I did have a little difficulty finding an exact cat wet food supplement, and with a little bit of course walking around, I noticed that it was not organized with the brand but had a specific section itself with other wet foods. The workers are so nice here!! Always welcome me in and make good conversation while checking out. I personally love the Royal Canin dachshund dry food as they carry it in bulk. I also pick up the dachshund wet loaf food, it is pricey, but my dog loves it and looks forward to breakfast and dinner. For my cat, I get the purina one chicken dry food. He also loves the beef and liver purina one wet food - he eats the whole can! I tend to always pick up some 'destroyer' toys for my dog and they have all kinds to choose from. Great store. It is well organized and for a store that allows pets, it was super clean. My new rescue is on a special diet per her vet and I am able to purchase a small size bag here. The layout of the dog section is a bit confusing, but once I figured it out- we were good to go. Tons of options for all dogs with all different needs. They had many Hill's options, I went with the sensitive stomach food. They also provide grooming services, have food and necessities for many different kinds of pets/ animals, toys, accessories, the works. Even though I had not received notification that my dog was done with grooming, I went to pickher up because it had been over 4 hours since I dropped her off. Petsmart Brentwood was like a bathroom: hot and steamy. They do not provide water. My dog has a double coat; so my vet said she was probably dehydrated after these conditions. If I could give zero stars, I would! This is the second time the have SHAVED my golden doodle. I brush my dog everyday, and the in between appointments of the shavings, he has only gotten trims. I watched them shave another golden doodle when I was dropping my dog off. They simply just don't want to take the time to actually groom and trim them, as golden doodles should be. Petsmart Crystal City Mo...I have been having my dog groomed by Legacy for the last 2 years. She is great, usually. Today I had a 12:30 pm appointment and Legacy ALWAYS calls to let me know when my dog is done. I called Petsmart at 6:04 pm asking about my dog. I was told the Grooming salon was closed but I could pick up my dog. I got no call or text. I watched all day for a call or text. I got to Petsmart and Legacy was gone but there was a young man there named Matt in the salon with the lights off. I asked why I didn't get a call. He said Legacy did call. I said no, no calls no missed calls. He said he was standing right there when she called. I reiterated there were no calls. He went on that I need to update my phone number (that I've had for over 10 years). I found him completely unprofessional and rude. There could have been an apology or a professional response instead of an argumentative attitude. I told him I was done with him and would speak with Legacy tomorrow. I said thank you when leaving and he responded UhHuh. I have never experienced this type of service from an Employee at this Petsmart since Petsmart opened in Festus. We have taken our Yorkie to PetSmart for a long time to get her groomed. Feb 16, 2024 was just the same. When my husband went to pick her up the groomer told him they "nicked" her while grooming her. It was more than a nick, she was skinned along her leg. I can't imagine the fear and pain our Yorkie was in when it happen. I won't be taking her back to Crystal City, MO PetSmart as they lied about it being a "nick" and didn't offer any compensation for her grooming or a vet visit if it became necessary. read more

The building is a little dated and the parking situation in that lot is rough but the pre order and pick up process is really smooth. A couple of times I have ordered online for pickup and they have clear signage when you walk it on where to go for pick up. There is a button you push and both times a team member has come really promptly and retrieved my order in a timely manner sending me back on my way. Still keeping bettas in tiny cups :( and selling customers too small tanks. They need at least 5 gallons to thrive. When kept in these cups, they are being ammonia poisoned. She was licking her paw a lot, so we checked it out to discover her nail had been cut so short you could barely see it (which I know this was extremely painful, and had to of bleed a lot) and her paw bad was skinned. I have never written a bad review, so this will be the first...I read other bad reviews prior to booking the grooming appointment, but I reluctantly decided to go ahead and book anyway. When I checked in, the groomer asked how much length I wanted off, in which I requested a bath and a scissor cut, as my dog is a flat coat retriever, whose hair is not meant to be shaved or cut down too short. Instead, my dog received a shave. His coat is going to take several months, if not a year, to correct; this has happened once before. When I picked up my dog, I was extremely upset, wondering why he was not groomed the way I requested. The groomer's response was, according to their records, "this is the same cut your dog got a year ago." This information is not true; I have taken both of my dogs to different Pet Smart locations (most recently in May), asked for the same grooming, and they both looked amazing afterward. I'm not sure why the groomer looked at previous records anyway- what was the point of asking what I wanted done at check in? I was offered a refund and half off my next grooming, but declined the refund because I didn't want to be rude + he is clean with nails trimmed. However, I won't be going back. We walked in looking dazed and confused and Melissa came up to us and asked if we needed help. She gently guided us to items that were needed and also gave us a booklet with coupons that we could use. They called to say he was done and when I got there my dog was still so wet I had to blow dry him more myself when I got home. They obviously didn't brush him at all, and the manager flat-out refused to do a sanitary trim because apparently the fur right on his butt is long enough that it qualifies as a full cut...what? She is hiding in a dark closet, something she has never done before. The vet prescribed her antibiotics and pain relievers but she's still so unhappy. I haven't been much of one to frequent Petsmart because I think almost all the food/treats they sell aren't of good quality - read up on canine or feline nutrition and you'll see why. They do now sell one brand that I approve of, Wellness, which is a new thing. I don't feed my pets this brand of food but I do buy their chewy grain free treats, which my dogs (one toothless) enjoy and can eat with no problem. Their prices on toys are pretty good too, as well as supplies. What sets this Petsmart apart is the cat room! I am impartial perhaps. One warm summer day, I wandered by and saw a cute little kitten named Audrey. I fell in love and texted her pic to my now husband. He agreed to come see her. Then I looked at the other kitties and noticed a black older cat rubbing against the bars of his cage trying to get me to pet him. Later on- we came by and they were letting the kitties out of their cages. We saw little Audrey- what a cutie! Then I asked to see the black kitty - Fillmore. They opened his cage and he JUMPED into my arms, nestling his face into my shoulder and purring like crazy. SOLD! Fillmore became my first cat ever. That was the first and last time he liked me to hold him but he still is the coolest cat in the world! Yay Petsmart for bringing us together! read more

As a new cat owner, I don't really have other petstores to compare Petsmart too. It was close and I was anxious to buy lots of essentials for Walcott, so I ended up here. They have a wide variety of food, treats, and toys for cats, dogs, birds, etc. The staff is friendly and helpful. They do allow leashed dogs inside which I don't understand, but to each his own? They offer dog training and grooming as well. I'll probably shop at local stores for Walcott from now on, but in a pinch, PetSmart will certainly do. read more

Petsmart is my go to place to get Charles handsome! I take him here once a month to get washed and cleaned and I have never had an issue with them. I can always get an appointment made when I call. They have always treated Charlie with great care and I love that they give me notes on how everything went and what products they used. The price is very affordable, for a wash and nails clipped it costs me only $27 and that includes brushing his hair, cleaning his ears and teeth and the regular wash and dry. I don't think I would take Charlie anywhere else. Petsmart is close and convenient to me and the price is very easy on my wallet and the service is consistently good. read more
