My new favorite spot in Bay Ridge. The mussels were delicious and comes with a side of plain pasta. Can dip the pasta in mussels sauce. The pizza was ultra thin crust making it my favorite magharita in bay ridge. The chicken parm was just ok and I would skip but the fries were extra crunchy. This is the place I go in Bay Ridge when I get a craving for mussels. Even though their menu is expansive, I've only ever ordered their mussel entrees, it's that addictive. They have a wide variety of Mussels on the menu , and in my opinion, are all very good. I usually get the lobster bisque Mussels. The portions are hefty. They also have good pizza. I have tried n the past the seafood and shrimp pizza. Both are very fresh and tasty. The margarita pizza is no exception. They have live bands playing here out on the sidewalk in the warmer weather seasons. The outdoor seating is a plus. The staff is welcoming and very kind. Decided to give this place a try after seeing some reviews online. Tried their classic and clams mussels pot, along with baked clams, oysters and clams on the half shell, and chicken parm. The mussel pot was a bit watery and not rich in flavor enough. Came out more like a chicken stock instead of a garlic wine sauce. The baked clams were on point. The chicken parm was not good. The chicken was done to perfect temperature but the problem lies in the tomato sauce which came straight from the can. Could use some work. read more

One of my favorite restaurants in bay ridge! The pots of mussels are so delicious. I've been here twice during COVID and ate outside both times. The food here is so good. The mozzarella and tomato salad is always solid and the fried calamari is everything you could ask for. The mussels (fra diavolo and Maine) are super delicious. The mussels are sweet and the broth is delicious. The mussels go great with the spaghetti and also with the fries. The vodka pie was super delicious. As a New Yorker, the crust is not quite what I expected but it's so much better. The crust is super buttery and perfectly thin. I definitely recommend ordering a pie. I always look forward to it. The wait staff seems a bit overworked - everyone is very nice but we did have to wait a long time to get our servers attention. We had Baked Clams and Calamari appetizers and Original Mussels in white wine sauce and Penne with Cajun shrimp and Chicken. Mussels were perfectly seasoned with sauce and portion generous enough to take some home. Same with Penne it had just enough heat but not overwhelming in a cream sauce it was excellent. On Oct 9th I went to this restaurant with a friend and ordered the seafood paella and first thing is the rice was not yellow rice (Spanish) & it had so much pepper that the chef must have been looking the other way. After dinner I was walking in the street and started getting stomach cramps, nauseous as I got home I was so sick and not going to get graphic the food didn't stay down. I really enjoyed my first time experience at Mussels and More this evening. When I googled outdoor restaurants in Bay Ridge, this restaurant came up with dozens more. There are also two large indoor dining areas with a/c that might be more accommodating considering the current heatwave. Despite this, my friend and I decided to dine al fresco. Service was amazing and en pointe. Never an empty water glass. Ambiance was adorable and food was really good. Here's what we ordered: Grilled calamari to share--delicious, tender and a good sized portion. Accompanied with an aioli dressing on the side. For main, we both settled on the mussels fra diavolo. This was a substantial portion with chunks of tomatoes, lots of mussels and a tolerable spicy kick. Note---there's no side vegetable served with the mussels but with bread for dunking, you'll be plenty satisfied. Btw, as the name implies, there is more to the menu than mussels. House wine, was a delicious Pinot Grigio (or red) only $8. I am looking forward to returning as everything lined up well: delicious food, great service, atmosphere, reasonable prices and an overall inviting experience. Try it. read more

I came here for dinner with the boo Thursday night. We made a reservation, which wasn't necessary considering it was pretty empty inside. It was also very cold inside. I kept my jacket on the entire dinner. The bread brought to our table, accompanied by a marinara sauce was extremely cold. We asked our waiter to heat up the sauce, which he did. He was very informative with menu items. We ordered the bottle of Prosecco. It was really good. We shared the crab cakes, that came with coleslaw for our appetizer. We didn't care for the slaw but enjoyed the crab cakes. We also ordered the shrimp dumplings. The soy sauce that it came with was extra salty but the dumplings themselves were tasty. My boo ordered the teriyaki salmon, that came with veggies and mashed potatoes. The veggies and salmon were great. The mash potatoes tasted extra rough and starchy. Maybe they were instant potatoes? I ordered the Cajun shrimp and chicken fettuccine, but substituted the chicken for calamari. I was told it was spicy, but I didn't taste any spice. It was good nonetheless and a big portion. The food here is very good. We came for a birthday dinner and I tried the linguine with clam sauce and it was amazing. Nice medium size clams, garlic singing pasta. The mussels are very good but the linguine and clams is the star for me and my son. We come here when we are craving pasta. The rest of the food with ok. I was there Wednesday with my brother and sister-in-law. The food was all well seasoned, fresh and delicious. I order the Diavolo mussels and my brother ordered the original. The Diavolo wasn't spicy at all but it was delicious and huge. Both were really big portions and we couldn't even finish all. I would suggest sharing the entree. The mussels came with a side of pasta. I ordered mine with olive oil and garlic and my brother with marinara sauce. My sister-in-law ordered the chicken parmigiana with fettuccine. The plate was also huge and delicious. The service was a little slow but both the server and the busser were very friendly and accomodating. Overall the food is good and the prices are fair. I would say stay away from the scallop because it was dried and fishy even when it was covered in mushroom sauce. It was definitely not fresh. Both of us only ate like half a piece and did not continue. I just finished the pesto risotto and that was it. The Angel hair pasta was not bad, it was loaded with mussels, clams and shrimp. The mash potato was very fluffy and you can tell it was freshly whipped. Real chunks of potatoes in it, not the instant powder ones. Downside was the service took a while even when there was 2 other table but they were very nice. The servers made sure to check up on us and refilled our cups. We ended the night with gelato. I've been here a few times now. For dinner, drinks, or just to escape a rain downpour. Always decent beer selection, interesting crowd of neighborhood regulars to provide good conversation. The seafood cannot be beat. The mussels, as they should be, are the star, rightfully so. Medium sized, super tender, and seasoned perfectly the two times I've had them. Other seafoods I've had, everything was delish. This last visit, I had the Fettuccini Seafood Fra Diavolo.
