I've not had the need to consult Dr Murphy yet but a close friend referred me here because she was happy with the surgery she had done by Dr Murphy. I've been going to his office for facial laser treatments for 2 years. Previous laser tech was wonderful, caring, knowledgeable. She has since left the practice and I met Molly today for my annual laser touchup. I am so impressed with Molly's skill and professionalism! I am an RN and her care was very thorough and nurse-like! Her aesthetician training was in evidence with the pre- and post-treatment support she provided. As I'd never had laser treatments in the past I had nothing to compare to, but Molly gets it right. I witnessed her planning, assessment, action, reassessment...proper skin prep before, full aftercare with products she put into little containers to send home with me, detailed instructions. I don't know where to start but Reno is so lucky to have such talent from Dr Murphy. He took on a highly complex surgery which he said was one of his most challenging breast augmentations and I look as though none of those complications ever happened. I must say that I am quite happy with this Practice for multiple reasons. I needed to have my ear holes stitched. Dr. Murphy made me feel comfortable and was quite Professional. He performed the surgery quite well as I barely felt a thing and the healing process went well. I also appreciated the communication. His Assistant did an excellent job removing the stitches as I was under no pain whatsoever. The front desk Secretary was Professional and friendly; which made me feel comfortable upon entering the building. For more than a year, I have been visiting the office of Dr. Murphy for eyelashes. It is a relief that I did not invest in surgery after reading the reviews here. It is unfortunate that Mrs. King is located in this facility, as she does an excellent job applying lashes. Since she will be the one to suffer the consequences of losing clients. I'm not sure what is wrong with the staff (Meghan) at the counter but in the year that I've been going there, my appointment has been canceled on four separate times without a 48 hour notice. This is very disappointing when it's a Friday and you have a three day weekend full of events and no eyelashes on one side. What I find even more unfortunate is they insist that I pay a $65 fee if I try and change my appointment without 48 hours notice (which yes, I've had to do many times, but usually with 24 hours notice. Unfortunately they don't think they need to compensate when they cancel two hours in advance.. also having staff that will treat others with professionalism would be helpful for your entire office. Are they unaware there are other salons in the area? Not sure at this point, but guessing I'm going to get one of those letters stating they've been in business for 22 years and blah blah blah. read more

Having two kids and weight loss ended up doing a number on my lady bits. Finally after completing my six week transformation and getting in shape at Nevada Transformation Center I decided I would finally do it. At the ripe old age of 42 I decided to get the ladies a new gig. One of my closest friends is a doctor and she went to Murphy to have her work done. I am so glad she did the leg work for me and I ended up coming here. Dr. M is very friendly and warm. His staff is professional and kind. I was able to get in to see him in a timely manner and schedule my surgery easily. It was all quite a breeze to be honest. Albeit an expensive breeze but I couldn't be happier. The follow up care is very thorough and included in the price. I had a major overhaul so my project was more expensive than other patients may be. I was referred to Dr, Murphy by my sister in law. She sang his praises and coming from her (let's just say she is EXtremely picky ;) that says A LOT! She was willing to travel nearly 7 hours round trip to see him..and for me the journey was much the same. But hey, when you are talking about your face and body that is time well spent. I am thrilled with the results Dr, Murphy was able to obtain with my tummy. I had a horrible vertical scar from a C-section 20 years ago. He was able to bring the scar down and now I am bikini ready. Cabo here I come!! I have also had facial filler injected by Tracy,,his beautiful wife and RN. The experience was pain free! YAY!! I mean, I nearly fell asleep I was so relaxed! I have been going to Jeri at Murphy Plastic Surgery for a few years now. Jeri is extremely knowledgeable when it comes to all of the treatments offered, in particular, laser procedures. I started coming here to have a tattoo removed. Soon after, I continued on with other laser treatments. The picosure facial is one of my favorites. I find Jeri to be very cautious yet aggressive enough to always leave with great results. Let's start here. I got my breast implants about 6 years back. Dr. Murphy had to go in twice, re do the surgery, because he underestimated how muscular I was and they still didn't drop and fall into place the second time. I literally look like I have two bags and a flap of skin over them. I'm embarrassed, my nipples are super low, if i push on anything the implant jumps up and i look like i have saggy boobs and pecs... actually people tell me i have nice pecs, not soft, nice boobs. I actually think I've been more self conscious since getting them done then I was without implants. There's something not right and I condone anyone, especially women with muscle... do not go here. I wish I could take it back. The reason I waited so long to review is because I honestly thought they would actually take shape one day and here I am, years later... especially of late, wondering if they even brought on more health problems. I had a traumatic event occur on vacation in mammoth. A buddy of mine slammed my thumb in the car door severing my thumb while in the middle of nowhere. I had to be helicoptered to reno for emergency surgery. So glad i got Dr. Murphy for surgery. He took extra time he didnt need to to explain to me what he was going to do. Had to share my experience Dr Murphy is an amazing plastic surgeon he went beyond my expectations. Im going to call myself unfortunate of botched liposuction and it can be devastating. As soon as I was able to try and get it revised I went on a mission to meet with a number of surgeons in Reno area... I had even booked an appointment with A one of the best plastic surgeons in Beverly Hills which was scheduled for October of this year. But I figured I'd research surgeons in my area since I had time I wanted to do my homework second time around. I met with very good surgeons and some that weren't so good or soo I believed. I was rating them as this one is better than the other I met and who showed me the most pictures similar to my case, the way they evaluated me and how difficult the challenge seemed to them and their attention to detail. One surgeon said yes I can do that but u know it's not clay lol mmm oks. I walked in to Dr Murphy's and I Knew he was the one who could do this , he was the one the only one really who showed me pictures of somewhat