Do not willingly send your dog to this location of No Leash Needed…read more We did puppy preschool at the Hampton location and everyone was great. He learned quickly and was always happy to go. So when I tried to book him for a 4 night boarding there, I was disappointed but felt confident another location would be just as good. I can't believe how wrong I was... Sobek (my 5month old pup) goes to day camp 3-4x/week and has never been this dirty in his life. Even after a whole month! After just 4 days here he came back with his fur on the edge of matting, smelly, with signs he had peed himself and not been cleaned after. His eyes were caked with tears to the point one could not fully open. His tail had a clear spot of matted hair where he'd been chewing too! When they took him out front to me, his harness was not properly tightened for the leash position they were using and it was pulling on muscles in what I can only imagine was painful. Since we've been home he has alternated between crying and napping, not wanting to be more than a foot or two from me. I was a little concerned when I called to check in on him after his first night and they said that they have no cameras on the kennels and no one with the dogs overnight, but couldn't do anything about it while out of town and still had trust for the name brand. Never again.

This place is a life saver for my high energy lab. I hate leaving my dog at home all day while I'm…read moreat work, then feel guilty if I have evening plans and she has to be alone again. She tends to get destructive when left alone too much, but Kamp K-9 solves this problem and wears my dog out! I love that it is a kennel-free facility. The other options in the area kennel the dogs for a good portion of the day, which seems to defeat the purpose of day care. I love that when I pick my dog up from Kamp K-9 I can tell that she has been playing all day.

I know what most of you are saying- "daycare for your dog, you must be one of those crazy pet…read morepeople who buys your dog clothes." Well I love my dog and besides the occasional elf ears (Christmas) and bunny ears (Easter) I do not try to make my dog be a person or my child. But am content to let her be a happy, well loved dog. And that is why I cannot say enough good things about Kamp K-9. In STL pet owners do not have very many choices when it comes to pet Daycare. Many of the places charge you as much as human daycare. These places make your dog sit in a cage most of the day and only have playtime a couple times a day for an hour or so. Kamp K-9 is different, no cages all play with time for eating and a nap. The dogs come for an evaluation day where if they play well with others they are placed in a "playgroup" of 8-10 other dogs- and let me tell you they love this. My dog is shy at places like this- she literally sits on my feet, but she loves Kamp K-9 now. I had to drag her in the first day but when I came to pick her up the first day I had to practically drag her out because she was having too much fun!! They play both inside in a huge warehouse space as well as outside and they take 1.5 hour nap. I don't know how they get them all to sleep but they do. How do I know this well- everyday they take tons of photos and put them on line. If your dog is there you have a password to look at the photos. So you can kind of keep tabs. My dog the shy one who sits on feet is always standing on a picnic table or block with other dogs sitting around her. We like to say this is when she teaches the other dogs things like "if you don't eat your dog food for 2 days your owners will give in, and give you people food." and other ways to stick it to the man. The only downside is you have to have your dog there by 9:30 AM. I work a strange schedule and before noon I actually have time to be with my dog. So now she just goes occasionally but comes home happy and exhausted every time!
