Let me take you back to elementary school art class. Every time I walked into that classroom, I hoped that I would be working with liquid paint, but alas, it was a rarity. I've heard about these paint and sip experiences, and wanted to give it a try for a bit. Recently, I finally had the opportunity to give it a go. It ended up being a fantastic experience! Furthermore, while I wasn't that impressed with my own work while comparing to some of the others in the studio, when I looked at it the next day, i couldn't help but feel at least a little proud of myself. I am still a little shocked that "I made this, and it looks great!" The staff at the studio were all around great! They helped us be as creative as we wanted to be, with some people (including myself) requesting supplemental colors). We were also welcome to add our own elements, or even paint something entirely different. Kudos also to the guide for being loud enough to be clearly heard (especially as someone with hearing loss), and on the instructions being easy to follow. While it would have been nice if the setup was such that her head wasn't in the way while she was painting, I appreciate that this can be hard to accomplish without a bunch of electronics. Finally, as we were all there as part of an organized experience through 222 (dinner with strangers and some kind of event to follow), the staff was also fantastic about incorporating blocks of time for us to take a break, socialize, and change seats, if we so fancied. Thus, I enjoyed myself so much that I am looking at returning at some point in the near future and trying my hand at a different painting. Soon, there will be more art on my walls, and when I have people over, I will be able to proudly tell them that these are things I painted myself (with just a little guidance). read more

The experience was such a blissful one. My instructor was Lily, and she was a wonderful one, she is so kind and welcoming, I'm so glad I went to this sip and paint class. It was fun and relaxing, we could enjoy of the music while painting and having our drinks. It was pretty easy to find parking since we attended the 1pm session on a Sunday (free parking). This session was a family one so you can take your kids 6 and up. Omg this was definitely the most fun I've had painting. Our instructor, Kimmie, made it feel soo natural and made it just so much more comfortable versus doing this elsewhere. She cracked jokes with us, had some wine with us, it was just FUN! We were supposed to be done at 9:30, because that's what we paid for, however the birthday girl was having some trouble catching up. You think Kimmie rushed us? Heck no! She assisted and made sure everyone was taking their time so our portrait would look as beautiful as hers. I am a business owner and threw a client appreciation party for some of my closets clients. I wanted to do something different for them. I contacted Amy via email and she contacted me the next day. I had about 15 of my clients show and we mingled for a bit before we started. I brought in my own wine and appetizers. They had 1 table, 15 wine glasses and also water available. They also have 2 bathrooms which helped a lot since there are 2 rooms available. Parking wasn't a problem there was off the street parking but it is metered so you will have to pay. We also ran over time and the instructor was super patient in waiting for my clients as some ran late. My clients had an awesome time and a painting that is memorable to them. We took a virtual Zoom class as we are a close family that does a lot of stuff together but have been separated since quarantine. It was really fun and a GREAT option for separated families to do something together. It was a joy to hear my kids and granddaughter and daughter-in-law-to-be from their homes all laughing, joking, sipping wine and relaxing. It felt almost normal. I have been sipping and painting several times and each of the experiences have been nothing short of amazing. They have both public and private classes. I have been to both and enjoy them equally. When you arrive, there is about 30 minutes of socializing. This gives you just enough time to have some food and beverages (you bring your own) and chat with your friends before painting. When you're ready to paint, they have everything laid out for you - canvas, easel, paint, brushes, apron, etc. The instructor will take you step by step when it comes to the painting - he makes it look easy! The instructor paints faster than you will so he can walk around and help anyone that needs it. When you're done, everyone will have a slightly different painting but they're all beautiful. Lilly, the hostess and owner, is simply awesome. She's friendly, helpful and always keeps your glass full. Will is my favorite instructor so be sure to ask for him! read more

So much fun! We wanted to do something different for my sisters 60th birthday. Had plans to take her to dinner, but still wanted to make it special. Sip and Paint was the perfect choice. There were 7 of us. We brought in our wine & snacks, had about 30 minutes of sipping and socializing. Our hostess Lily then explained the process and ensured us this was a judgement free activity, just have fun and not to forget to sip She introduced the artist for that day Amy Jo. She patiently instructed us on how to draw a sunflower on an empty canvas, step by step. Once this was done, the painting began. Amy Jo again walked us through, suggesting colors, telling us to just have fun with it. I honestly did not think i would enjoy it as much as I did. Our Women's Club varies in ages 40-90. We were looking for something everyone could do and enjoy. I found Sip and Paint on Google. The ladies were wonderful to work with.
