We did the maternity shoot in a beautiful park setting in Sacramento. She knew the location really well (we came up from the bay area) and composed some really lovely shots. I'm so happy that we made the effort to do that shoot (at 8+ months pregnant it was an effort!). I've never done any kind of photo shoot before so I was pretty nervous and thought I'd end up being really awkward but Melissa is so nice and wonderful and helpful that it ended up being really fun. For the newborn shoot Melissa came to our apartment and we ended up with the most stunning photos of our baby son and the whole family. Again, when you have a newborn you don't necessarily feel like being photographed or having people come over, but Melissa is so wonderful and the experience was really enjoyable and she delivered the most beautiful results.
