When there was a hiccup, I was notified. My claim was handled by GEICO Instant Claim Service (which was also very streamlined and wasy) however, it took 18-days longer than what was estimated due to industry slow downs...GEICO covered every penny, including a rental car for the month. ZERO COST to me!!! Murphy's checked in with me with regular updates and fielded all of my calls with quick action and attention. The visits to the office always resulted in great conversation and coffee, smiles and pleasant exchange. DO NOT USE THIS PLACE FOR CAR REPAIRS!!! OMG!!! We were referred to Murphy's by our insurance company because our vehicle was in an accident. Oh my, where do we start.....? So, the "repairs" took FOREVER! First missing the whole intake system off the bmw , and after 3 months I had to call them and ask if the car was ready. Went back and still was missing the front part of intake of the bmw, that directs the air into the intake tube! After 6 months they never found it! I finally went and got the car to find that price on eBay and replace myself! There was an airbag light that came from the headrest and since bmw does not have that part new, the shop never fixed that! I had to sign off on a form and found that sensor from the junk yard and fixed myself! Mind you they never called and said that was the issue! I had to call them and after 1 year of them having the car, I was so done!! This is UNACCEPTABLE!!! Stop lying on your RESUME!!! It's clear that this is not a REPAIR shop. They are CATFISHING and making money from insurance companies. Insurance companies are shopping around for the best rates and are getting SCAMMED by businesses like Murphy's. Moral of the story... Murphys fixed my Mazda after it was involved in a rear end collision (I was rear ended). They took approx. a month to fix my car and provided little to no updates on the status or when it would be completed. I drove down there and spoke to the owner, she informed me that while it does take a while for them to repair it (lots has to do with waiting on the parts), that they repair it correctly. It's been close to a year now, the paint job they did and the repairs are not noticeable at all. The paint matches perfectly and the body work is excellent. I would trust them with my car again. If you choose Murphys for your body work, you can trust that they will do the job correctly and it will come out looking good as new. I recommend them for their body work, I just wish they'd keep in touch with updates better, however if the work comes out great, as my did, it doesn't matter in the long run. Good work is good work. P.S. Lots of reviews I'm reading here are highly negative because of the length of time the repairs take. I'd rather a body shop take their time and do it once and correct, then speed through it and do a sloppy job. I'd pick Murphy's again because of the quality of the work. They installed our trunk door crooked, replaced our rear light w an after market light that didnt match, & screwed up our electrical system. THEN upon getting our car back... cracked our fog light, didn't replace our emblem, and dented our rocker (all pics included). They denied causing the damage despite having the official Geico insurance pics taken in THEIR SHOP on day 1! They never get on the phone, never respond to emails, give crappy rental cars. sent my car here through geico. my car was a tow in from their sister company next door. (sisters towing) they didnt know my car was on the lot For days prior to even starting repairs. meanwhile the clock was ticking on my rental agreement through geico 2 days after my rental agreement up with geico.. they said my car be ready at 5pm but only after taking off of work and arrived at Murphy's, did they tell me that my car wasn't near ready and that they ordered the wrong parts. that itll take another few days to why the parts in, and amother few days of out of pocket money spent rental due to their mistakes. They agreed to take the money I spent in rentals off of my deductible. which was kind. but once I showed up with reciepts of how much I spent outside of geicos rental policy. they argued with me that it was $80 less. Eventually admitted to me being right and took it off of my deductable. a whole lot of unneeded stress added on to me during a already stressful time. I was directed here by GEICO after my 2008 Lexus IS 250 was hit on the side wheel well by a person backing out of a parking lot. Their insurance paid for the repairs, and my car looks good as new. They even polished up my yellowing headlights as long as they had to remove the front of the car. While it did take 4 days longer than initially estimated, that tends to be common with body shops since sometimes parts are delayed in coming in. Being able to rent a car from Enterprise, on-site, made this an easy 1-2-3 one-stop shop. Everyone was friendly, I received a few update calls as the repairs progressed, and all-in-all everything turned out great! God forbid someone else runs into me again, I know I would absolutely drop my car off at Murphy's because it's in good hands. read more

my experience with dealing with murphy's auto body in west palm beach, florida was a frustrating one! what drew me in was probably the same reason my experience with them was so unsatisfying! i saw a lot of vehicles waiting to be worked on at this location, but i didn't feel this would be a problem since my damage wasn't that great as seen by the photos below (could not post them) ! it also didn't help that they totally forgot that my truck was buried in the rear of their location for 1 whole week totally forgetting that they needed to finish my vehicle in a timely fashion! adding to this 5 week plight, they ordered the wrong bumper for my truck which i totally didn't understand since they are suppose to give the vin # of each vehicle to the company who provides the parts that they need! the first bumper they ordered had no holes for the sensors in the bumper and was way, way to short, which in my book was totally un-exceptable! on a positive note, after 5 excruciatingly painful weeks - i must credit them with what so far seems like a good job! in this case it is highly unusual for a customer to not meet the owner until well into the 2nd of the 5 weeks of pain! i don't usually like to write about these experiences, but due to the particular circumstances i felt it was highly necessary to share this with any/all who are considering using murphy's auto body! thank-you for your skilled body work, but i absolutely deplore your business practices as a whole - a shop can only be as good as it's owner/leader! read more

