They will correspond with you and you can choose the artwork you want to paint (they have THOUSANDS to choose from). You can also invite your guests to register and pay separately. On the day of your event, you can bring your own snacks, foods, drinks, and decorations. Everything else would be prepared for you, including utensils, ice, and any painting/ candle making supplies you would need. There is also an instructor who will guide you as you follow along. Though that is the case, you can still customize the painting to your own liking (in terms of colors and painting styles). It was so cool to see everyone's unique take of the painting afterwards. We all had a blast! This is such a nice indoor activity for those cold Chicago days. Let me take you back to elementary school art class. Every time I walked into that classroom, I hoped that I would be working with liquid paint, but alas, it was a rarity. I've heard about these paint and sip experiences, and wanted to give it a try for a bit. Recently, I finally had the opportunity to give it a go. It ended up being a fantastic experience! Furthermore, while I wasn't that impressed with my own work while comparing to some of the others in the studio, when I looked at it the next day, i couldn't help but feel at least a little proud of myself. I am still a little shocked that "I made this, and it looks great!" The staff at the studio were all around great! They helped us be as creative as we wanted to be, with some people (including myself) requesting supplemental colors). We were also welcome to add our own elements, or even paint something entirely different. Kudos also to the guide for being loud enough to be clearly heard (especially as someone with hearing loss), and on the instructions being easy to follow. While it would have been nice if the setup was such that her head wasn't in the way while she was painting, I appreciate that this can be hard to accomplish without a bunch of electronics. Finally, as we were all there as part of an organized experience through 222 (dinner with strangers and some kind of event to follow), the staff was also fantastic about incorporating blocks of time for us to take a break, socialize, and change seats, if we so fancied. Thus, I enjoyed myself so much that I am looking at returning at some point in the near future and trying my hand at a different painting. Soon, there will be more art on my walls, and when I have people over, I will be able to proudly tell them that these are things I painted myself (with just a little guidance).

For our activity, we water color painted an alphabet book for the baby. Each page consisted of a letter and accompanying animal tracing, so our job was just to fill it in. I'm pretty sure the owner did all the outlines for us, which was incredibly impressive! The painting was so relaxing, therapeutic, and fun! I love that my friend will have this book to look back on to remember the fun day. They offer SO many fun and crafty classes here. Wreath building, calligraphy, embroidery, macrame, and that is truly just the tip of the iceberg. The ticket (which we had to pay for in advance) included a brunch buffet, painting station, and bottomless mimosas. The spread of food was disturbing. It was cold grits, cold eggs, sausage, hard waffles, and chicken strips. They had nothing keeping the food hot and clearly didnt have enough food for everyone. The food wasn't edible AT ALL. I was completely embarrassed that I invited ppl and had them pay IN ADVANCE for that! No one in my party was happy and we were forced to leave cuz we were so hungry. What's even WORSE is the way the team handled our dissatisfaction. I reached out after the fact to inquire about a refund and MANNY, the guy behind the event refused and instead tried to offer me discounted tickets to ANOTHER EVENT. My friend also left a comment about the situation on their instagram and they DELETED HER COMMENT. Then said "we reached out to her via dm" BAD BUSINESS. I will NEVER attend an event at Pearl or any other function thrown by premo. TERRIBLE LOOK.
