If you're looking for a doctor that goes above and beyond you find the right place. Because of my situation the doctor literally skipped bet lunch to make sure my broken tooth was fixed. I drr r I've a semi truck over the road and I was desperate to get this fixed, but understood it could take two separate appointments, but I was so overwhelmed by the kindness of this doctor and her staff that I've told all my family and friends about her and this team of amazing people. I'll be headed back in for my regular cleaning at the end of this month. I just can't rave enough about how well I was treated! read more

I have been coming to Murray Hill Dental for years now seeing Dr. Tran when I first started. I have been seeing Dr. Moseley for about 3-4 years. She is an exceptional dentist taking care of all my dental issues. I never have to worry about anything except for keeping my teeth clean and flossed - Dr. Moseley doesn't skip a beat staying on top of my dental issues. Plus, the office staff are outstanding (Andrea and Kris) at researching insurance coverage always keeping me updated before I arrive to my appointments. Andrea and Kris go out of their way to help me stay on top of scheduling working around my school schedule. I highly recommend Murray Hill Dental! There is One Dentist at this practice. Today I drove 25 minutes, during the work day, for my regular check up/xrays. When I was in the chair, the hygienist told me the dentist called in sick, and I wouldn't be seeing any dentist, that she would look at my X-rays and call me back tomorrow about them. I could have been called and told about this earlier in the day, I would have rescheduled. Hygienist was fine, but I don't go to the dentist to get a call back the next day. I'm leaving this office, too many other options that would never do this. 22 days later.. and no one has followed up with me about my experience. No one noticing I didn't get the X-rays I was suppose to have, absolutely no follow up. Wow. read more

I've always had a rough experience at the dentist until I started seeing Dr. Tran. Every time I have a filling (or in recent cases need a crown) I anticipate the worst pain and suffocating experience. When the time comes Dr. Tran is so efficient and precise I'm amazed at how well the treatment appointments go. Knowing I'm a chicken, Dr. Tran and her staff are proactive making sure suction is on-point (I have a lot of saliva) and setting me up with movie glasses so the appointment seems to move quickly. (I highly recommend movie glasses to anyone nervous during appointments.) I've worked with Dr. Tran for almost 7 years. And just so you know, no one asked me to write this review. DR. Tran has been my dentist since I was a little girl. I always knew that I was in great hands whenever I would go to her. I trusted and still trust her judgement when it comes to ANY dental work. Now my kids go to her. Yesterday, my son needed two cavities filled. Being only 6, I was a bit nervous for him to be on nitrous oxide.. but he did great! Dr. Tran and her assistant made my son feel comfortable with the fillings. He felt no pain and was good to go right after his appointment! Also, not only are those two great but everyone in the office is very friendly. There are magazines, snacks and beverages while you wait next to a cozy fireplace. Run Run Run! Nice folks but they gouge you as much as they can while you're completely unaware...until you receive your bill. Then, Surprise! They've upgraded their services without your permission . The people at Murrayhill Dental are nice and the location is great. They hygenists do a great job at cleaning my teeth. That said everytime I went in I felt as if they were always looking to upsell on dental work (filling the gaps in my teeth, whitening) etc... I went in for an exam and came out with an appointment for a crown...my tooth was chipped and they highly recommended that I get a crown. I did it based on their recommendation but in hindsight I wish I would have had a second opinion. Last time I went in they recommended I replace my fillings and also wanted to do some work to prevent what they thought might be a cavity...this is when I went to another dentist and got a second opinon. This other dentist was more into natural care and had the latest equipment to take a full head scan...this was able to show that I didn't have a cavity and that my teeth were just fine. Dr. Tran and her staff are nice but for my needs I was better off going elsewhere. read more

