This was such a fun experience! I love that they guide you through creating certain paintings, and there are so many options to choose from! I had not painted for many years and wanted to get creative again. Art is therapeutic. If you are bored of the same old thing, try this! The set up was well organized. They have everything you need there. They even sell hot food and drinks. There are alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks and light bites. A lot of the food seemed baked and not fried (if it matters to you). The painting instructor was great. My painting turned out better than I thought it would be. Okay so we had the BEST time at Muse Paintbar in Mosaic. When I say that this was the best date night I mean it! We had Maria as our teacher with assistance from Jordan and they absolutely killed it! Maria is so unbelievably talented and has such a great personality. She was encouraging and even though it was a quick process (2 hours to complete the whole thing!), I felt very calm. It was almost relaxing even! It was $40 to do this painting and it was a medium level of difficulty. I want to try so many more classes because it was so fun and gave me and my boyfriend the chance to unwind and let loose! As for food and drinks... a glass of wine was $10 and food varied. I didn't get any snacks but next time I hope to try some more options! I couldn't recommend this enough! read more

We found Muse during at their booth set up at Bark Bash. I love their pet portraits on display. I then realized they didn't paint them and it was a DIY event. This was a wonderful time with my bestie. We were seated at a table with a mom and daughter. It was not crowded at all. There was a kiddos birthday party going on in the back room and we were out in the main area. The instructors (sisters) were awesome. Good laughs, great encouragement and hard working! We were guided pretty easily throughout the whole process. We were able to finish on time. The selections of painting were perfect. So many to choose from for a later date. Parking was so easy. The class moves fairly quickly because it's a set time frame. They can assist you when help is needed. Also, your painting doesn't have to look exactly like there's. We went to amuse Paintbar for a work team event and had a great time! Our instructor, Ivan, was so friendly and walked through every step to make sure you painted something close to the original. We had a lot of fun painting while snacking on food and sipping wine. The session took about an hour and a half and was the perfect pace. My only complaint is that as a plus size woman, the chairs were pretty uncomfortable. The chair was sturdy and solid, but the back bars curve forward and cut into the already small seat and makes it impossible to fit wide hips on the chair, any marginally considerable backside, or to get any sort of back support. Not comfortable for an hour and a half of sitting. The introduction of a few bench seats would be a cheap and inclusive solution. read more

My first time at a paint bar did not disappoint!! My friend took me here today for my birthday. Our instructor was Andrew. He went slow enough (for the most part!) and my painting turned out super cool. We were lucky to be seated right next to the instructors stage. Might be a tip on something to ask for when you are booking but I'm sure they can't guarantee any specific seat. We parked at the garage down the street without issue. I have been to Muse Paintbar in Mosaic twice, and both time I have had a fantastic time. You do not have to have any painting experience, the instructors give easy to follow instructions. Everyone's paintings end up looking different and unique. When you arrive, they have all your painting materials set up and ready for you. They also have a bar with drinks and snacks that you can order at anytime. I would say the painting prices are good, and they have lots of different paintings throughout the month that you can choose from to match your home. I've been to muse paintbar with my family many times, but last week was an incredibly stressful class. The teacher and staff were great; it was the giant spider decoration on the wall behind the teacher. My son has arachnophobia and doesn't like to talk about it. During the class, he could barely look at the teacher and I had to guide him with my own canvas. Phobias aren't squeamishness or dislike. It's like an alarm you cant hear your own thoughts over. If you can spare anyone that discomfort, why wouldn't you? Arachnophobia is one of the 3 most common phobias in the world and there are so many great possibilities for autumn decorations-- pumpkins, fall leaves, black cats, ghosts... I hope muse gets this message and takes the spider down. read more

