The reputation of its employees. When hearing about the company's behavior in recent years, and how they are handling certain situations, our families outlook is changed. They definitely DO NOT value FAMILY! I was so shocked by what they had done to one lady's family and her whole life. I am still very disappointed that they placed their own business on the line, involving themselves with personal issues they should be NO part of! Crazy how they have protected themselves and a certain employees on a pedestal. (makes others wonder what's really happening there) This isn't a fake review. It's real. Just like the family and children that are being bullied. Never in my life known any other company (small business at that), to go out of their way to make behaviors, and give no consequence whatsoever for the people who need them. I'm going to have to agree on the reviews when it comes to NOT being family oriented. I still don't understand why n what changed other than trying to cover up and hide the truth? Sept 2021 I hired Murleys to complete a $51,781.89 job entailing new kitchen cabinets, new carpet and refurbishing our current wood floors. They said it would be a 2-3 week job, it was 3-4 months. They ripped all of our baseboards off and tossed them (We're still missing baseboards). The carpet is bunching up and the number we were given nobody ever answers. The flooring they installed has broke or is separating especially near the stairs. We've called and actually gone in a few times but do not get anywhere. read more

We wanted to have our carpet removed and have plank vinyl installed in it's place. We stopped by Murley's and to talk about the process and services they offered and instantly were at ease about getting it going! Allie was so nice and helpful with deciding what kind of flooring to go with and walked us through every step. Very professional and was available for any concerns or questions throughout the install. We still have more rooms to have new flooring installed and Allie was so great that we are going to use Murley's again for that project. The installers were quick and did a wonderful job! Definitely happy with choosing Murley's for our new flooring and will recommend them to anyone I know that is looking for a new look!! Thank you Allie for being so wonderful! read more

1.5 years later, and I'm still angry every time I look at my floor. We had issues from the start with misquotes on cost, but to his credit, the owner eventually made things right for us (this is really the only reason I didn't write a review sooner). After that, it was like the fast food of floor installation. Our trim was supposed to be replaced but some pieces were thrown back on the wall with marks and dents and I had to pay someone to come retouch/repair it after the job was "completed" by the installer. A month or so after installation the floor separated and now we have three noticeable gaps in entryways. I've had other contractors come to look at how it can be fixed and they have no easy solutions. The person who installed the tile in the bathroom did a great job- but again the trim was thrown back up with tons of dents and dirt. I regret not pushing to get the job done to satisfaction, but by the end I was so over it and ready to have my house back to normal. $27k (+the cost of the retouch/repair from someone else) later, really disappointed in the results of everything but the tile floor. read more

Picked out samples and scheduled time to have the flooring measured 11/10/20 2pm. Took part of the day off work to get this done and Mike Bean the sales person didn't show up, didn't even call. He called the next afternoon about 4pm with a story about the secretary cancelling a double booked appointment and accidently deleting ours instead. Really...wouldn't you know when you showed up to the cancelled appointment and figured it out. Then at least call and say you won't make it. We then took the samples back to the store and Mr. Bean saw us come in, he seemed to be the only one in the store. We just left samples on the desk and left when we realized he had no intention of acknowledging us. I had heard good things about Murley's but we will take out business someplace else. Dave Murley is one of the best business people in the Tricities, and Murley's is a great place to get your floor coverings and tile. I'm a builder, and we do a pretty large volume of business with Murley's. Our experience is based on a large number of projects. First, Dave Murley cares. He is very involved and he thanks us for our business all of the time. He continues to earn our business by delivering amazing customer service and asking about products we would like to see and actually getting them in for us. We have had some emergency situations such as some carpet being stolen from a home right before closing, and Dave has stepped in and made things happen in an amazingly quick fashion. He has personally helped some of our folks by meeting them after hours or on a weekend when it was important. We have never had him not bend over backwards to deliver great service. Patty is also awesome. She is very knowledgeable and also works hard to deliver great customer service. If there is ever even a minor hiccup, Dave is involved and making sure things get taken care of, and that everyone is happy. Their pricing is very fair, and their selection is very large, and constantly changing and staying current. It's not a big ugly warehouse that you are left to wonder through by yourself. It's warm and inviting, with a lot of selection and help. Dave and Patty both know their products inside and out and can help people make wise decisions based on their needs and desires. As a builder we have floor covering and tile places trying to get our business on a regular basis. We have no interest because we know exactly what to expect from Murley's and there is no reason to change. They are truly the best of the best and I can't recommend them highly enough. read more

They installed carpet etc. in my new home three years ago. It was very poorly done. Within one year the carpet in the hallways needed stretching. Now at year three the entire house does. This summer I called four or five times to try to get someone out to fix it and they never would. I wasn't even demanding that they pay to fix it, even though I feel like they should since this is clearly an installation issue. I've had carpet installed in homes before and I've never seen anything like this. I cannot recommend this place. read more

Great customer service with the best product around. Patty, was very attentive, displayed vast product knowledge, and made some great suggestions which shows how honest and expert this staff is. Plus I was in there with my 3 year old and he was really happy to have a balloon and be welcomed by their friendly staff. It's nice to have a business not judge you by your rambunctious toddler and treat you and your family like one of their own. Highly Recommended!!! So happy with the service... proposed price was exactly on target, personal visits through out installation process. Installation team was top notch.. S&J Flooring -- meticulous attention to detail, on time and on schedule, and nice people to boot ! I had some challenging trim and corner issues-- result of me and my not so great DYI skills, but these guys put it back together perfectly ! I gave it one star because I could not post my review without choosing the number of stars. I would have given it zero star if I could have. The absolute worst in customer care and satisfaction. I bought top of the line carpet. When the seams started separating after only 8 months, it became impossible to get a quality fix. The product manufacture determined it was defective product, and that it should be replaced. After 8 1/2 months of hounding Murley's I finally have much less plush carpet with a substandard installation, so my carpet looks worse, and the seam is still obvious. DO NOT patronize this establishment if you want quality and service for your money. A side note, the initial installation cost 25% more than the high estimate at the time of ordering. read more
