I come about once a month/once every two months. They are clearly listening to customer feedback. Favorite jamaican food in ma which is hard to find but this is such a treat. Excellent goat curry, jerk chicken mac and pretty good patties (prefer the chicken over the beef, but they run out quick so get there early!). My biggest issue is the service. I see this with a few Jamaican spots, but given the prices and sometimes wait, I think they could do a better job of not making folks seem like a bother when they're just trying to get some food. Um WOW. This was incredible. One of the best tasting meals I've had in a while. This option just came up on one of the delivery apps and I decided to try it out. Got the jerk Mac and cheese, chicken patty, side of plantains, stew chicken with rice and peas and veggies. The Mac and cheese blew our mind and also had steam coming out of our ears. That is spicyyyy. The chicken patty was stuffed with minced chicken, a little unexpected, but tasty nonetheless. Good ratio of outer covering to inner filling. The plantains were sweet and caramelized (and went so well with the Mac and cheese). The stew chicken plate including the rice and peas and the veggies were delicious too. Chicken was well cooked, the rice was flavorful and so were the mixed veggies (I mean how was it this tasty?! I could not figure out their secret!). As other yelpers have mentioned, a little more sauce with the chicken would be nice cuz the chicken was almost like grilled chicken vs a stew. The food arrived rather quickly after we placed our order. My only complaint would be that they served the food in styrofoam containers one of which opened in the plastic bag and spilled all over, which was unfortunate. The pasta came out quick despite them being very busy. The building itself is pretty small and not meant to be a sit down experience. The cashier was kind and patient. We came in just for the mac and cheese but I also got a side of jerk chicken which was amazing. I finished both things within like 15 minutes and felt healthily satiated. The macaroni was flavorful, creamy, and cheesy. The price is also amazing for the serving size that you recieve. 10/10 experience, will definitely be going back more often when I'm in Boston. read more

3.5/5 I went to their late night food truck Ordered the oxtail and rice plate with a side of their chicken wings. The rice wasn't great to me so I didn't eat it and the oxtail was okay but was really salty. The cabbage was great !!! Next time I'd get a cabbage and oxtail plate only. Their chicken wings were the BOMB! If I go back it would be for the wings. Seasoned well and tasted fresh and worth the wait. I think the price I paid for the oxtail on a food truck wasn't worth it for how it tasted but the wings which is why I'd give a 3.5 star. Workers were nice so that was a plus. read more

So good! I got my food through DoorDash, and I'd love to actually go to the restaurant some time! Despite ordering delivery, and the food coming from some distance, it was very hot when it arrived. I ordered the jerk chicken Rasta Pasta with fettuccine (wish I took a picture, but I was so hungry I just dug right in). It was delicious and a huge serving that will make for *at least* two meals, if not three (eating more of it for lunch today). Everything tasted fresh from the chicken to the pasta to the bell peppers. The sauce was delicious with a tiny bit of spice but nothing at all intense (I like spicy, spicy). Absolutely delicious. Solid Jamaican spot! We tried the brown stew chicken, oxtails, and jerk mac n cheese. Both the chicken and the oxtail were super tender and flavorful. The rice and beans were perfectly cooked and bursting with flavor too. My one complaint is that I wish the brown stew chicken had more sauce for the rice to soak up. The jerk mac n cheese was creamy and had good spices, it reminded me of Cajun pasta. This place is takeout only and I would highly recommend ordering ahead of time and picking it up. My favorites are the jerk mac & cheese, regular mac & cheese, jerk chicken, plantains, beef patties, stewed chicken, rice & even their mixed veggies are a big hit. Food is OK but the place is a disaster. We drove a half an hour to get there to pick up our order. While waiting outside, we were told they don't have jerk chicken. They don't have vegetables. They can't fulfill our order. They waited until we got here to tell us. How can you run out of jerk chicken?. Murls is consistently consistent. I normally go here for oxtail mac & cheese and your regular average beef patty. I go maybe once every 3-4 weeks and I promise you every time I go the food is fresh, amazing, and flavorful. Sometimes you might have to wait a little bit to get the food but hey, the flavor and taste is worth it. I recommend going not during rush-hour and if you want the oxtail mac & cheese, I recommend you go before they sell out because they always always sell out. So everything was great per usual, patties on point. However ... I don't know if they changed the cheese they use in the oxtail and jerk Mac but it does not taste like it usually does. This is the second time I've got the oxtail mac and cheese and it tasted sour. I give 4 stars out of respect to the past times and my admiration for the great food that comes out of their kitchen. Went here for a quick stop while heading to Boston. Was really in the mood to try some authentic Jamaican food. The shop is pretty tiny with the only option being take out. Out of the curry chicken and jerk chicken plate. I would recommend the curry plate. The rice was average in my opinion and the chicken was decent. The jerk chicken tasted like there was a particular seasoning that was completely dumped on the chicken. This made that chicken dry and unpleasant to eat. The plantains were good on the side. I ordered a small oxtail plate and received 3 oxtails. I called thinking it was a mistake and the woman on the phone confirmed that a small comes with 3 oxtails, a medium comes with 4 and a large comes with 5. Never in my life have I received 3 oxtails when ordering an oxtail plate, no matter the size. This is completely unacceptable and for that reason, I will not return. I know the price of oxtails has gone up drastically but it feels like Murl's is trying to stick it to their customers so they can pocket more money. That is not how you do business. read more

Pass by this spot frequently however, today was the day I stopped in only to find a hidden gem. The place from the outside doesn't do just to the bright walls and smell of flavors inside. I was happy to have others with me so I could get a taste of a few things here and boy I was pleased. The 1st time I tried Murl's, I knew I had to have my Fam try it too since they never eat Jamaican cuisine from restaurants or from anybody that is not related to us. Tried it for the first time recently and it was super delicious. I really wanted a beef patty however they ran out. The woman who called to inform us was really nonchalant and told us we could not get anything on the menu for the price of the Pattie's aside from drinks. It just came off real snobbish. Other than that, the salmon was super good as well as the stew chicken plate. The mac & cheese jerk, we could have went without. The appearance was really nice but there was no jerk, super spicy and the taste was just bland. We will definitely be back though to try different plates. They are worth it. read more
