The office itself is beautiful--bright, clean, and thoughtfully designed, from the waiting area to each patient room. But what really makes Summit Dentistry exceptional is the people. The entire team is friendly, skilled, and compassionate. Every single visit over the years has been a positive experience. The technology they use is advanced, and the hygienists always take the time to explain what they're doing, making every appointment feel professional and comforting. What stands out the most to me is Dr. Salem's incredible attention to detail, intelligence, and kindness. He's not only an expert in his field, but also a genuinely good person who truly cares about his patients. A few years ago, I moved away for a time and wore braces for seven long years throughout high school. I was so self-conscious that I barely smiled--definitely never with my teeth. When I returned to Ohio before my senior year, I still had braces and felt defeated. That's when Dr. Salem stepped in. At my first appointment back, with the help of my dad, Dr. Salem removed my braces and restored my confidence with beautifully done crowns. I had bad dental experiences as a child and really hated going to the dentist. My dentist retired so I had to find a new dentist. He referred me to Dr. Bob, a.k.a. Dr. Robert Brandhorst, he's soft-spoken, tender, gentle, etc. he has a very calming effect. I haven't run into any staff there that I don't like. They all seem to take on the same temperament as Dr. Bob. They have a new woman dentist here. I can't recall her name but I did get a crown put on by her a couple of months ago. She was super efficient. I've had a few crowns in the past and usually they seem to take a long time and the molds are miserable to have done. between her and the tech they did a fast efficient job probably one of the best most efficient. Quick caps I've ever had put on. I highly recommend this dentist especially if you're fearful of a dentist. I love coming here to get my teeth cleaned. The woman that cleans my teeth again very similar to Dr. Bob super kind, super gentle and caring. They have this amazing ultrasonic water pic that they use instead of so much scraping. It takes all the color stains from coffee or tea off your teeth and it's very gentle. I'm so glad I found this place a several years ago with my dentist retired. One thing because they are so well liked it. Does take some time to get an appointment in but it's worth the wait. Once you're in just start scheduling your appointments a year out then you don't have to worry about getting in.

Doctor Then is the kind of dentist who I would (and have!) travel long distances to see. I've been…read moregoing to him since childhood, and even after moving out of state and changing insurance, I would still pay out of pocket to have my teeth cleaned and checked by him. He's just that good. He adopts a conservative approach to caring for your teeth, not undertaking a procedure unless it's truly absolutely necessary. For example, I recently went to another area dentist for a regular series of x-rays (because my insurance has changed and I'm no longer covered through Dr. Then), and was told I likely needed a root canal and a crown--a far more expensive procedure. After sufficiently freaking out, I went to Dr. Then for a second opinion, and he was able to fill the cavity rather than push me towards the more elaborate, pricey scenario. He will NOT try to up-sell you on work that you don't need done. He and his support staff are also incredibly kind and personable. Whether you are getting a cleaning or a cavity filled, you can be assured that the work will be done in the gentlest way possible. He always says that he doesn't like pain either, so why would he pass it on to his patients. His office is clean, simple, and welcoming. I've been to other dentists who have bells and whistles like TVs in each of the patient rooms, and elaborately decorated waiting rooms, yet the actual service they provide is far inferior to Dr. Then's. I have been in the expert care of Dr. Then and his staff for many years, and I enthusiastically recommend him.

On Friday, Dr Hudak prepped me for a crown, then used his connections to fast-track a visit to an endodontist to re-root an infected canal on another tooth. Sent the imprint to the lab over the weekend to make a crown, then on Monday I was in his chair again, to do cosmetics on the tooth that had the canal-work done, and install my new crown. Both Drs let me know what was going on step by step and followed up with calls to make sure I was ok. Despite the unpleasantness, I feel well handled.