Dr. Tran has worked on my teeth for several years now, and I truly appreciate her services. She was able to accommodate me recently for some cosmetic work on several of my front teeth prior to my wedding, and I'm very grateful for it. Her hygienists are friendly and knowledgeable. Her office itself is comfortable and easy to find. It's right next to Cafe Murrayhill near the junction of Murray Blvd. and Scholls Ferry Road. I really can't say enough about Dr. Tran and her staff. I have been going to this dentist for four years now and have gotten great service and care. I can't imagine how an office could be any more courteous or friendly than they are, from the front desk staff to the hygienists to the dentist herself. She has put a crown on for me and has done major dental work on my husband, all with great results. And, she is a nice person. This isn't a cheap dentist, but you get what you pay for--a talented dentist who does highly professional work. I came here, for the first time, in 2014 or 2015 and the entire staff was exceptional! I loved the front office and hygienist gals so much. When I moved back last year, I was hoping to find the same team but, sadly, they were all gone. In fact, I found out that the staff had turned over several times since my last visit. As a business owner, I recognize this as a red flag. I did some research and found that the dentist, Melodee Tran, has a Oregon Dental Board Action against her for falsifying documents. I can only assume that this may be the reason for the staff turnover, but who knows. I was not impressed at my last visit and was prepared to find a new dentist anyway, so I guess it doesn't matter much to me. ALWAYS check your dentist on the Board website!!! Like the five star rating says "As good as it gets!". I have been going to this dental office for many years and now that I have kids, they go hear too.  They do an excellent job in taking care of your needs.  The place is very warm, the staff is super friendly, and they really go out of their way to make you feel comfortable. Both doctors have a wealth of experience and if I could give them more than five stars based on their experience alone, I would.  When I was going to a different dental office, they were ready to just start pulling teeth as part of my oral problems, but not at Murrayhill Dental.  Dr. Tran saved my teeth and my gorgeous smile (hehe) by providing another option to keep my teeth intact. If you live in the Beaverton, Aloha, Tigard, Sherwood, or Southwest Portland area, going to Murrayhill Dental is worth the drive to get excellent dental care.  The front desk staff is also on point in following up with patients to make sure appointments aren't missed or if an alternative time is needed they'll find you one. Avoid...avoid...avoid... I formerly worked in a dental office and I cannot recommend this office. The dentist's bedside manner is rough and rushed. While reading off measurements to the assistant during my exam, she clearly became irritated that the assistant could not keep up. This does not build patient confidence. Her exam was uncomfortable. She had my head lower than my heart in the chair...anyone in the medical field knows that will cause blood to rush to your head. Then she had the audacity to ask why I kept sliding down the chair. Nice. My gums were bleeding excessively after her exam and I was sore for 2 days. This is unheard of for me as I have always had healthy teeth based on regular check ups. Despite my healthy dental history, she managed to come up with an exhaustive list of unnecessary procedures. I went to another dentist for a second opinion...as I suspected, my teeth were fine. I received a clean bill of health. My husband went in for a crown and deep cleaning. The crown replacement was done poorly and misaligned his bite so severely that the opposing bottom tooth was damaged. He became so swollen that he couldn't put anything in his mouth without extreme pain. We rushed him to an emergency dentist on a Saturday. The emergency dentist confirmed it was a poor job. This dentist also confirmed that the "deep cleaning" that was supposed to be done was not completed to satisfactory standards. Watch out for over-billing and unnecessary procedures. I have been going to this clinic since they first opened and I have always loved Dr. Tran and her staff and I was sad to hear that she was leaving. But I have to say that the Dentist that replaced her is so AWESOME it is unreal! I do not write reviews but I had to. She is so amazing that I would highly recommend her to anyone, even more so t others that may have higher understanding of more complex medical needs. The staff there has always been kind, but they are even more so now... and the Dentist is so sweet and will listen and will help out and is so knowledgable. Overcharged for everything. I have a great dental plan and have never had to pay out of pocket before. I came here because it was close to home and I needed a new dentist because he retired. This office overcharge for a simple cleaning. I was made to pay out of pocket for my cleaning and fluoride. Also she recommended alot of work that I didn't need. I tried to tell her that my previous dentist and I were just monitoring several problem areas and that those areas were actually improving. She pretty much ignored what I said. She was rude and made me feel crappy about my teeth. Also really rough when checking my pockets. The only thing good there was the hygienist. If you feel like getting ripped off then by all means go there. read more

Very disappointed in Murray Hill Dental! All Parents should know that they Require Nitrous for my 7 year old boy and it was mandatory. Really? I said as a parent I do not want my son having nitrous for a simple filling and was told it was mandatory. In the paperwork I did notice that my insurance does not cover the nitrous and the office was making an extra $100 off of the Nitrous....now I see why it was mandatory. I have always received good care from Murrayhill Dental, save the gold filling they talked me into getting, which fell out in less than a year. They don't take responsibility if their work fails, so I got to pay for that tooth twice. If you want quality care that stays within your insurance benefit, Murrayhill Dental isn't for you. If you want quality care, and are willing to pay 10% to 30% more than most dentists, Murrayhill Dental is for you. read more

Great dental office. I have had many crowns and procedures all handled with easy and effective treatments. Beautiful location by the Murray-Scholls park and shopping right by the pond and Murray Cafe with a view of the fountains. I DO NOT RECCOMEND!!!! i had a few cavities filled, after she apparently drilled and filled i had so much pain on the left molars i had filled that i couldnt even bite my teeth together gently. she scheduled me in and apparently didnt shave down the filling to even my bite and spent over an hour evening out my bite and told me the pain will go away in a week or two. a month went by and i still have to eat on the right side so i called to schedule an apt and she use the excuse that my cavity was too bad and that the pain might get better through time. i went to the ohsu school of dentistry and the lead dentist there (30yrs of dentist work) took a xray and examined her work and said she drilled the cavities too deep and effected the nerves which now require a root canal to end the pain. i refused to pay my last $350 payment. she sent me a served letter at work and sent it to collections who are now garnishing my paychecks 25%! and the balance is now $615. WHAT A NIGHTMARE!!!!!! read more
