Decided to give this location a shot on a Saturday afternoon. They were not busy so it was easy to get in and order. There were many different options that should take care of most people's tastes. I tried the classic cheesesteak 8" with fries. Also had the chicken cheesesteak on fries. Food was hot and quick. The flavor was good. Not a huge fan of their 'special mayo', but that is just a preference issue, not about quality. The sandwich is huge, even being the smaller option. Fries were top notch being both crisp and tasty. My one area to call out regarding the location. The food is EXPENSIVE! Our order from above including a regular drink was $34.60! That is lot of money for amount of food. They have two fancy self-order kiosks that are getting no use. I'm sure those are not cheap. So overall, great food and nice people, but man, big dent on the wallet. read more

This is such a great local restaurant to support. We met the owner and he was super kind, and the receptionist was also kind as well! Their fries and jalapeño dipping sauce is to die for. When a place has a 5 star rating, you're going to have high expectations. I can't blame people for giving it a good review when there aren't a lot of non-chain places around that make fresh food, but I wouldn't say this was the best food I've ever had. The cheesesteaks were good. The fries were better. I like spicy food, but the cherry peppers (extra $.50, on top of the $17.50 for the meal) on the Philly Philly steak made it inedible. The mozzarella sticks were very good, but they make you pay for sauce. I agree with others who complained about the extra cost for sauce. It seems like everything costs extra. They even make you pay the surcharge for using a credit card (4%), but don't give you advance notice so you have no choice. I may go back to try a burger, but it will have to wait until I payoff the loan I had to take out to eat there this time. read more

I had the Traditional Cheese Steak sandwich (think Philly) and it was easily one of the best I've had. One of the folks with me had the BBQ Burger and told me it was most excellent! The fries and tots were perfectly done with a nice crunch before reaching the insides. The family is beautifully maintained with a relaxing family friendly atmosphere. Came here for the first time on a Wednesday evening. Walk ins available. I ordered two 12" cheesesteaks and 1 order of the cheesesteak fries. The total came out to $50. The cheesesteaks were good, but not $18 good. I feel like they're kind of overpriced. Maybe $14-15 would have been reasonable. The cheesesteak fries were pretty good, but nothing mindblowing. The portions were enough for 2 people to share, but $10 was kind of pushing the upper end of it. I wish they had more fries options other than just cheesesteak or regular fries. There was ample parking and the location was easy to find. Staff was nice. I probably won't be coming back again simply because of how pricey their menu is. Read the very positive reviews on the cheesesteak so was looking forward to trying it out. It's on the more refined end of the cheesesteak spectrum and tastes good but is not down and dirty good. The meat has decent flavor to it but not as much pronounced as say a DP cheesesteak. I personally like it better than Moochies which I would say has a bit of a chain shop taste to it. If you're looking for a clean tasting cheesesteak this may be for you. I'll keep it in mind whenever I feel like variety in a cheesesteak but won't be my first choice when I get a hankering. Let's get one thing straight here, the cheesesteaks are great. Plenty of quality ingredients in the sandwich. Delicious, and tastes authentic, the best I've had in the valley. I know what you're thinking, "Why 2 start then? " The price for what you get, and the experience that comes with that is absurd. Upcharges for everything, to upgrade from fry to an onion ring is 5 bucks upgrade, with a drink... that's almost ten bucks. Ten dollars for a combo, not the sandwich itself. I couldn't find that information on the menu. Is it on there? Maybe? But it's not easy to find. I looked before ordering. I couldn't find it. Then .75 cents for each fry sauce not mentioned when ordering or easily found, and an unmentioned credit card surcharge of 4% not mentioned. We all know that fries and onion rings are cheap in comparison to steak. So why entirely overcharge for them but your high-cost items like cheese steaks are market price or not a bit higher? It leads to a terrible customer experience. Keep in mind, this is a fast-casual go-get-your-own-drink type of place. It's not a sit-down restaurant, so if you're thinking about factoring in the cost of service keep this in mind. I don't mind paying for higher quality. I do mind feeling treated like a sucker and a cash grab. I went on vacation to Martha's Vineyard this summer and these prices are on par or slightly higher than on the island. the difference was, I knew what I was getting, and how much it was going to cost. As a local spot, I don't see this as an effective way to build a loyal customer base. The acquisition of a new customer vs. a returning one is multiple higher. I hope that they can get the customer experience fixed. If they can, I'd be happy to come back as I loved their Philly cheese steak. read more

The food was good but the service was horrid. Waited 10+ minutes to place order, 20+ minutes for the food. Ordered tater tots w meal which cashier failed to post. Ordered ice tea (2) and paid $6.65 for these. When I requested a refund on the ice teas and said I wanted water given they did not actually have ice tea in the ice tea machine but other drinks like -C. The manager/owner requested the cups with ice back..then he changed his mind. We just wanted water. When this tater tot's issue was raised he made a scene, accused us of trying to get free food and free drinks then asked us to never come back. Incredibly offensive given both of these problems where errors by the cashier. Most importantly, to be accused of trying to get free food in a restaurant full of people was incredibly offensive. I have heard many people say they have the best cheese steak in Utah. Being a self-proclaimed cheese steak conisour, I decided I had to try it. I'm very picky when It comes to cheese steaks and rarely come across one that I would compare to those I used to eat in Philly back in the late 90's. These guys definitely compare. I would rank them with some of the better ones I have had. For me the biggest differentiator on a cheese steak is the bread. Their roll is crispy on the outside and soft in the middle. The perfect consistency in my opinion for a good cheese steak. I had the traditional and it was very good. We had Tater Tots and Onion Rings and both were top notch. They offer two fry sauces, a regular and a jalapeño. Both are good but I think I liked the jalapeño better. It isn't overly spicy. Just good flavor with a little bite to it. Okay, I dramatically declare that this is the best burger I have had in the Salt Lake Valley-period! My husband and I have been on a burger kick for a while, so this place seemed like a natural spot to try. We are regulars at places like Apollo Burger and the like, so we hoped to find a gem here. We were hoping it would live up to the reviews, and personally I feel like it did. I got the garlic burger and it was absolutely fabulous. The rest of our party all got different burgers except one philly cheese steak, and that was apparently delicious as well! The service was great and the food came out fast, but not so fast that it becomes worrisome that the food is frozen beforehand. The environment is relaxed and reminiscent of a sports bar but not nearly as loud or crowded. Who would have thought a great burger spot like this could be in Riverton, UT!
