I left a message asking about sound healing instruments. I've been to crystal shops, spiritual shops, and metaphysical shops. But, some offer some, but not other items. I thought I'd tried a musical instrument store as well. The owner Jen called me back, and even though she doesn't have sound healing instruments, she gave me recommendations of places to contact. She also is checking with someone that might have one of the specific instruments I'm looking for second hand. We shall see. Not everyone takes the time and effort to help others, and just kind of says no they don't have it, and moves on with their day. She is my kind of people. Took my husband's very very very old violin to be fixed here based on some reviews I read. I know zero about violins, or any musical instruments, so I was nervous about what h would tell me I needed to fix and what it would all cost. It was great to chat with the owner while he walked me through what would need to be replaced which was the bare minimum. I was happy to hear that he wasn't trying to replace pieces that didn't need it. He also showed me new violins as an option, being that it would be almost the same price after fixing the one I brought in. He also advised me that when he started working on it, if it couldn't be fixed, he would stop and not charge me for it. Violin turned out great and my husband was able to play it as soon as he opened it. Now I don't know what other places would have charged for the same work but I definitely appreciated the friendly customer service and thorough knowledge of the owner. read more

Review--Jennifer Price and Vigilante Mouthpieces I just wanted to (re)commend Jennifer Price of Vigilante Mouthpieces for her incredibly outstanding work and superb customer service. I had spoken to Jennifer about a year ago regarding a solution for a metal Berg Larsen mouthpiece that I had for my tenor sax. We'd had several conversations and over that time came to some ideas about what might work best for me. I was utterly blown away by the quality of the Vigilante New York she sent me. At about a .115 tip opening, it's by far the loudest and easiest-blowing piece I've ever played. The sound is titanic and easily fills a room, so be careful in what settings you use it. It's got power and projection galore, and a pronounced tone color to it (I play on a Yamaha Custom 875 tenor) that's still well within the legit-jazz realm from a tonal perspective. She does offer numerous models all with distinctive characteristics, including from what I understand, the Hollywood Studio, which is apparently a very bright mouthpiece. Her work is on the pricey side, but it's worth every penny. The hand craftsmanship is superb, and the piece is beautiful to look at. Extra perks of the purchase included a ligature, engraved cap, and free reed. The only issue I had was with the ligature seeming a little on the flimsy side, but it definitely does its job, and nothing suffers from it. (The best way to describe it is that it's like a Dukoff ligature.) Equally as important to me as a potential customer was Jennifer's willingness to spend lots of time with me over email and on the phone discussing my needs and desires about a new piece, and she, relative to most providers of goods and services these days, displays a level of customer focus and commitment that is unparalleled. I never had any problems at all dealing with her, the merchandise, or the payment. (Shipping was a problem due to the US Postal Service, but let's not get into that here.) In short, I cannot recommend Jennifer and Vigilante Mouthpieces highly enough if you are looking for a high-quality mouthpiece with premium customer service to boot. read more

Love my flute lessons with Jen, who makes learning extremely fun & easy...Teaches other woodwinds, brass, + + as well. Want to pick up a saxophone next & wouldn't think of going any place else. Jen is the most remarkable teacher I have ever met. She not only is an amazingly talented musician but she is also a fantastic teacher. My son has autism. Jen took him on as a student without a second thought. She has brought out a love of music in him and has taught him to read music as well as play the saxophone. She is patient and has a unique talent of connecting with every child. She also gives my daughter voice lessons and my daughter just loves to work with Jen. Dennis W. here I recently moved to the area so I didn't know of any music stores here in Simi Valley but desperately needing guitar strings after 5:30 pm on a saturday night I was on the Internet trying to find a music store to buy some guitar strings and what ever else I needed I came across Music Music web site & PH# it was after 5:30 pm on sat. didn't think they would answer the phone but I called anyway much to my surprise Jennifer answered and said they were working late don't worry they would be there for awhile go ahead come on in so I did and got my strings and met Jennifer & Norm both very nice helpful & knowledgeable you don't find people like these two anymore these days a real pleasure to do business with. I need to buy a guitar for my grandson and with out a doubt I will buy it from them not only are they great people they have great prices and when I say great I mean well made products at a low price believe me I know a good guitar from a bad guitar.
