Had a lovely time celebrating a friend's birthday at the Muse Paint bar in Milford right next to the mall! I've been meaning to try out a sip and paint class and this was just what I was looking for. They have a lot of interesting drinks that are reasonably priced and you can get a pitcher for your whole table if you have a group. The lead instructor and all the staff were exceptionally sweet and friendly! They even helped touched up my painting for me because I was really struggling lol. Our finished product didn't look exactly like the model painting but that's part of the fun. They encouraged everyone to be creative and take their own spin on the assignment! Oh and the playlist they had going was AMAZING. I would definitely do it again! read more

Really enjoyed myself. I love the setup. I came alone and bought a bottle of wine. I enjoyed it while I painted. My only gripe is the kitchen closed early into the evening session. Causing people to get their food early. I think the kitchen should stay open longer. I really enjoyed this class. For a Sunday night, it had a pretty good turn out, there may have been 14-17 people there that night. The paint instructor gave clear directions and it was easy to follow. They have a lot of beautiful paintings on the walls.Definitely cool for a date night. Or solo like me if you're feeling frisky. The customer service was very good. The atmosphere and experience are the qualifiers for 4 stars. This is a really cool way to relax. decompress. or just do anything besides being stuck in my house during COVID-19. My friend had a birthday gathering here. At first, I was concerned about safety protocols, but I was pleased that the staff were thorough about precautions. Social distancing, sanitizers available, and masks worn unless you were seated and eating made this a great place to chill for a couple hours. It's affordable enough to do every week. Most of all it was fun! I had the opportunity to be creative and enjoy some sense of normalcy. Medicine for my soul. I didn't order food because I didn't really see anything on the menu that excited me. None of the people around me enjoyed the food. I would stick to the beverages which are reasonably priced. I had a great evening here with two co workers, I reserved online ahead of time. We checked in and got drinks from the bar and ordered apps. Wine & beer only at the bar. I'd recommend the rosemary fries, or the mozzarella sticks, but not the pretzel bites (bc the cheese was gross that comes w it). Music was playing and our artist leader did great taking breaks and showing us how to paint a beach scene. A fun night out for sure post Covid. read more

This was a last minute invite on my birthday. I had been to paint nights before but never at Muse. It seemed fairly crowded when I walked in. There are 2 classes going on at the same time along with food and drinks for sale. I was pleasantly surprised to be approached rather quickly to get my name and brought to the area where my group was already sitting. Our supplies were ready. There was time to get something to eat or drink. Its not an extensive menu, but snacks, sodas, and alcohol are all available for purchase. I had a red sangria which was good, nothing special. The class started promptly with Chelsea explaining where everything eas and what we were painting. Instruction started off moving very quickly, but slowed down a bit. I almost couldnt keep up at first, but it was important yo work quickly to blend the paint colors before they dried. The rest of the night moved along nicely, with another instructor walking around helping with instructions or extra paint. I wish the lighting was a little better and the room was a bit crowded when moving around. Muse was celebrating their 10th anniversary and throughout the night they raffled off some prizes. Prizes included a free drink, free dessert, $50 gift certificate, and a painting. There were a few birthdays being celebrated in the room. They were able to choose a painting as a gift. These paintings looked like they were left behind by other patrons. Not perfect, but still fun to grab a free gift. At the end of the night, Chelsea was available to take our picture with our paintings. It was a really fun place and I'll probably be back! read more

Good location attached to the mall with an outdoor entrance: check. Easy parking within a reasonable distance: check. Friendly employees with a variety of adult drinks and appetizers: check. Artistic ability: nada, at least on my part, but I don't hold that against anyone except genetics. But you don't have to have artistic ability to enjoy yourself at Muse; the space is open and fun, and there are multiple studios if you're planning to reserve space for a large group. I agree individual help is a little lacking, and think carefully about where you sit because some places are easier to see the instructor then others. Even with a clear line of vision, sometimes it's hard to make out the more intricate movements they make on the canvas. But overall it was a fun experience! read more

I was pretty satisfied with this paint class, it wasn't that easy and the instructor moved fast so it was easy to get behind. A little hard to get assistance as the staff that was walking around didn't really offer help and also needed to work the bar. The dessert coming out looked good. Drinks are expensive and we went on buy one get one drink day, expect to pay about 10 dollars for a wine or beer on not bogo days. read more

I'd come previously for an event and then took a group of girlfriends back as a pre-birthday activity. We had a really great time. Muse lost it's license to serve alcohol, but you can bring your own and they just charge a corking fee. They have a lot of tasty items on the food menu that you can order to enjoy while painting. I've taken a class with two different instructors and both were fun and funny. A second instructor wanders the room to provide feedback, so it's no problem if you get a bit behind. They have a wide selection of paintings to choose from, so it's best to check the website and pick one you're excited about. Went here for a painting class for my birthday. Be mindful I never painting anything besides like paint class in high school. They were so helpful! They make a painting that looks impossible to accomplish possible. I came in feeling nervous that my painting was gonna look a shitshow and it actually turned out great for a first painting. Muse Paint Bar is a great spot for date night or to celebrate a special occasion! My boyfriend and I went on a date here and we had the best time! We split a bottle of wine we purchased here while we did our painting. We definitely recommend getting there early like they say to do you can get a lay of the land and grab your food and drinks! They give you the drinks right away and will bring out the food once you start paining. It was not too crowed when we went and we were sat right next to the instructor which was great. She was a great instruction and frequently walked around to make sure we were doing ok, if you're struggling though I would recommend you flag someone down. She took her time with us and we stayed later than the allotted time to finish up which was nice that they didn't rush us. My boyfriend and I get a little competitive and this definitely brought that side of us out lol but we were able to enjoy the process over a shared basket of cheeses curly fries! This place is a little pricey so definitely recommend for a special date night or celebration but overall we had a great time and would go again! read more

We had a fantastic time- though we aren't the best painters. The staff was incredible, lively, and friendly. They did a great job creating a fun and comfortable environment. The food was also better than I would have imagined for a paintbar and worth it! The only thing- I am 23 years old and in CT my driver's license doesn't expire until i'm 24, which means I still have my original vertical license. They refused to accept my vertical license and ONLY accept horizontal licenses! I even brought my passport as a second form and they would not take it. Not a huge deal (don't think it's worth docking a star) but definitely something to keep in mind if attending. read more

Lots of fun. Would be better if the one who is circulating would be more helpful i.e. getting more needed paint, helping to critique etc. I have been there twice and found that individual help is lacking. I have been to Paint Bars in the past where this kind of help has been better. The instructor moves along without really stopping to make suggestions etc. read more
