Had them scheduled in 2020 for a wedding. $500 down payment just to hold the date. Jason did nothing more. Because of Covid the wedding was rebooked for 2021. In the summer of 2020 the wedding was canceled. ONE YEAR BEFORE the new date, he found out from the venue about the change of plans. Got a cold call from Jason. He gleefully told us that according to contract we would NOT receive our down payment back. It was an awful, exceptional year of stress. But hey, he stuck to the contract. read more

We hired Music Machine to provide DJ services as well as lighting services for our reception. Working with them was amazing -- everything is spelled out for you as to what sort of information you need to provide them -- they give you a worksheet right away so that you can put in requests, do-not-plays, and work out the timeline of your reception. It's all very easy to work through, and they are incredibly responsive and willing to help. Another perk: they accept credit cards for payments! The day of went perfectly. They even took special requests from the best men to help out with their speech, and they did a last-minute change to our cake cutting when the cousins had a special request (and approval from me). They're super friendly, flexible, and just make sure that everything is going the way you want it to go during the reception. The lighting was beautiful, though I didn't realize that there would be a purple tint in all of our pictures because of it. :p Luckily, our photographer was able to edit it out, but definitely something to think about before getting a lighting package. I highly recommend working with Music Machine. They're awesome and can even help you with planning since they're partnered with a lot of other vendors. read more

My husband and I hired Jason and Music Machine Entertainment for our DJ for our June 6, 2015 wedding. We LOVED Jason and his partner DJ John! The two of them were funny, charismatic, and really knew how to read and respond to our crowd. They made sure everyone was dancing without being cheesy or obnoxious like some DJs can be. Jason and John both had such great energy, too - you can tell they are passionate about their job, and they were genuinely enjoying themselves and having a great time at the wedding. Jason was so helpful with creating a wedding timeline for us, and also accommodating every single one of our requests. Since our wedding was Great Gatsby themed, during the cocktail hour Jason played jazz versions of modern songs which was perfect. We also requested all different entrance songs for our bridal party starting at different times, and he executed everything perfect. I ended up changing the order of a few things the week of the wedding, and he made sure all details were correct and perfect on our wedding day. We also gave him a list of songs we wanted played, which he followed, and then also added in songs based on what the crowd was doing - it was perfect! The uplighting was also PHENOMENAL! It was tasteful and perfect. People were commenting on the lighting, music, and DJs the whole night saying that we had the best DJ they'd ever heard! We absolutely loved Jason, John, and Music Machine Entertainment and highly recommend them! Thank you so much for making our wedding the best night ever! read more

I recently attended a wedding that was planned to the nines! ~The lawn was redone, ~The Groom built a pergola for he and his bride to be married under ~ a beautiful fence was built for privacy ~each table was built by hand with reclaimed doors ~antique china was chosen and specifically mismatched ~ Slate patio slabs were laid under the pergola ~ every detail was planned by the Bride she even had a schematic of where every one should be... The Bar, The Photo-Booth, DJ, Raw Bar, etc... ~ specifically The Bride and Groom had a color scheme, White tents only please! They would pay for the expense... ~ The requests they made of the DJ, no songs that use derogatory slang/ racially motivated (You know which one!) and NO vulgar swearing... ~ No microphones used except for the scripted intros. So here is the problem... While the Bride and Groom were preparing off site for THEIR day, he took it upon himself with NO authorization from the Bride or Groom to switch the ENTIRE Schematic! This guy, came in... didn't like his location which logistically was fine and centrally located CHANGED where he was, where the Photo booths was, and switched the Raw Bars location!!!! THESE CHANGES MADE IT IMPOSSIBLE FOR THE BRIDE TO BE MARRIED UNDER THE PERGOLA THEY BUILT JUST FOR THE WEDDING! He used power cords that were slated for a Memorial Video of The Brides Father, leaving the video team scrambling to find alternative power sources. (In his original location he had plenty of power)...PLUS he decided to get a "Blue Tent" which looked totally cheesy! When the Bride came in she was horrified, and he thought it was no big deal! THEN... he played many songs that used racially charged words, and not just swearing, but vulgarity beyond the norm... there were children there for crying out loud! This guy was arrogant, negative, manipulative, and definitely NOT someone who puts their clients first... read more

Worked really hard on a playlist and DJ said it was a great mix of songs; then he only played a few from it. The songs he did play from it he played a different version (disco version) which was frustrating. Overall the music was ok but there were songs I really wanted and I had to keep "requesting" them. read more

So DJ'S are not cheap....when my husband and I were looking around for one for our wedding this past Fall our first meeting was with Jason. We liked him so much from that first impresion we booked with him right away! Everything seemed great right up to the wedding, we talked a few times, Jason reached out to me on deadlines and was super helpful on the price of the package we wanted and making sure it fit in our budget. Come the day of our wedding....no Jason, instead there was another "fill in" DJ that I had no idea about! Any women knows surprises on their wedding day usually isn't a good thing! The other guy did great though, good music and kept everyone dancing all night. Another big problem I had was my husbands name was spelt wrong on our monogram! After talking to Jason he did make it right and gave me the money back on it but that was the worst thing to look at all night long! We hired Jason to be the DJ at our wedding and it couldn't have gone better. We coordinated a few weeks before the special day to discuss our schedule and he executed perfectly. He understood what we wanted (my wife and I have very different tastes in music) and was able to blend it all in for a great time! We had uplighting in our package and the music + lighting effects were awesome! On the dance floor, two bridesmaids told me they were tired because music selection was so good and they had to keep dancing! While I'd like to take credit for picking out individual songs, it was Jason that made it all happen. I would recommend him to anyone. read more