Came here for the first time yesterday for their Paint you Pet event. The ambience is nice! I love all the paintings displayed in the studio so you can see what other paintings you can do. The layout is a little cramped as there's awkward corners at the tables. Moving around is a bit challenging - if you're trying to head to the back for the bar or to order food. The bar and food menu offers a good variety! So now the instruction portion. Mind you I've only ever done paint nites and not artistic whatsoever. I've never painted my pet before, I've only done scenic paintings at the other places. For here, I like that each table gets a designated instructor and one overall instructor. Even with that, the instruction was not very helpful. It was very short and basic instructions. "Paint your nose like this, and outline the dark spots, now paint the mouth, add some shading". It was very difficult to follow and I often found myself lost. My painting came out okay! It wasn't too awful but I feel like with more instruction it could've been better. read more

This is my second time at Muse, but first time at this location. A group of 4 of us came here on a Thursday evening. It was not crowded at all. We were seated towards the front, which made it easy to see the instructor. The instructor, Daniel, also made the experience enjoyable. He worked at a slow enough pace to follow along with, and he also offered much comic relief, which was fun. Second location and Muse is 2 for 2 with great experiences. What a super fun and cute experience! I went with my boyfriend on a Sunday afternoon, where we painted a very nice sunset/safari painting. Do not be intimidated if you are not an artist or a painter! The instructor is super helpful and walks through everything, from which brush to use to how to create the color on your palette by mixing the different paints. They also had aprons of course, for you to wear so needn't worry about getting clothes dirty. They also had hairdryers in case some parts of your painting were too thick and we had to go through the next process to paint over the canvas with more details/ a new layer of paint. Thoroughly prepared and your workspace is set up for you once you walk in! Youre also not committed to the painting that is for your class. That is what the instructor walks through for the whole duration of time, so I do recommend you paint the one featured in the class. However it's good to know there's flexibility! Our table ordered a pitcher of the Blood Orange punch which was pretty good - if youre going to be drinking more than one small serving I highly recommend the pitcher to share! read more

Came to a Tuesday session with SO and it was quite fun! Instructor was super engaging and was very fun to listen to. There are also instructors nearby that u can ask for help. The place was packed, and I was fortunate enough to get a more spacious table. A lot of tables in the back are pretty cramped together. You can also grab drinks or snacks in the back, which is pretty cool. It's a super fun vibe and you get to look at different variations of the same artwork they teach you from the other students. I got some compliments about my art, and that uplifted my mood. They provide all the materials you need, and you really don't need to know how to paint well to come. I don't think the paint is super high quality, but it gets the job done for this short session (2ish hours). I wouldn't recommend wearing nice clothes - they provide an apron, but you might still get paint on your clothes. Just make sure to use the liquid they have in the back so your paint doesn't dry on your clothes! SO was super proud of his artwork :) I wish I did a bit better (I used to paint a lot), but I had lots of fun! We got to take our artwork home too. I would come here again to try another piece - it's a lot faster than the paintings I used to do at home, and it's in a fun relaxing environment! read more

Muse offers painting instruction while having a restaurant & bar in the back to get your drink/chowing down. A group of us came here for an outing, and it was a pleasant experience! We really liked how you can create a 'group' when you purchase your tickets online, as they will seat you altogether. When you step-in, you can drop-off your stuff at your group table and bring a 'ticket' (that's placed on top of your canvas) to the back to get beverages/food. At your table, there's plenty of paper towels, a little palette of paint colors, a tin can to fill-up with water for rinse, and a set of different-sized brushes. Instructors vary, but for our evening, we had Ms. Naomi - she was pretty straightforward, gave clear instructions, and demonstrated certain techniques. She and other staff members walked around to make sure everyone had everything that was needed and also available for any feedback/suggestions. Just note that you 'technically' don't have to stick with the 'theme' that is presented during your class - there were some individuals who chose to paint a whole another thing; ours was on 'Lilacs,' and even though mine turned out looking like the bottom of an octopus, the overall experience was relaxing and fun! You can get 'reward credits' in which you can start applying after you reach $20; also check out their social media, as they do offer discounts and such. The place was set-up well, and everything was clean and organized. I do hope that they crank up the AC a little bit and maybe offer requests on the playlist? Great spot to come with a mini group, family, or with your sigfig other.
