Rick was kind and gave me advice and recommendations to find the right one for me. All the pianos I saw at his store were high quality ones. The pricing of the pianos was great, as well. I called to ask if he carries a specific product after calling another local music store and they recommended I call him. He was unprofessional, unhelpful, spoke extremely quietly and fast, plus was not listening to my question therefore did not understand what I was asking until I explained for a third time. When the light bulb finally came on, and he called it by its actual name, he made it sound like I was an idiot for not knowing the exact name. The extra irritating part was that the description he used after saying the name was EXACTLY what I was saying to him. Argh! After asking him to repeat what he was saying twice, he finally clued in that he needed to enunciate. I will likely never deal with Music Music again. Amazingly terrible phone skills and customer service is not his forte to say the least. read more

I have been a customer of this store for over 20 years, and have done numerous transactions, including the purchase of 10 instruments for myself and for others. I'm both blessed and thankful that Rick King has endured in Salem during tough economic times, and continues to be the helpful servant he is. I can't understand the negative reviews other than to point out that musicians frequently get their feelings hurt for the slightest reasons (myself included). The owner of this store (Rick King) is quite rude and arrogant. Because he is the only piano dealer in Salem or for miles around you are very much at his mercy. Somehow I think he understands this, and even gets off on it. His customer service skills are some of the worst I've ever seen. Great experience with Rick at Music Music. Told him what I needed in a digital piano, and he kept his recommendations within my price range and size restrictions. Refused to say anything against brands he did not carry, even when I said I had tried some and didn't care for them; simply pointed out the favorable features of the keyboards he offered. Had plenty of models, styles, and price range to try out "hands on" which was very helpful. Let me try out several headphones too. Rick was very helpful and knowledgeable, not pushy. Gave me a very good, fair price for piano, headphones, and bench, matching competitors' prices. Now I love my new piano; it's perfect in the space I have and it sounds and plays beautifully. Would highly recommend Music Music. Have already gone back and purchased some new music. Will definitely be going back again for my music needs.