similar procedures he had done. He was the only one who pointed out other details that were within the area and would only help improve my results. He explained how revision liposuction is indeed difficult and with fat transfers it's really uncertain what fat establishes blood supply which I already knew.. I had my procedure done with him and although it's still fairly too soon to tell what fat stays I love everything about my procedure.. Thank you doctor Murphy You change lifes for the positive lol I can't stop snapping selfies love my body. Dr Murphy and his front office staff we great and I would give a better review if based just on them. However, Megan, the accounts manager was HORRIBLE to deal with! I had a consult with Dr. Murphy and decided to have my proceedures done by him. When I was setting it up with Megan, she found that my insurance doesn't cover RENOWN and so I would have to pay for the insurance portion that wouldn't be covered and worked up a number for me. It was $3000 more than the original number and put it out of my budget, which I told her. She then, very rudely replied, "It's ONLY $3000!" She doesn't know my financial status and shouldn't put her values on me! I was completely turned off at that point and wish anyone who has to deal with this Megan, luck...lots of luck! Nothing about her is genuine except her crap attitude and poor people skills. read more

I feel the need to reach out to other local people that live in a small town, still practicing old school techniques. I have been to Dr. Murphy's office twice to have lip injections done. The first time was underwhelming. I felt hurried as I had been scheduled late in the afternoon. I arrived at 4:00 pm. I was greeted by a nice young girl, she showed me some pictures (not of this clinic's work). The young lady shared with me that Dr. Murphy's wife would be doing the injections. An older woman walked out ,leading me to the back room where she asked me to lay down on the table. This older woman gave me two shot's under my upper lip. I asked Mrs. Murphy what type of filler she would be using (as I had never done this before), she explained to me she would be using Juviderm due to the fact it lasted longer and had a softer feel to it. Mrs. Murphy quickly injected two shots into my top lip and one large shot into my bottom lip. At no point did she ever ask me what I wanted them to look like, or tell me to rub the injections to the shape I liked. I left feeling very confused. I live in Tahoe and had plenty of time driving, looking at the three large bumps she had injected into my lips. I pulled over for about a half an hour to massage these huge lumps in myself. I did this for a week or two. After the filler started to wear out of my lips I liked the extra fullness. If I would not have taken the time to massage my own lip's into shape it looked like I had been punched in the lips. At the time of these injections Mrs. Murphy informed me the filler in my lips would last about a year. A few month's later (maybe 3 or 4) I could feel all the filler had been rubbed out due to trying to make these three bumps blend in. I called Mr. Murphy's office again and explained what had happened. I was given another appointment. Again I was scheduled for 4:00 pm. Mrs Murphy and I went into the back room.I felt even more rushed than the first time. I already have very large lips, I only wanted a little more volume in the lip section, not the border. As Mrs. Murphy was again pressed for time she did not listen to one word I said and began injecting almost a full syringe into my to top right lip. I saw the syringe was almost empty and she had only done 1/4 of my lips. I grabbed a mirror and started to cry. I looked like Bart Simpson. Mrs. Murphy panicked when she saw what she had done, she started grabbing other syringes and injecting my lips everywhere. At one point my top lip was so big you could not see my bottom lip or my teeth. I had been there for over an hour and Mrs. Murphy was continuing to make my top lip bigger to the point you could not even see my teeth. During the hour or more she worked on me the anesthesia had worn of and she became increasing more angry as I flinched when she injected me. It finally got so bad I was hysterical about my top lip. Mrs. Murphy offered to shoot an enzyme in my lips that "may" dissolve the filler, however she made it very clear she had never done this before and did not think it would work. Needless to say I left. On the way out the door she handed me a large bag of pill's she said for the bruising. By the time I was back home my lips were so black and blue I looked like I had been beat up. One side had much more filler than the other(and still does). When my children saw me they thought I had a stroke. Within a few days of this nightmare Dr. Murphy and his staff began calling my house almost daily. I informed Mr. Murphy of what had happened (apparently he was aware or would not have been calling me). During my office visit Mrs. Murphy asked me if I was on any medications, I shared with her I used Medical Marijuana for a broken back. During the phone call with Mr. Murphy he asked me if " I was so stoned I could not figure out which way to turn my head?". I informed the Dr. I was a medical mj patient also informing him this was discrimination. At this point they offered to refund my money but only if I would be willing to visit their office again (also sending a letter to my home offering a refund) as they were well aware his wife had severely deformed me. About a week later I received a threatening letter from their secretary quoting Nevada law. The secretary must have been acting as their Attorney that day. At this point I had been insulted, injured and discriminated against. The last thing I was going to do was step one foot in this establishment again. I have missed work, family functions and just life in general. I am still unable to see my top teeth as my lip is so over sized, also I still have part of my face that is numb from the "two" numbing injections she gave me . I am in contact with a lawyer. Any one who is thinking about using this clinic should think twice or just look over their photo gallery.I'm sure you will find someone more talented and compassionate than this practice. Dr. Murphy is the best plastic surgeon in the West! I had a "mommy makeover" over 10 years ago with an out of state physician which ended in a horrible outcome. For years I wanted to fix what was done to me but due to financial issues and the fear and untrust in physicians I felt, I haven't tried to fix my body until now. I consulted with a dozen surgeons throughout CA, NV, UT and CO before I decided on Dr. Murphy; I didn't want to take any chances this time around. Not only was Dr. Murphy super personable and easy to talk to, he was the only physician that I felt cared about what happened to me and understood what needed to be fixed. I'm now a little over 3 months out from my mommy makeover revision and am so happy with the results. He didn't have a lot of great stuff to work with, so the fact that my results make me feel like a normal woman again I am so grateful.
