Wow. Their pedicures are amazing! I came here due to their high reviews about their pedicures and it did not disappoint. They do massage your feet and legs for awhile, use hot rocks, and also gave a foot wrap. I chose to do a regular pedicure and a gel mani. The mani came out well, but I've had better. The interior needs a little work though because it did feel a little dirty, especially the pedicure area. The reason why I'm giving this place 3 stars even though the pedicure was great is because I got charged an extra $3, which I only realized when I got home and looked at the receipt. My gel mani was $25 and the regular pedi is $22. The girl who did my nails even said $47 total when she was done with my nails and I asked for the price. I used credit card to pay, but tipped in cash & was in a bit of a hurry to leave. I should have paid more attention and perhaps there is a service fee for using card but they should have disclosed the information to me if that was the case...especially since I ended up tipping very generously. read more

Wonderful salon! Prices very reasonable. clean and e tine is nice there. They care about their customers! All of a sudden after 25 years of doing UV Gel at a few other nail salons, I was having issues with swollen/inflamed cuticles. Nobody at any of the other nail salons I went to addressed the issues. First visit at this salon, Helen advised me to change to powder v gel as it's healthier for the nails and I wouldn't have to go under the UV light. I have not had any issues at all since she convinced me to change. This is the only place I go to now! read more

I love this place! Their service is very nice. I've only been here twice both for UV Gel manicure ($20) and both turned out very well. I've had the same nail technician but I don't know her name but she does my manicure very nicely. The polishes lasts really long like about 3 weeks or possible more (but I couldn't stand my long nails so I had to get them done). It says appointment only but I'm pretty sure walk ins are acceptable as well or just make a quick phone call to see if they have any availability same day. They have quite a bit of nail techs there. Their pedicures is also very nice ($20) or you can also upgrade it to spa pedicure which comes with a 20min massage for $35. Will keep coming back in the future :) read more

Absolutely the worst, most unsanitary nail salon I have ever been too. I was getting a pedicure done, and because the salon was crowded the lady started removing another clients HAND nails at the pedicure stations, and her nails were flying all over me it was absolutely disgusting. PLEASE DO NOT GO HERE. I have never HATED a manicure so badly in my life. So expensive for the design and my nails came out so so thick and my cuticles werent even cleaned properly. She charged me 87 for dip nails and a normal pedicure... make it make sense. My nails werent shaped the way I wanted, all the nails were uneven in length. My toes came out even worse I am not sure why I had holes and gaps in the polish. I can make this review so long I am so triggered and appauled by the service they had. When i told them I did not really like my nails and it needed to be fixed they were so rude and Helen the manager tried insisting me that a $5 tip is too little. EXCUSE ME. A TIP IS A TIP. I hated the nails, hated the service, worst experience. NEVER. GO. HERE. ITS NOT CHEAP, AND UR NAILS WILL COME OUT SO BULKY AND THICK! read more

