Wow! Simply amazing!! I don't think this is my first time eating Caribbean cuisine, but it has certainly been awhile! And I've only found out about this place on Yelp, so go Yelp!! The food was simply amazing! I've ordered takeout twice, and both didn't disappoint! My go-to will have to be the fried pork. I will need to come back on other days to try other items on the menu! Love the rotational menu! Absolutely genius idea because I will be back again soon. The portion is generous and also filling. It may seem moderate when you first take out of the box, but it gets you full very quickly. The first time I ordered a bunch of sides and it was just too much. The second time I sticker with the entrees, there were still a lot of leftovers! The veggie soup was very delicious! Baked chicken was also amazing! There is free street parking right outside, so make it convenient to grab your to go order. Both times the packaging was great, except a small sauce packet leakage the second time around. The griot was good too (not always my favorite as I am anti-gristle/fat). The meal came with beans and fried plantains as well as a pickled cabbage and extra savory sauce. The food is authentic and delicious! You won't be disappointed. I had the Griot. It was moist and delicious with the sauce/gravy they give you. The rice, the rice, the rice. I could taste the seasonings like clove which is authentic and they give you a large portion. The plantains were sweet and plentiful. We also got the Calalou. The main owner, Ersy is so great. So friendy and personable. She is able to accomodate my gluten sensitivity without a problem. You get so much tasty food for the price, it lasts a few meals in my household. It is the best goat and sauce I have ever had. No tiny chards of bone to worry about as you might get in Jamiaca. I would highly recommend the whole fish option for a real treat. Just peel it carefully off the bones and use the bones for fish stock if you are really resourceful.
