West Coast charged premium prices for poor-quality work and obvious corner-cutting. At the time, I didn't scrutinize the cost as closely since insurance was paying, but in hindsight the combination of overcharging and subpar workmanship is unacceptable--especially on a flood mitigation project. They installed LVP flooring throughout my home. Early on, their mistakes actually worked in my favor: they tore out the wrong tile and had to replace additional flooring at no cost to me. While this may have been partly due to Tactical Restoration's poor communication and lack of coordination, it still reflects a broader pattern of carelessness on the job. About two years after installation, the flooring began to cup and shift. I brought in multiple independent flooring contractors for repair estimates (around $1,500), and every one of them said the same thing--the floor was not installed correctly. There was inadequate expansion space, no transitions, and likely no vapor barrier, which is especially concerning given the flood-related nature of the work. Unfortunately, the issues surfaced just beyond the state's two-year warranty window, leaving me with no practical legal recourse. When I raised these concerns, I encountered deflection and avoidance rather than accountability. Tactical Restoration eventually acknowledged that corners had been cut, but claimed the steps they skipped were not "legally required" at the time. Regardless, manufacturer guidelines exist for a reason. I still tried to resolve the situation reasonably and asked for a fair quote to fix the problems and move on. The quote I received was $2,484--nearly $1,000 higher than every other contractor I consulted. Overall, the experience reflects poor workmanship, inflated pricing, and a lack of responsibility. I would not use West Coast Flooring again.

He installed different designs on half of the bathroom, then finished with another design on the other half. I'll explain: due to a very costly and stressful plumbing emergency in my house, I was left with massive chunks of removed flooring. Not only did he come out on a weekend (because I had no availability before then) to measure, give me a quote, make recommendations, etc. but he let me explain the situation with my homeowners insurance (a complete mess, a story for another time). He went out of his way to do a water damage inspection at absolutely no cost, went home, and wrote a detailed report that I could submit to my insurance. That was in NO WAY his responsibility, and I didn't even ask him if he could do that, but he empathized with my situation. On top of all that, I had made a mention to him about my construction background, so he offered me the opportunity to do all of the removal of old flooring, baseboard removal and replacing, which saved me a huge chunk of money. It honestly gave me a lot of hope in contractors and that they (at least, he) cares about people AT LEAST as much as he cares about the money. On top of all of that, he didn't want me having to spend money on storing all of my furniture off-site and having to live out of a short term rental (I have 6 pets that would have to come with us) he came up with multiple options that would help me financially. All of those options would create some form of inconvenience for him and his crew, but was more than willing to make adjustments for my benefit. All in all, he was readily available when I reached out with any questions, and he was on the site nearly every day to give me updates. The quality of work was everything I could have hoped it could be. Not to mention, I wanted some crazy custom tile that I saw on social media for my master bedroom, and he found where I could purchase it, how much it would cost, and his recommendations for different patterns that complimented my home. I am extremely and genuinely grateful for Seth, his ladies at the show room, and the gentleman who patiently showed us many different options that we were interested in. Brought my 2 year old Honda EU2200i generator which was still new in the original box for 2 recalls. Put an hour meter on it and added gas and oil for the first time and ran it for half an hour (.5) it ran perfect the full 30 minutes! I then took it to APD for the recall's after they had it for 10 day's, I got a call from Bill and he said that my brand new generator with (.5) of total run time needed the valves adjusted, fuel system flushed a new fuel filter and the carburetor rebuilt and said it needed the oil change and said they could do all of this for the work for only $275.00 at that point I discussed all of the above details with Bill he said that there's no way that his tech would have suggested all of the above work if it wasn't needed. I again told him the details above about it having oil and gas for the first time and it ran perfect for 30 minutes just to do the recalls only, he got very upset and asked if I was calling him a liar and I reiterated there is no way it could need all of this work done with gas and oil being put in the generator for the first time the day before. Now the most upsetting part of the story after them having my generator another 3 weeks, so 4 weeks total. Got a call from Bill and said to come and pick up my generator that the recall's had been completed, you could tell he was still upset that he didn't up sale me to the tune of $275.00 and now the grand finale I brought the generator home it took 10 pulls to get it started and now it won't idle without the choke on and dies if you put it in eco mode and to add insult to injury when I called Bill back and told him that it won't even idle now, his response was see I told you that it needed the carburetor rebuilt and the valves adjusted and the fuel system cleaned out. This could be the poorest Customer Service I have ever received from a company after spending tens of thousands of dollars with this company over the last 15 years they're willing to lose my business over a $275 up-charge and now they have sabotaged my $1200 Honda EU 2200i generator and he said they would not work on it since they hadn't done any service on it !!!