Warning for extreme length LOL... I gave a lot of thought before deciding to update this review because of how loyal of a customer I've been, but my last visit really put a bad taste in my mouth and here I am a week later still taken aback from my last visit. I've been a loyal customer since Sunny Top opened in 2017, I've brought people with me and spent BANK here over and over again, recommended all of my friends and family to Helen, and really thought I would never look elsewhere for my nail services-as I haven't, in over four years. Sunny Top offers a discount card after your first several visits where you save $10- a great opportunity for people who return again and again- like me. In the four years I've been going- steadily every 3-4/ 5 weeks, I never kept good track of my cards and had them punched out each visit, but Helen knows me on a first name basis and knows that I am always coming in. I asked Helen a couple of months ago if she could grant me the $10 discount for the first time after going AT LEAST 20-30 times in the past 4 years and she gave me the $10 off. I've returned several times since. Fast forward to a few days ago, when I came in and asked if she would be able to give me the discount on my manicure and eyebrow wax. She immediately told me she wouldn't do it because I already got a discount months ago. Since then I've returned multiple times, once with my boyfriend spending over $170 dollars in one session. Although this upset me, I paid without question but I have to admit- it put a terrible taste in my mouth when I walked out the door. It's not about 10 dollars. It's about customer service. If $10 was worth keeping me as a happy customer, obviously my business and loyalty don't mean as much as I thought it did to Helen. In the grand scheme of things, I am owed at THE VERY LEAST $50 off since becoming a customer when Sunny Top first opened and returning again and again, literally balling out and getting everything you can think of from $50 jelly pedicures to eyebrows, gel, powder, rhinestones, artwork- you name it, I've gotten it, and I've gotten it all at Sunny. But over the years I notice a vibe of greed, as the business grew and that tiny dingy salon was filled to the brim of women every single day. After I got one jelly pedicure, Helen was asking me to do it every time since- $$$ And that's something, coming from someone who has never complained- even when my nails have chipped or fallen off a week in, or when I'm sitting there for over two hours because Helen is answering the phones and helping other people while servicing me, or when my boyfriend and I got pedicures and the woman doing his feet buffed his toenails without saying it costed an extra $5. But that's just what loyalty is- stupidity. Giving someone your money time and time again and sending people left and right to them while keeping your mouth shut on all of your dissatisfaction. So in the end, $10 did lose you a very consistent customer who's been there since your doors first opened, but who cares when you've got so many more, right? read more

They take their time no rush even tho if there is someone waiting. 2) Very clean, each item they use were disposable expect the towels. 3) The pedicure is extremely good like all the other reviews has mention. Exfoliate, hot wax on the heel, 5 minutes massage included with in the regular pedicure. Cons: 1) I brought my own polish but they change me extra because I want it 5 different colors (Easter nails) it was $5 extra. 2) I feel like mine cuticles could have been cleaner. To begin, this place used to be called Annie's nails, then was called Sunny's Nails. However, recently, there is new a new owner and new management who has changed the name to Sunny Top Nail Salon. New management is incredibly sweet, helpful, and provided the best customer service. It was by far the best customer service I have experienced at a nail salon. Pedicure: This place has always had one of the best pedicures in Staten Island. They always take at least 20-30 minutes to really care for your feet and give you a thorough massage. I have to say that after getting a pedicure today for the first time since new management took over, the pedicurist gave a less thorough massage, but my toenails were still painted beautifully. Manicure: I never used to go for manicures under old management, because I felt that they never did a good job and I always felt rushed. However, I decided to give it a try under new management, and I AM OBSESSED. I got tips with a gel manicure and hologram effect on top. The manager did my nails and she was so painstakingly careful and perfect. My nails came out absolutely beautiful. I did the Powder Dip ($30) and regular pedicure ($20) and got a free hand lotion gift from them for the Holidays. Ivy did a great job with both my nails and feet. She was extremely attentive, took her time and was also extremely pleasant. This was my very first time doing dip powder and it lasted me around 2.5-3weeks. I would recommend this salon to anyone who's in need of a spa like treatment. Got a gel manicure and regular pedicure for the first time here. Something that is very important to me is cleanliness- this place uses disposable pumice stones for your feet, and liners in the foot spa tub. I have been working in hospitals that autoclave during the past few years so I don't think it's the cleanest place ever, but it's definitely better than a majority of salons on the island (Ladies/gents- just bring your own TOOLS to avoid infection-- that's the one thing I was kind of sketch about). The "regular" pedicure included exfoliative scrub, leg/foot massage, paraffin wax and the hot stones. One of the best pedicures I have ever gotten. Gel manicure- I had a hard time picking color (so many choices!), but one of the staff members helped me match a color to my dress. Very meticulous and overall good job. They also have a loyalty card which gives you a $$ amount off after a certain number of visits This may sound kind of silly, but the best thing about this place is that the owner is extremely friendly. I stopped going to a place down the block from my house even though their prices are cheaper and they do a pretty decent job because they had nasty attitudes.
