6 months old and in great shape. i was told it wasn't there after they say they searched for it. to try and rectify the situation she gave me a 4 year old tire that's not even the same size as the rest of the tires on the car . Walked in to get a quote for new set of all terrain tires for my ram truck. They had one of the best pricings around compared to 7 other stoTipton & Shelby county but also offer rotation, tire repairs within the new tire purchase. They had knowledge of 4 tires i was looking out. Steven (not sure his title) really sealed the deal today with his suggestions, communication & checking balancing. They got the tires same day & installed in about 1:15 hrs. Very pleased. Definitely wasn't looking in buying tires today, but gave me a deal i couldn't pass up. Called Monday around 1:30 talked to receptionist Kayla or Kaliegh cant rember off hand. I explained what kind of tire i was looking for and wanted to see if they had a similar brand that wasn't as costly as my previous brand was. With in seconds she came back with a complete out the door price i agreed and she informed me they would be at the location by 8:30 the next day. Next moring at aproximately one hour before appointment she called to inform me they had arrived and said to come on in Service time was no longer than an hour to max hour and half with complet 4 tire removal replacement mounted ballanced and a full synthetic oil change added. This is my 5 th vehicle i have had serviced here and have the others serviced regular as well. The people are great and Staff is on point. as far as previous one star reviews well maybe you should try a little respect and understanding even ive had a couple of issues that came up but a call and explain the issue they was always understanding and asked to come back and corrected any issues with no problems. So i can say Munford Tire is and has been the best local owned establish ment with complete satifactory customer service every time read more

DO NOT GO HERE IF YOU HAVE A VOLKSWAGEN , I CAME IN WITH NEEDING A OIL CHANGE, left with a oil leak because they didnt properly put my oil seal on, messed up my oil sensor found out through VW GOSSET THEY TAPPED IT instead of FIXING IT PROPERLY . MY CHECK Engine Light came on after their second attempt to fix my car . and after leaving them now my car wont start . please save your time and avoid this business . I blew a brake line one morning on my way to Covington. I limped my truck into Covington hoping to start my day and also find a repair shop. No one could get it done since it was a Friday and pats for my old truck are not readily available. JD with TCAT suggested Munford Tire. I called Munford Tire, explained the issue and requested a repair. I was told to bring it in, which it really wasn't roadworthy at this point. Munford Tire suggested they tow it in. I agreed. By 12:30 PM their truck arrived. The cost was minimal for the ride to Munford. Once there I was advised they really don't go that in-depth on brake lines, but they would make the exception. By 5:30 PM I was back on the road with a fully functional brake system with a total cost (including tow) $312.00. Awesome job! The staff are upfront about their cost, concerns, and service which I appreciate. I'll definitely be back. Great service and great prices. read more

Last year I had to purchase a tire for my Malibu and were great. After the storms that blew through Sunday and the trees and power poles were covering the roads, I picked up a small screw and I took my car back to Munford tire and they patched it or plugged it for me quickly and were very nice. read more

Ever since they hired there new shop manager the service has taken a big hit. I used to use them a lot but now they are getting to where they are not interested in quality. Bought a half shaft for my son's 4wd truck. They used the old part and said they put a new one in. I watched them remove the old one but now are saying they did a different part. Charged 440 for the part and labor but the part is only 109. That does not make sense math wise when it took them 30 minutes to do it. I respect Jason but the shop manager I would not piss on to put the fire out burning him alive. May sound mean, but that's my experience. read more

For some reason, I took my vehicle for an estimate to a different repair shop last week. I sat there for 2 hours before being asked if I could bring it back at another time. I went to lunch beside Munford Tire and figured I'd walk over to see if they could me an estimate. About 10 minutes later, the manager was taking me home so I wouldn't be stuck there while they repaired my vehicle. I went and picked it up a couple hours later. Excellent service and work. Brought the vehicle in to support our local shops due to a loud grinding noise and a banging when my vehicle drives. A mechanic named Catfish took 4 hours to put brakes on that he said is what the problem was. I left and it was even worse and louder of a noise now. My wife hit the brakes and the grind was so bad she let off and hit a curb. We took it back and they didn't know what was wrong. Told us they shaved the brakes, and it would be ok. Sound was still horrible, and I took it back again. Now was told the calipers were frozen and I had to pay a lot more to them to get it fixed. So, I took it to another mechanic and found out it was a combination of 3 parts that were bad. He fixed it and all is perfect again. He said the brakes were never the problem and should never have been done. I called for a refund, and they said you can't have parts on that long and get a refund. Its only been this long because I kept coming back and you kept telling me to wait. This place is horrible and has zero customer service. The manager and a mechanic almost came to blows in a fight while I was up there and I knew I should have ran. Now I have to file against them in court because the brakes were never the problem. I deserve a refund for at least the horrible service. You can charge me for the pads but you're not stealing money from me. I don't know what happened to them but please go somewhere else. They should make this right but I have to waste time in court now. Sad. read more

My driver's side front axle was making some "unusual" noise when making turns and was looking for a local shop to investigate. Munford Tire had a lot of positive reviews so I hoped they would live up to their reviews. Let me tell you that they exceeded ALL expectations. Showed up about 20 minutes before they opened. I was number 7 car waiting. I thought this was going to be a long wait. About 10 minutes before opening a gentleman came out and starting organizing all the customers' issues based on arrival. A regular maestro of car repair. The shop had a full staff on a Saturday, impressive. Soon after their "official" opening time, my car disappeared and later re-appeared. The earlier individual told me the issues they fixed and recommended I take it for a spin to see if the concern was resolved. Problem resolved and the cost was SIGNIFICANTLY less than I expected. Munford Tire has a guaranteed customer and spokesman for them in me. Utilize them, you won't be disappointed. read more

FAST HONEST and FRIENDLY! Waiting room has a lot of seating but a tiny bit cramped. Went to the Chinese place next door instead for little less stranger eye contact. My husband asked about a lot of extra things we weren't sure if we needed, basically with all our concerns they could have just agreed and robbed us blind but they explained everything thoroughly and told us what we needed to know . For example: The % left on our brakes before replacement was needed, we were prepared to have them replaced that day but they let us know there was no need. Also checked our battery life as we weren't sure about that either. read more

On March 4, 2019 I bought 4 brand new tire and a front end alignment. By May the two front tire were showing steel. I went up and spoke with them and he walked away from me twice refusing to speak with me. told he I could take the car any where I wanted but they would do nothing. He did call me and offer to replace the tires and put a front end alignment on the car if I paid for it. He called again and said they would fix it for free. After he had lied to me, I did not feel you have my best interest at heart so I refused to go back. I WILL NEVER return to this company because I feel like they will cheat you. read more

Went to the Ford dealership in Millington and was told that I'd need to spend $250 for a new tire b/c of a nail, went to Munford Tire & Brake and they plugged it and filled it with nitrogen for free. they were super friendly and awesome! I won't be going anywhere else in the future. :) read more

Absolutely horrible service. I requested a quote to have 3 tires removed from old rims, placed on new rims, and a new tire I brought placed on a new rim. They attempted to charge $5 per tire for each valve stem. They tried to charge a total of $120 and were rude about the situation. I went down the road to Quality Tires in Munford and was charged $60 for the whole service to include putting my spare tire back under my truck. I'd highly suggest Quality Tire over Munford Tire and Brake and will not take my service back there under any circumstances. read more
