Old school donut shop. Delicious donuts. This place takes me back to a time when things were simpler. I walk in and it's obviously clean. Older gentleman pops out. Very friendly and efficient. Came here to order two boxes full of kolaches and we bought them all out. They are my favorite place to grab kolaches. I've sure I grab from them when I am in the area. I felt really bad because the customers that were after me was trying to buy kolaches but I wasn't gonna give them mine. We have tried every donut shop between Burnet and Horseshoe Bay TX and and they all taste like the grease they are fried in, EXCEPT for U Donuts...this place is the best by far. Not only are all of the donuts freshly made to perfection, even in the afternoon, but they are also more flavorful than any other donuts in the area (and we have tried them ALL), including at the local grocery stores. PLUS, Sam keeps the place open until at least 2PM, and even longer if he is still working, so when you are in the area, and you need an afternoon fix of yummy baked goodness that is not too sweet, is light, fresh and puffy, obviously fried in fresh, clean oil, we advocate for stopping at U Donuts (the yellow sign just says DONUTS). The donuts are so fresh. My favorite is the Butterfly Roll. The fill donut's with Bavarian cream or Raspberry filling is to die for.

I love when businesses employ youth with disabilities and I support them every time I am looking for a donut fix. The donuts are so yummy!! I personally love the holes- especially when still warm at 6:45am! I recommend the fritters too. The owner always says hello and makes small talk, which is so nice. Ps. If you are waited on by someone who appears "rude," perhaps you live under a rock and don't know anyone on the spectrum. read more

Great family owned shop! I got to meet the owner Sam a few times as he's the Baker. Fun fact, Sam has been in the donut buisness for 32 years and he still uses his original recipe. Sam's always there with a smile on his face every morning, and on the weeknd his Son Ronny is maning the cashier position. The donuts are probably the best I've ever had and that's without exaggerating. I bet you one of his kolaches any of his regulars will say the same. Heads up though, if you want the best donuts go before 8 but if you come later he always has extras in the back, just ask! Can't wait to come back here again for some more. read more

Slow, understaffed, average tasting donuts. Out of kolaches in case and when a patron asked for some they went into the back and asked if he wanted the warmed up? It took me 10 minutes to just order a few things bc they kept interrupting me with other orders. There were only two other customers.... Should have tried M&M. read more

Good donuts but the people working there today were incredibly rude and obnoxious. To be honest, I would just as soon go to the H.E.B. for donuts, as they are also fresh, delicious, larger than these at about the same price. Plus, picking up which donuts I want without relying on a rude person to bag them for me, when I shop for other groceries as well, is more convenient and the people are pretty great. I give U Donuts a zero for service and 3 stars for flavors. read more
