I just brought my suit in to be cleaned and pressed after having it tailored. This is my wedding suit and it was in perfect condition. I just got it back from Murre Cleaners and almost the entire left sleeve lining was ripped out. I returned and asked them to fix it explaining that I had just got it back from the tailor and it wasn't ripped. I had tried it on and it was fine. You can't even put your arm through the sleeve now. The lady got very defensive and wouldn't even listen to me. She raised her voice and started getting hysterical and I couldn't understand anything she was saying. I even asked her how much she would charge me to fix it. I was willing to pay at that point. Still the yelling. I struggled with what to rate this dry cleaner. Initially, I had a great experience. My wife brought my clothes in, and I picked them up - the price was right, the clothes were perfect...upon first inspection. Later I found on one of my shirts my father-in-law's last name WRITTEN on my shirt in permanent marker. It was written on the bottom, inside - the part that you generally tuck into your pants. I understand that this is an area of the shirt usually hidden, but honestly - is there any reason I should be pleased with or otherwise accept that my shirt was WRITTEN ON in permanent marker? Most other dry cleaners (and I'll say "most" since I haven't been to them all) bag-and-tag your clothes. Oh no, not Murre - they'll just write your name on your clothes like dear ol' mom used to do on your undies when you went to camp. The only reason I gave Murre two stars instead of one is because, well, my father-in-law has used them religiously for years, and evidently hasn't found where they've written his name on his shirts yet. read more

Love this place. Owner is so friendly and patient. Had 3 items tailored to perfection, added belt loops to one maxi skirt with the extra hemmed material. It's now my favorite skirt. One zipper fixed on favorite puffer jacket, and one unknown (possible glue) stain removed from a delicate blouse which I thought was hopeless. $83 total! I needed some dry Cleaning done like in a hurry and because I work in Agoura live in Camarillo I had no choice lunch break doesn't cover drive to my dry cleaners. (LoL). My dry cleaning was done the next day and I must say I am quite satisfied. It doesn't have that heavy dry cleaner smell and my clothes didn't feel 'stiff'. So I dropped off some more clothes the following weeks and the nice lady remembered me she smiled and said 'uh back again already?' So it's been almost a year and it actually works out because my job is right across the street I can swing by and pick up or drop off. They really take care of your garments. Jeannie is so friendly and she always has a smile and takes care of your needs. It really feels like a mom and pop kind of place. Also, I brought in a jacket that had a stain on it that I failed to inform them of, and when I returned to get it back they told me it had a stain and that they didn't dry clean it in case I didn't know of the stain. I thought this was quality service since other cleaners would not notice this detail and dry clean it anyway without you knowing about the stain. Simple sewing work was done poorly for a considerable amount of money. When the sewing unraveled and came apart, I returned (3 weeks later ) for a redo. The owner was rude and wanted to change me more for the work already payed for. Additionally any seamstress for that amount of money would have reinforced the entire seam instead of doing less than the bare minimum causing a redo. This was not the first occurrence of this, a fast expensive job that needed to be redone. It is my intention to not return there.
