Upon my first bite, it's truly impressive how compact the shave ice is. It doesn't even feel like shaved ice at that point and is more comparable to a popsicle in a bowl. Unfortunately, our visit to Wicked Snow was something entirely different. And not in a good way. Instead of soft, fluffy snow, ours was hard and icy. It even had that unpleasant taste ice can get when it's been sitting around too long. The fruit toppings weren't fresh and bright either -- they were frozen solid and tasted like they'd been pulled straight from a forgotten bag of fruit in the bottom of the freezer and dumped on top. This place is too expensive to be such a letdown. We tried. We really did. Eventually, we just stopped eating it. I hate wasting food almost as much as I hate wasting money, but neither of us wanted to finish this. If you've never had really good snow ice, maybe this wouldn't bother you as much. But when you know how light, fluffy and delicious this dessert CAN be, this was an enormous disappointment. We won't be back. It was honestly that bad.