Took my SUV in to get worked on Recommended by my insurance company. I filled out their form they have boxes to check if the estimate is over a certain amount. I checked the box. My estimate was $1,750.00 and approved the work when I picked my vehicle up they handed me a bill for $2,450.00 . The manager told me his people didn't let him know and he was sorry. Something else bothered me my car was driven 462 miles while they had it for 8 days. They took pictures of everything including the odometer and when I picked my vehicle up I checked and 462 miles was driven while the car was in their possession. I Talked to the owner and got absolutely nowhere. Reported them to the Better Business Bureau but that's all I can do. Needless to say I am furious, and I would never recommend this place to anyone. The manager told me I was trying to Fleece her for money. I showed her the photographs and she had nothing to say. Poor management is all I can say. I worry a lot when it comes to my vehicle, so when the young lady at the front, Kaitlyn, offered to email me with updates when work was being started and finished, I was extremely happy. She answered all of my concerns in a timely manner VIA email, as well as even offered an estimate for other damages found on the vehicle. They sound great on the phone when speaking to Eleanore the owner but the girl who is at the desk and answers the phone can't seem to do anything. Always "will call you back" yet never does. Was assured after waiting just shy of a month for my drop off appt that the rental car would be here not to worry since I have three kids to transport yet it wasn't. I called in the morning to confirm my end of day appt and they had no idea couldn't find me by name or anything. Just seems really poorly run with terrible communication and organization. Today is day one, let's see how long it takes to actually get my car repaired. Now I wait for a shuttle service to get my rental that was promised to be on site . Three kids and three car seats makes for a nice long evening. Can't wait. This is my second time using them and the first time was fine which is why I came back but this is night and day I will never be back here. Not sure what two years can change but seems like A LOT. I brought my car here for an adjustment of the door striker. It was loose, so the door wasn't closing tight enough. When I explained the problem to the gal at the front desk, she looked at me like I was speaking Greek, but a body man was standing close by, & agreed to come look at my car. Currently sitting in the waiting room for approximately 30-45 mins. Second time back because they replaced a fog light that is now fogging up and producing condensation. When my vehicle was here originally after my accofent the removed the door panel and now I am left without out being able to adjust my side mirrors, defroster for the mirrors, open my trunk and I have to bring it back once again because they have to order another fog light. Waited for a while, and since RJ was busy with something else, left my email address and requested that the estimate be emailed to me. Three days later and 3 phone calls later, no estimate, and will not return calls. Waste of my time going there. I had told RJ I was not going to go through my Insurance Company, and it would be a self pay. That is probably the reason that he is not providing a estimate, because it is easier to rip off insurance companies. Terrible terrible experience dealing with this place. My daughter purchased a brand new car to travel back/forth to college. Unfortunately she was rear-ended. Estimated repair time was 1 week. Vehicle sat at their premises for 6 weeks. Always an issue and their responses, "it's on back order". No one was able to figure out what happened to the rear bumper that was ordered, excuses included: may have been left on the delivery truck, may have been stolen. After 6 weeks and finally told the car was ready, an employee said he would meet me to do a final inspection. Well he wasn't there when I arrived and no one knew what was going on. Upon my own visual inspection, the back reflector was missing. They never informed me of this issue. When I inquired, I was finally told it was on "back order". Oddly the left reflector wasn't on "back order". Another employee placed an order and it arrived 2 days later. Sent multiple emails and they never once responded. Do not take your car here! Very bad customer service! I was told that my car would be ready in a week(Friday) but on Wednesday two days before the expected day to pick up my car I get a call from my insurance company telling me it could take longer. Why didn't they call me and explain this to me? When I called on the following Monday I was told that my car should be ready Thursday or the latest Friday. ( A week later then promised) I called on Thursday to check if my car was ready and the lady I spoke to was extremely rude! She had the worst attitude ever and she also told me that something went wrong and that's why it was delayed. She told me that they would explain it to me when I picked up my car. Friday afternoon I finally received a call about my car and I was told it was ready. When I picked my car up no one explained anything to me and I just wanted to get out of there because I was so upset with how unprofessional this company was! They know that I was paying out of pocket for a rental and it's like they did not care or take that into consideration. I am going to let everyone I know NOT to go there for anything! Rude staff and unprofessional! I would never want anyone to go through what I did. I was told I would be updated with my car status and the only call I received was to pick it up. I did not have my car for two weeks and I was not updated once by this company. I hope they can get it together and treat other people the way they would want to be treated. I would not recommend Murphys to anyone wanting quality customer service and quality work done in a timely manner. This has been my worst experience at a body shop ever. Geico was my insurance and was covering everything because I have full coverage. First let me start off and say how great dustin the head guy of the shop is.He was great, but everyone else was stuckup and rude. Elanor, the owner took my truck in and sent it to a 4x4 shop in lake park to be fixed since I have a big f250.They let the truck sit for 12 days without even being touched. I called that shop to find out an update and the update was they cant touch the truck for a month. So i called murphys and asked them to send it to somewhere that can work on it since I have only 2 weeks of rental left. They sent it to another shop ( not my choice on any of them) an d they started fixing it. 43 days later my vehicle is done. I kindly asked the owner to work with me on rental charges or at least help me by meeting halfway. She claimed it was all my fault why the truck took so long and very rudly said she will not help me that shes not making money on my truck. She called geico and told them I was delaying the process to cover her ass. I am not sure how i can delay fixing a truck when im just waiting for it to be fixed.