I got married last April in Hawaii with only a small party in attendance. The hubs and and I came home and threw a clam bake luau for those who couldn't fly the distance. I spoke with Jason about what we wanted, not a full blown wedding but just a celebration of the marriage. He gave me a great deal and was happy to help. We had DJ Monty and he was amazing. Me on the other hand, I was a lazy planner. I gave him little to no direction. However, at one point during the party I said to my husband tht Ioved every song he'd played so far. After the food we tried to get the party dancing, but it was mostly an older crowd and only 1pm, they weren't having it. But the DJ kept trying! He kept switching up the music hoping something would catch and eventually we got a few. Music machine was professional, timely and a great addition to our party. I first met with Jason, he was awesome. He helped me to figure out the best package for my wedding. I also got to meet with one of my 2 DJ'S that day. They contacted me to remind me about payment deadlines in advance. They called to go over the day of the wedding information. The actual day of the wedding, the ceremony music was spot on. The reception went perfect. I picked all my own music and they did a great job sticking with it. One guy spent most of the time behind the computer while the other guy came out and spoke when needed. The only thing I could say that I was not a fan of was the transition music between the songs but that wasn't a make or break for me. The uplighting was how I wanted it and the monogram my husband and I picked was beautiful! Overall, I would totally recommend them to anyone looking!! read more

Watching a DJ be a diva on someone else's wedding day is a horrific experience. Music Machine (MM) became known to me (a bridesmaid) as, "That difficult guy who is making lots of demands." He had very specific requests regarding his own tent for his laptop. That's understandable. Laptops are expensive. They're also remote-oriented, which means gone are the days where a Dj needs crates and crates of equipment. You can easily do your job from a very small area. Flash to the wedding day. The couple worked very hard to create a home wedding, built a pergola to be married under, landscaped an otherwise unused dirt lot, and had a specific location for the MM and his laptop and laptop tent to be housed. While we were getting ready offsite, MM came in, took over, chose his own spot and displaced the Photobooth people, the oyster bar, the regular bar, the appetizer table, and the AV gear for the presentation of the bride's deceased father. Everyone worked around MM, as was his wish. We all did our best to keep this from the bride (an event/visual coordinator for a high-end retailer). The couple breathed it out. I watched. I watched the couple get married on the dance floor and not under the pergola they built for the occasion. I watched MM text on his phone during speeches (because he put himself at the center of attention--how could you not see him!) I watched him shrug as the friends who did the video presentation of the bride's deceased father struggled to find a new outlet because he had taken the one they had previously set up. All without apology. It wasn't your day, MM. I NEVER write these things. But you made the bride question too many decisions and fret on HER day. Not MM's day. May a vendor treat you and yours the same, MM. Because karma can be a diva, just like you. read more

I was incredibly disappointed with the DJ. It was not Jason but two other people who showed up who did not seem to have a clue as to how to DJ for a Bat Mitzvah party. So many aspects were wrong so I will list them in order to make it easier to read: 1. I had talked with Jason beforehand about entertaining the kids while the adults were in the "cocktail hour". I sent the kids into the reception room and the DJ's just had them sitting there, waiting for the adults to arrive. No games, no kid-friendly dance music. Nothing. 2. I had given them a CD with specific music that I wanted to play for the hora (a circle dance) - they played the wrong CD that made no sense and did not get people up and dancing. They did not even try to 'rev' everybody up and seemed totally lost as to how to engage my guests so that they would get up and dance. This inability to mix the music to get people up lasted until they finally got it right 45 minutes before the party ended. 3. I had to micro-manage everything which detracted from my ability to just relax and enjoy the party. They kept asking me what games to play!!!! 4. I had to tell them in the middle of the dinner to play games with the kids, who were already bored out of their minds because of not yet having had a chance to do any real dancing. 5. I had to tell them to give out the party favors like hats and necklaces and instead of walking around handing them out to everyone as they danced and therefore, distributing them in a organized manner, they just invited the kids to come up and grab what they wanted so it was like a shark feeding frenzy. 6. They did not connect the glow necklaces with the connectors so they weren't really necklaces but long sticks that the kids had no clue what to do with them so they all ended up on the floor. Thank you for wasting my money! In conclusion, it is a shame that this was not a product because I would have returned it in order to get my money back. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS DJ TO ANYONE! read more

Jason from Music Machine Entertainment Dj's is fantastic. It is clear that he loves doing what he's doing. Jason is enthusiastic from the first meeting to wedding day. On our wedding day we had two DJ's; Jason was one of them and I believe the other was named Billy. They picked out the music for our ceremony and it was great. We had left it up to them to pick because we didn't have a clue as to what to choose. Jason and Billy made sure before we were all announced that they were pronouncing our names correctly. They played all the music we wanted and then some. They keep the people on the dance floor. Jason truly wants everyone to have a good time and his costumers happy. read more
